Lucas arrived home exactly one hour after his phone call with Maya. She had no idea yet, but except for being late to their first date (intentionally), this man was never going to be late to anything that involved her again.
As he stepped into the house, he could smell the unique fragrance of Mexican spices in the air. He raised an eyebrow curiously and headed into the dining room. Thanks to Sumi, who was skilled in a variety of cuisine, they often got to eat food from all around the world. Today, she had made nachos.
Lucas glanced into the kitchen and saw that Sumi was not alone. Next to her, Maya was helping to assemble the dishes and they seemed to be discussing something serious.
"What? So you had an affair in Vegas?" Maya exclaimed, trying her best to keep her voice down.
Ever since these girls got to know each other, they had begun to share everything with each other.
