Rae's POV
Okay I thought things were going smoothly until I tried helping them. They're a group of crazy people. On the way there Lamon almost judo flipped someone getting in a debate with Yamato over dorayaki, and which flavour was superior. Not even the worst as soon as we walked in the small room Seungho tripped and since he was closest to me he instinctively grabbed on.
The thing is he tried grabbing my shoulder but due to his fall angle he ended up grabbing my shirt which did nothing to stop his fall. He went down taking my buttons with it. So the blouse ripped and now we're back in this exact moment where my bra is now exposed to everyone's eyes. I screeched turning and covering my chest with my blazer as much as I could. But it was one of those stupid ones with no buttons to close it. Turning around so the others couldn't see me I tried salvaging the buttons of my blouse that were still on.
"I'm a pure child and I just saw someone's chest I have sinned!" Lamon exclaimed from behind me.
I couldn't do much with the material I had, the fall also ripped off some fabric so the blouse was basically scraps hanging off my body now.
"Here take my hoodie!" I tuned my head to see Jaehyun's outstretched hand, and the black hoodie he was no longer wearing under his coat was now in his hand.
I took it gratefully and the boys turned around so I could put it on. It was a size too big but my long arms poked out, I rolled up the sleeves and told the boys they could turn.
"Okay phew things are alright again! I am a pure child once more!" Lamon said sighing dramatically as he saw me wearing the hoodie. Is he really the oldest of everyone here...
"I'm so sorry noona I didn't mean to! 죄송합니다!" Seungho kept apologising, so flustered he was switching between Korean and English mid sentence.
"It's okay calm down. I'm not mad, besides that was just some cheap blouse I didn't really like so you did me a favour there!" I said patting his shoulder. With my words he visibly calmed down and no longer looked red in the face.
The actual learning part wasn't so bad. Yamato and I split the guys up since he's Japanese and he'll know Japanese as well. Well kinda obvious but- never mind. I taught Daehyun, Seungho and Minjae, Yamato taught Lamon and Jaehyun. Time went by quickly and before we knew it three hours had passed.
"Can we go? We've done everything for today." Seungho looked at me hopefully. I took out their planner book Jisoo gave me and checked their plans.
"Yeah you guys are free, but you have an early start cause we're heading to Busan!" I said sternly. I feel like a mother duck cause all of them just nodded their heads like little kids.
I had my own office next to Lishi and sat inside whilst the boys headed back to their dorms. I got to work scheduling their events for the week, trying to give them enough free time to rest. They have so many events this week though, it'll be tough. A fansign in Busan tomorrow, afterwards they're all on Idol Master the next morning. Then practice till like 9pm cause their new album drops the following day.
My work took a good two hours to complete. By the time I was done it was still early in the day. At about 5pm I was practicing my Korean listening, and my Japanese writing skills. I was interrupted in the end by Seungho knocking on my door, even though it was open. Cute little kid.
"Hey noona, Minjae-hyung wanted me to invite you out!" He shouted out, not quite looking me in the eye. Guess the incident is still awkward for him, but it's alright it was just an accident.
"Sure I haven't seen Seoul properly yet." I said getting up. I sent myself some of my work to look at tonight and locked my office as I headed out. Daehyun was outside as well so we just all walked out of the building together to meet the guys.
Seungho was rambling excitedly about him being the best at Mario Kart, and Daehyun talked about books and which one he's been reading. He and I had the same interests genre wise so we recommended different books to each other, and I promised Seungho to play a game against him one day. They're pretty nice guys not gonna lie, although Seungho won't stop with formal words. I mean I won't stop him if he's comfortable like that but I feel old.
When we reached the guys they rest had also changed out of their workout clothes into comfy black casual shirts and jeans. They were all wearing masks but by their hair I could immediately tell who's who. Lamon had highlighter yellow hair now so he was almost a beacon but he covered it with a beanie.
"Hey Rae we got you a little gift since you just started!" Minjae said smiling, producing a small package from behind his back.
"Aw thank you but you didn't have to spend anything on me." I said touched. It's really heart warming to see this, they really didn't need to do anything for me. Opening the package I saw a beautiful ruby red butterfly necklace. It was so stunning and intricate, and the colours fit together.
"It's so beautiful!" I exclaimed joyfully. Jaehyun took out the necklace and put it on me. It sat just perfectly, and I gave them all a big child-like grin. I put on a mask like the rest of the boys and put my hair in a bun. My hair is usually out in its naturally curly state but it's too recognisable and nobody needs a dating scandal.
"Let's go, I'll treat everyone to some barbecue!" Seungho and Lamon cheered at my words. I can sense my days are never going to go back to normal. Chuckling at my own thoughts we headed out as a unit walking to the nearest korean bbq restaurant.
We ended up at a place ten minutes away. It was a Korean bbq place with halal options, which was pretty cool cause I could take Seohyun and Lishi here without a problem. We were sat all the way in the back and a male serve came with menus. I just let the guys order whatever they wanted because they were the experts, but I added in a few of my personal favourites.
"We want food! We want food!" They all chanted together. Laughing at their weirdness I looked over the place to check if there was any fans.
"Lishi?" I blinked once again seeing the familiar eyes of my friend, who like me earlier was wearing a mask. She was standing waiting for a seat with some boys who I'm guessing are her group Sync, when she looked over and waved at me.
"Oh who's that?" Jaehyun asked seeing me wave enthusiastically to my best friend.
"That's my best friend Alishbah, but she prefers if you call her Lishi." I said waving her and her group over. Lishi's group all bowed in greeting before I invited them to join us.
"Oh no we can't do that it'll be impolite." One really tall guy said. Damn he's like 6'3 easily, he's like a tree.
"I insist as your seniors we'll treat you guys to dinner!" I said and the boys on my side nodded enthusiastically. We had enough space on this giant table so Lishi's group finally relented and sat beside us. I of course dragged Lishi to my side.
"And how was your day?" I asked amused because I could see her tiredness in her eyes. More so a look of 'I'm so fucking done' and 'I need sleep'.
"I realise my name is hard to pronounce. But alihooba? Like that's not even a bit close." She said sighing and leaning back in her seat. I started laughing at her words. Her name is hard to pronounce for some people but I got it right first time when we met. My name is fairly easy to say I mean it's Rae, not long.
"Can I fire myself please?" She moaned dramatically, making me laugh harder and Jaehyun who was next to me looked over. Lishi can be dramatic, if she was really annoyed she'd be more of a quiet storm. A silent assassin, whereas my anger or annoyance is more of an outburst of satanic rage.
"Hello I'm Kim Jaehyun nice to meet you Alishbah." Jaehyun said holding out his hand for a handshake. She shook his hand and it's noticeable that she was a surprised happy.
"You are the second korean to ever get my name right first time, nice one!" She said with a slightly raised eyebrow.
"Ah I used to live in the States so I learned how to say different names!" Oh that makes sense. That's why he doesn't have a korean accent when he talks in English as well... hm he's good!
We all conversed and had a nice time together as a giant group of like 10+ people. Lishi and I showed off our cooking abilities by cooking the meat for everyone and Minho, the tall guy nearly set his sleeve on fire reaching for the food. He got a little singed but it's fine. It was a good laugh either way. The older boys were drinking but me, Minho, and Lishi were 100% not having anything. Lishi and Minho for obvious reasons, I find it really interesting Minho is korean but muslim its something I haven't seen but it's cool. Lishi and I also need to look out for the boys so even if we could we wouldn't. So whilst a few drank it the underage ones and us did a fun game of Never Have I Ever involving lemon juice shots instead.
We heard of a fun karaoke place nearby from the waiter so we all decided on going there. We split up our groups again for cover, and headed off only a few metres apart from other. It got really dark in the time we were inside, so we tried keeping to main roads.
"Night vision glasses would be so cool right now." Daehyun said looking around. True.
The boys continued being goofy whilst I checked out the surrounding area. These boys are really popular nowadays so any time someone could try and snap a picture if they recognise them. When I was about to turn to say everything is alright I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. It was a guy dressed in black coming out from a side street. It wouldn't have piqued my curiosity before but he was alone on a regular club night and carrying a big bag. He ended up walking in the same direction as us for a few minutes.
"Hey psst Jaehyun." I whispered to him. He turned and saw my serious face, frowning at the sight.
"What's wrong?" I explained to him that the guy is kinda creepy and they should watch out in case he's a saesang fan or a paparazzi person. He nodded and whispered it back to the boys who pretended to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary. Lishi waved at me from her group a little further ahead than ours. I turned back to meet her eyes.
"Hey come on you guys are really slow!" She said with a smile. Her smile dropped as she looked behind me and she screamed.
"LOOK OUT!" Instinctively I ducked. And I'm sure fucking glad I did because I saw the glint of a knife passing through the spot where my skull would've been.
"RUN!" I shouted at the boys. Most of them were frozen in shock and didn't process what I said.
The creepy guy was now holding a large knife and started swinging at me. Ducking and dodging his attempts to turn me into a live kebab, or pin cushion, I started trying to look for a way to defend myself. I know I'm an idiot you should usually fight with someone who had a knife but he's already got me cornered into a wall I might as well try to fight back. My body almost instinctively reacted to the guy trying to swing at me and raised my leg up to kick him in abdomen. He doubled down and I took the opportunity to kick the back of his legs as well so he'd go down. He did and as he did he dropped the knife in pain. Using my feet to push it out of his reach, cause of finger prints, I looked down at the guy. Absolute rage filled me. It was almost as if I was possessed by a vengeful spirit. I stepped on the guys chest as started pressing down.
"Do you think that this was a good idea? Just aim for a weak foreigner girl?" I spat out furiously.
"Stay right here! Someone call the police!" I said turning to the guys. Lamon was the first to react taking out his phone to call the cops. Daehyun took out his phone as well probably calling the company. I turned my attention back to the guy who was now smiling, that itself sent shivers up my spine.
"One day you'll be returned to us princess." He said in perfect English, before opening his mouth wide and biting down on his own tongue severing it completely.
"Oh shit!" I cursed but it was too late he already choked on his blood, almost immediately dying.
My phone pinged suddenly and I jumped at the sound.
Unknown: Nice moves but that isn't going to stop them....
Oh fuck no.
