Chapter 21:Unexpected Visitors

The two ate their food in harmony. They talked about the things they would plant in the backyard and the renovation of the garden in the front yard.

If somebody walks inside their house they might think that the two are an old couple who understand each other. They don't talk using sweet words but their tacit understanding make them look like lovers who knew each other for years.

This is the kind of atmosphere the two had everyday.

Nina was so content with her peaceful life that she didn't even bother to count how many days she had been with Hades. It's like she feels that it was just normal to see Hades beside her.

Nina didn't even realize that Hades had succeeded in creeping his way into her life.

Like now, the two are eating strawberries while watching a movie. Hades is already done watering the plants in the backyard. He didn't allow Nina to water those plants because he doesn't like her to carry heavy things.

Actually, Hades doesn't like Nina to do anything, he just wants her to sit down and let him do the work but he also knows that Nina will never allow him to do that. What Hades can only do is to take the heavy tasks and do other work in the house that Nina would not notice.

Nina feels like this was the life she has been dreaming before, no hassle, no waiting, no stress.

Nina doesn't need to wait for her man to come home because the man she is with now has never left her. She knew that he took his work here just to be with her. She also knows that when he thinks she's already asleep, that's the only time he will take phone calls or video conferences.

That's the reason why she asked him to set up an internet connection here. She also helped him build his database firewalls because she thinks that such a firewall was too easy for the previous Nina's knowledge to enter, what if others would also try? That would be troublesome for Hades.

Nina is also reaping the benefits of their internet. Now, she is happily watching a movie and munching the strawberries that Hades puts in her mouth while she's leaning on his side. This is life.

"We will go to the hospital tomorrow" Hades said while he wipes the excess strawberry juice from Nina's lips.

"Huh? Why?" Nina looked at him confusedly

"You have schedule for check-up tomorrow" Hades said smiling, he really can't get enough of his woman's reactions

"It's already the 22nd today?"

"Yup, tomorrow is is already the 23rd of March, your scheduled check-up" Hades can't help but to pinch Nina's cheek

"I haven't noticed," Nina said, still confused.

Hades smiled wider when he heard what Nina said. She hasn't noticed. It means she's so comfortable with her life that she didn't bother about the time; it also means that she's used to his existence to have a comfortable life these past few days.

"Don't worry, if it's about you, I won't forget so I will just remind you"

Nina smiled after hearing that. This man can really make her heart feel full.

They continued to sit and watch until they heard knocks from the door. Hades frowned after hearing that. He already told Ares not to come here, he even told his subordinates to block him when they see him. So who is this person who wanted to destroy their world of only two people? Too annoying.

"Are you expecting anyone?" Nina asked Hades, she doesn't know anyone here except Grandma Sol and they always visit her when they are out for morning walk.

"No" Nina can see Hades' frown when he said that, why is this man frowning now? Nevertheless, Hades still stood up to check and he felt more annoyed when he saw who wanted to destroy his and Nina's world.

Nina became curious when she saw Hades just standing in front of the open door so she stood up and followed him.

Nina smiled when she saw the people who visited them.

"Aunt Karen! Uncle Cronos!"

"Oh my dear Nina! How are you?! I was planning to surprise you but a wood opened the door instead of you!" Karen said then she pushed Hades away to take her hands

"Is that so?" Nina smiles at her, wait do they know about her relationship with Hades? The three of them looked stunned to see each other here in her house, Aunt Karen just quickly recovered.

"Anyway, come inside, we have strawberries, I'm sure you'll like it" if they know, it's fine. She likes Hades anyway, although they don't have any proper label of what their relationship is, they both have the tacit understanding to just enjoy each other's company.

Nina led the old couple to sit on the chairs in their terrace before going to the kitchen to get more strawberries and food. Hades wanted to follow but she urged him to stay and accompany his parents first, his lips twitched after hearing what he needed to do. He looks like she is forcing him to eat something he doesn't like.

"those are your parents, you are just going to entertain them, why are you acting like I am forcing you to do something bad?" Nina feels funny while looking at his reaction

"They will be yours too" Hades said "fine, don't exhaust yourself" he said then he kissed her forehead before going to his parents

Nina just started preparing food and juice for Hades' parents. It's their first time here in her house so she should make them feel welcome.

She took out her freshly picked strawberries from her space and her newly made flower tea ball. She made it from the flowers and white tea leaves that she planted in her space.

She also took some cookies that she baked the other day. She noticed that Hades doesn't like sweets so she made two types, one sweet with strawberry jam fillings and the other one is plain. Maybe Hades inherited his taste from one of his parents so she brought both types of cookies.

When she went back to the terrace to bring the food and tea, it's her turn to twitch her lips. Is this how Hades usually entertain visitors? They look like they are having a staring contest!

"Nina! My dear, good thing you are back! I'm going to die of boredom here! Next time you just let the wood block do this kind of thing!" Karen felt distress to see her daughter-in-law serving them!

Nina was amused by Aunt Karen's reaction. Aren't mother-in-laws usually hate to see their son doing any work?

" Auntie, he is already tired from watering the plants in the backyard" Nina said while she poured hot water into the cups of the two before pouring for Hades and her.

The two smiled when they saw Nina serving them with tea, they felt like they were now experiencing the tea ceremony of their daughter-in-law. The two were also amazed when they saw the flower ball slowly unravel its petals from the heat of the water.

Karen momentarily forgot to criticize her son and took the cup of flower tea to taste it. She was happy with the taste that she felt her body relaxed and energized. Cronos did and felt the same as his wife.

"Nina, where did you buy this tea?" Karen curiously asked, she also wants to enjoy this tea at home or wherever they go.

"She made that, only as a hobby, not for sale" Hades, who was silent for a while now, answered for her.

Nina was grateful for Hades' answer but how did Hades know that she was the one who made it? She looked at Hades who was also drinking the tea. He only winked at her then he continued to pretend like a wooden block.

"shame, I wanted to buy some so I can enjoy it at home"

"I've made quite a lot, you can bring some if you want" Nina said, she can't let them leave empty handed, right? Let them have her handmade tea when they leave, she really made a lot, and besides all the food in her space kept on stacking, she needs to find some time to give it to any orphanage just like her original plan.

"Oh, you are really an angel! I don't know why after this woodblock cheated on you, you still accepted him!" Aunt Karen praised her but didn't forget to discredit her son, but there was a word that made Nina tremble

"You cheated on me?" Nina asked Hades with one of her eyebrows raise, she's now thinking where she put her pan

"No! How can I cheat, I don't have enough time to be with you always so where can I find time to even think of cheating?"

"Then what is Aunt saying?" his mother won't lie about this stuff, right?

"mom" Hades finally talked to his mom, his dad's years of training is not enough to stop him from clearing his name.

"Nina, didn't you tell me that your boyfriend cheated on you?" Karen is also confused now, what's happening?

"Ex" Hades added, he doesn't like to hear anything about that guy because he still doesn't have time to punch him now "You hid Nina before because you thought I cheated on her?"

"it was not you who cheated?" the two looked like they swallowed a fly, did they punish their son mistakenly?

"Aunt, no, he is not that guy I told you before"

"Then why are you saying that she is your wife if she was not even your girlfriend before?" Cronos asked Hades

"She will be my wife" Hades said flatly, does this old man need to bring this topic out? He is still working to make Nina want him more before asking her to be his wife

"Nina darling, how did you my son?" Karen asked her not minding the two men who seem to emit lightning through their eyes.

"Uhm, this…" how should Nina explain this to them? Nina was about to tell that they just met before she left the capital but Hades stopped her.

Hades knew that this day would come. In their family, the most valued thing is honesty. His dad said before that he can lie to all people but never to his family because how can his family believe him if he treat is not honest with them? He also knew that his parents will not let him go once they found out the truth but he doesn't want to lie about Nina.

Hades started narrating what happened that night, he can already see his parents getting darker with every words he says but he still continued, he just skipped the part where he saw Nina glowing. That part would be his and Nina's secret, he knew there's something unexplainable about Nina and he doesn't mind. He will help her keep it until they die.

"Done?" Cronos asked his son, Hades just nodded, when Cronos saw his son nodded, he stood up and punched his son's face

Nina's eyes widened when she saw what Hades' dad did. The punch was so hard that it made Hades fall on the ground and made the side of his lips to bleed.

"Stand up! Let's go to the police!" Cronos angrily said. He can't believe that the son he trained for many years can make this terrible mistake! Hades just stood up and nodded like he already expected this to happen

"Auntie, what is happening?" Nina can't still process what's happening in her head, she was just looking at Hades who is slowly walking away

"Nina, everything will be fine. Your parents are not here to make Hades experience the punishment of what he did, let us do this for you" Karen looks strong but Nina can see that she is forcimg herself not to cry.

"No, it was not just his fault, it was also my fault" Nina is now being emotional, she feels that they are taking somethimg very important to her, she cant just sit still!

She wanted to follow Cronos and Hades but she felt pain on her lower abdomen, when she looked down she became afraid, what's happening to her? Is she going to lose her child?

"Nina, oh my god! Nina, what's happening?" Karen screamed when she saw blood in between Nina's legs

Hades and Cronos haven't walk far when they heard the scream of Karen. Hades run fast after hearing that something bad might have happened to Nina. When he entered the house, he saw his mother holding Nina while Nina is deathly pale. He quickly went beside Nina

"Hades… Am I going to lose him?" tjis time, Hades noticed the blood in between Nina's legs, he didn't care about his parents anymore. He picked up Nina and rushed to the car. Jerry is already there to drive for them.

"Hospital, make it fast" Hades instructed Jerry.

"Don't cry, evrything will be alright" Hades said as he hugged Nina.
