May I have a fruitful day
Have you ever been the situation where you feel looked down upon. That's how I feel now. Its more awkward when that person comes to you only when they see you useful to them, or when they only dare call your name while on normal days they won't even respond to you as if you were some log.
Let's forget about those negativities,after all life don't stop because some people. I believe if you won't add up to my life then don't take away from me the little things that makes me "me".
So this afternoon, Jessica asked me to meet so we can check out some hostel accommodation and I gladly went along. I mean why wouldn't I and I needed the company to refresh my thoughts. This was supposed to be me, JG and Abby but then can't change the past so why won't I move on.
"Hey Jey, do you mind if I appear late. The shuttle seems to be arriving late." I told her knowing fully well that on my way to allow cash out, I missed the shuttle and later on my way back to the premises, I missed another making two."Oh sure. I don't mind. I'm even having group studies with some friends so of course I don't mind at all. Take ur time",she replied.
We ended with a bye. I was kinda nervous and all for many reasons so I decided to kill time while playing water sort. About 20 minutes later,the shuttle arrived so we formed a queue to join the others in the bus.
Unfortunately, there was no seat left for me due to how slow the girl ahead of me was so I had to stand and as we all know, I hate standing in the shuttle since I always get thrown here and there. I believe its because I'm light weigh.
Getting off the bus,now my problem is how to locate Jey.
"Jey, I'm here. Where are you." I asked immediately she answered the call."I'm on my way. Where are you at the moment",she asked."I'm in front of faculty of social science." " okay, I'll meet you there", she said. But then I thought since she's coming from her,why don't I meet her on the way.
It just happened that the path we both chose was parallel so we didn't meet each other as I thought. So I had to return back and wait for her.
As a matter of fact,I was not in glasses so I had difficulty seeing her but eventually we found each other amidst laughter 🤣.
Finally, I got to meet her friends.
" So everyone, meet OB and OB meet my friends. ", she introduced us. " Hi everyone ",I said with a smile. They gave me a warm smile which I gladly returned. I didn't take long for them to wrap up with Jey giving them some pointers. I was actually keen to know more since we would have been offered the same course if I missed on my first choice but then it is well. Saying goodbye, we went on our own separate ways with me carrying Jey's toot bag.
" Hey, why don't you call Lucia to join us since it's around her hostel. " ,I suggested knowing fully well that Jey will never agree to call Lucia. Even though they are on good terms as you know, some friendship has their special bond which I like to test. Lucia mostly like blueticking a lot of us so everyone found their own way to deal with her. For me, I don't know. I have always admire Cia's fighting spirit so I may find no problem with her and I'm also her secretary so how am I to find fault with my boss.
" Hello, " I was actually confused cause after taking my phone,I realised I missed a call from an unknown no. I didn't know how to go about the talk. Frankly speaking, I was afraid it would be some scammer and on other hand, I was quite afraid it will be someone else. Later through careful consideration, I decided to be formal. " I'm Obaayaa. ",I said.On the end," hello, you called me on my other line and I decided to return the call." ,the later said. Then I realised, " Ohh, I'm sorry but are you Lucia's mom" " Yes dear. " after wards, the conversation became more familiar. She later told me she'll let Cia know that I called.
"What did she say ", Jey asked. " she said to let her know." I told her. " Wait, I have her other no. Lemme give it to you." " Why don't you call her",I persuaded. " you already know the answer. Do I have to say it loud", she said.I called out the number to me and I dailed it but neither did we know what would come next. I gave the phone to her when I heard the voice at the other end. It sounded mature, not like I'm saying Cia sound immature but I could sense the voice belongs to a woman.later I heard Jey telling the woman it was a wrong number. Then burst into uncontrolled laughter. That was close.
Cross checking the two,I realised the wrote the wrong number.
Finally, Almighty-Jey decided to make the call. After some chit-chat and making fun,we asked Cia to give us a call when she got back. Cia was escorting a friend to repair her phone.
The hostel we went to see was impressive I must say. The environment was serene and clean. There was even a basketball 🏀 field I noted. As we climbed the stairs, I realised it was sparkling clean and pleasing to the eye. Such an environment is excellent, I thought.
Then we got to Jey's sister's room. It had a large hall with couches and a flat tv. There was three rooms with the nearest being accommodated by her sister. At a glance, I thought she was the only one residing in the room. As if Jey knew what I was thinking, she said,"each room accommodate three peers like a room for three. The two over has only boys residing in it". Guess the idea that popped into my head. Hmmm, if we so happen to get our neighbours to be boys as well, then ,maybe it likely ermmm...I actually don't know what I'm expecting.
The room wasn't that bad but I didn't quite like the bathroom. The balcony was a view to behold even though I exaggerating a bit. But I think it's good for time alone.
Moving back to campus, we grabbed some food to fill our empty stomach. Eating the beans with sausage, I realised it was delicious but small for such a hungry girl like me. I read a story afterwards and then,fell into a deep slumber.
Waking up, it was getting late and it seems like it was also about to rain ☔. Later Jey escorted me to take troski.
Back in my hostel room, I did some serious study, cooked dinner and after eating, I went back to my beauty sleep.
