Chapter Forty Three: The Sacrifice Soul

Ahpunch stared hard at Nick. Jonah shivered a bit from the intensity of the demon’s glare. He was much more frightening in his form and Jonah admired Nick’s ability to hold Ahpunch’s gaze without quivering.

“I think I already know where this is going and the answer is no,” Ahpunch barked. He crossed his arms over his chest as if to solidify his response. Nick smirked.

“I understand your hesitation, I do, but I think this is the only way we can all get what we want,” Nick answered.

“I’m not going to end his life just to not have to lose him. That’s so incredibly selfish,” Ahpunch muttered, moving to lean against the thin dorm room wall.

“Ahpunch, do you know how long humans live?” Mazakin questioned, standing up and moving towards her fellow demon in an almost seductive-like manner. Ahpunch stared at her for a moment before reluctantly shaking his head. “They only live about 80 years, maybe 100 at the most. That’s like a blink of an eye for creatures like you and me.”
