After running for a few minutes, Azura arrived home, and as usual, leyla was there waiting for him.
"Hnm, someone is back early." Leyla said, obviously teasing her brother. in response, azura smiled and passed her the food flask. she raised an eyebrow without saying anything.
lifting both hands in the air, azura began laughing. "Trust me, it's from Mr Green, and he made the spicy rice specifically for you. I didn't steal anything, and he has requested to see you tomorrow."
"I see. Okay, that means tomorrow is a laundry free Saturday, " she said while laughing. no way, leyla, you have to do the laundry. Besides, we won't be meeting him until the afternoon.
They continued to tease each other, and after eating with leyla, azura decided to step out of the house and carry out his other plans for the day. "Leyla, don't stay up late. Go to bed on time. I might be out a little bit late than usual." After saying this, he left the house without allowing leyla to say a word.
Azura ran through the streets of Valon City as quickly as he could. After running for 20 minutes, he arrived at Rogue Hunters Inc. "This is it azura, there's no going back now." Azura said to himself as he walked into the building.
While inside the building, he noticed several people with different weapons and fighting equipment, some were standing alone, and others were in groups of five.
Azura noticed a reception area where most of the people present in the room would get some information from before heading into different rooms, so after observing for a while, he made his way towards the receptionist.
"Hello ma'am, I would like to register as a rogue hunter," azura said. looking at the skinny azura for while the receptionist proceeded to explain the entire process to him.
After registration, azura thought he would be able to raid a dungeon right away, but much to his surprise, he was required to go for a test before he would be assigned a team only then would he be able to hunt rouge exceptionals or to go on raids in a dungeon.
Stepping into the test room, he was handed a basic level katana. considering the fact that he had never fought with a weapon before, azura was relying on his luck to pass through this test.
Exiting the room, the employee who had handed azura the katana closed the doors behind him, and several basic level Ai robots were ushered into the room from a small opening on the wall.
These robots were programmed to fight. The moment they entered into the room, they began sending energy blasts at azura. He managed to avoid their attacks while also using the katana to slash at the Ai robots.
The more Ai's he defeated, the more robots were sent into the room. azura kept fighting until he began to tire out. At this point, he could barely avoid the attacks of the robots, and he was beginning to sustain a lot of injuries.
seeing this, the employee in charge of Azura's test decided to end the trial, and the remaining Ai robots all stopped attacking azura as the door to the room slid opened.
"Congratulations, Azura Everd. You're now officially a rogue exceptional hunter." While saying this, he handed azura a badge that displayed his name and his current hunter level, with the level being Rank F.
azura wasn't pleased with this. From the badge, it was obvious that after his trial, they had only graded his current strength level as a level F even though he had an A grade power.
Hahaha. Next time, thank me when I issue out missions rather than complain. Otherwise, you would die a weakling. the annoying voice of the system sounded in Azura's head. azura sighed.
"Well, are there any available tasks i can apply for currently?" azura asked the person standing in front of him.
"Hnm, just heard to the reception floor, informations about tasks and missions are usually in the information board and for someone at your current power level I advise you team up with others before accepting any tasks so you don't become beasts food."
with that, azura made his way back to the reception hall. The katana was still with him as he had forgotten to drop it off before leaving the trial room.
He stood there, unwilling to pair up with others, during the past years he had learnt not to trust people and teaming up with bunch of strangers in other to complete a mission didn't seat right with him.
For starters, he decided to check and see the kind of tasks and missions that were currently available. making his way to the information board, he could see several wanted pictures of rogue exceptionals with huge bounties that have been placed on their heads.
He also saw requests about some specific type of mutant beasts with the information of the dungeons where those beasts were located also present. Next to it was the amount that would be paid upon completing the tasks.
One of such missions had caught Azura's eyes. From the information, he would have to hunt down, kill, and bring back several bodies of low-level mutant beast.
According to the diagram of the beast and the information present, the beast looked very much like regular ape, with the only exception being the fact that they had 4 hands.
From the information present, azura could see that upon completing this mission, the pay would be $10,000.
for someone like azura who was broke, it sounded like a lot of money but the truth was, that amount of money was still small expecially due to the fact that he would have to team up with others in other to carry out this mission successfully.
Looking around, azura could see four odd individuals walking towards the information board. Among them was a lady with a bow and arrows as well as a short man and two hefty looking men.
The lady had a rank E badge on, and the three men all had the letter D displayed on their badge, stating that their current power level was at rank D.
Seeing this, Azura quickly greeted them and offered to team up with them. After deliberating for a bit, they decided to allow azura into their team. " Kid, you are responsible for your own weight. Try not to get in our way so you don't die." the short Man said nonchalantly.
Azura could tell they were obviously looking down on him because of his rank and skinny look. but as usual, it didn't bother him one bit. He needed the money and experience.
Heading into the dungeon, they needed to go through a teleporter, so everyone of them held hands as they walked in through the teleporter.
A few moment later, they arrived at the other side, contrary to what azura was thinking, wherever they had appeared, didn't look like the underground dungeons azura had heard or read about. if anything, this was an above ground dungeon infact it looked like they had been teleported into a forest.
