Chapter Thirty Six: Mortals in the Underworld

Jonah felt like he was choking and couldn’t breath. He did his best to cough out all the smoke and waved it away with his free arm. He couldn’t open his eyes to see if Nick was doing the same.

Finally, the smoke started to settle and Jonah looked around the space a little dumbfounded. Everything was decorated in red and gold. It looked almost like they were standing in the middle of a music studio. There were doors to the left and the right that were filled with recording spaces and musical instruments.

Slowly, the two boys walked forward, trying to get their bearings and figure out where to go.

“This is not what I imagined this place looking like,” Jonah muttered mostly to himself.
