The Blackwills Mansion

Grandpa Enzo led the way out of the room, but before they left, Shian took a good look at the room, it was wide with white walls on each side and nothing in it except the portal in which they came through.

"Why did we come through this portal, I thought we were supposed to come out through a portal in a military base?" Shian asked.

"The portal we used to head to that beast planet belongs to the military, but the one we just used to come back here is connected to this one we just came through." Grandpa Enzo explained while pointing to the red shimmering portal behind them.

"So if you want to go back to the beast planet, you have to use the portal that belongs to the government, right?" Shian asked.

"Hmm...not really. You see..." Grandpa Enzo was about to say something but changed his mind. "Nevermind, you're correct."

They left the room and he led Shian down the long corridor, the walls where bare with nothing except the windows.

'I thought they were rich, aren't rich families supposed to have something like a red carpet in their hallway or at least something like that.' Shian thought.

They arrived at a flight of stairs that led upwards, it was then that Shian realized that they were actually underground the whole time, he thought the scene he saw through the windows were real, the breeze, the warmth of the sun, everything felt real to him. As they reached the last stair, Grandpa Enzo pushed the door in front of them open and a beautiful scene welcomed Shian.

They were once again inside a room, this room though was different, it was well decorated. The first thing Shian saw was something that was called a Chandelier, he had never seen one physically except in pictures that he saw sometimes in books or on billboards when he followed his father to get groceries.

There was a bed with several kinds of pillows resting on it and a blanket with their family crest on it, the bed was so wide, Shian wondered if this room belonged to only one person and as if he could read minds, Grandpa Enzo confirmed his thoughts.

"This is my room. And please, Do not touch anything."

That wasn't all though, there was a black rug with red edges that covered the center of the room and it also had their family logo on it in its center, there was a desk filled with papers and a chair close to it, a sofa was excatly across the bed and it looked to be very soft, to put it simply, the room was decorated in grand style.

Shian was snapped out of his stunned state by Grandpa Enzo who was walking out of the room without looking back. Shian ran after him and they both exited the room.

Shian once again found himself in a hallway, there was a red carpet that was as long as Shian could see, it probably went round the whole mansion, though he couldn't tell, there were paintings of past ancestors and powerful people on the walls, some of them Shian knew, some, he didn't.

There were vases filled with flowers at intervals beside each painting, each flower released a pleasant smell and made the surroundings in a way... filled with energy. It was a sensation that Shian couldn't understand, though Grandpa Enzo filled him in with a satisfiable answer.

"This plants here are called Cannabis Sativa." Grandpa Enzo started while pointing at the plant next to a painting.

"Previously they were used as stimulants by drug addicts, but now that their Species has tapped into the blessing, they have become too powerful to be used as stimulants because their smell alone is enough to kill a full grown adult in seconds, not to talk of tasting it, but thanks to the barrier surrounding it." Grandpa Enzo moved his finger close to the plant and a ripple was seen in the space surrounding it pushing his finger back. "The power of the smell has been reduced considerately."

They continued their walk down the hallway as Grandpa Enzo described almost all the people in the paintings.

"And finally this young man here is one of our familiy's most honoured ancestors. Ryker Blackwill." Grandpa Enzo looked at the painting and smiled. "He led our family out of slavery and also gave us the name, Blackwill."

"Really?" Shian uttered in surprise.

"Yeah, as you know, a slave does not have a name nor can they be given one except by their master. But this man here, he fought his way out of slavery using everything he had at his disposal, he killed both innocent and guilty people just to be free. hmph, pity.

Legends have it that it is the reason for that name, his will to survive was so immense, he was willing to do anything for it."

"Hmm... Blackwill, that's a name that suits that kind of person, I guess." Shian muttered.

Grandpa Enzo walked away unknowingly leaving Shian behind. Shian lingered for while looking at the painting. A young man around Shian's age with blonde hair, sharp black eyes, and a half metal mask that covered his mouth and a little of his pointed nose could be seen in the painting. The young man was in a black dirty attire that covered his whole body which made it look like he was in a desert like area. Shian studied the painting for a while before walking away, but at this point, Grandpa Enzo was already long gone.

Shian immediately ran down the hallway hoping to catch up with Grandpa Enzo wherever he may have gone to.

He didn't know how far he had run but he eventually got to a double door at the end of the hallway, he pushed open the door and stepped outside. An alluring background welcomed him, but the main thing that attracted his attention was the visage of a boy his age practicing a type of martial art, his technique and style made Shian enter battle mode, he was suddenly itching for a battle with the boy practicing in his front.

The boy who was practicing was wearing a conical hat, it couldn't even be called that as it was almost flat, it blocked his face and prevented Shian from seeing his face.

Without warning the boy looked in his direction and charged at him, Shian was finally able to see his face, he had a pointed nose, blonde hair that was packed in a ponytail and stark white eyes that looked creepy, the boy...

...was blind.

Shian was startled at first but immediately recovered and also charged at him.

They both met each other at the center, the boy spun and delivered a swift kick to Shian's side, Shian jumped completely evading the kick and delivered an axe kick directly on top of the conical hat. The moment his legs touched the hat, he felt a tremendous surge of pain ravage his head. He landed gracelessly and staggered back, the boy in the conical hat wasn't any better, he was in a dazed state as Shian's kick, although looking simple, packed power. They recovered almost at the same time, but as they were about to exchange blows again a voice boomed out throwing them off their feet.

"What do you think you two are doing."
