Royce thought about her earlier words, "I'm giving you one last chance," and suddenly felt that something was quietly slipping away from this moment on.

Edmond was Royce's uncle. They didn't get along well. Lily liked Royce and had little interaction with Edmond.

"I want to cancel the wedding with Royce."
