Ch 39: A imp to spy on Sannoth

Xalroz had plans for this to happen when coming up with the idea of summoning the imps.

He requires one to spy on Sannoth; she hasn't earned all his trust in her. Even with the two of them having that moment together, it was just a test in its way.

Xalroz still enjoyed it, but he needed to see how well the demon was and how true she was in her nature of feelings.

So far, there was honesty through the action and words mostly. Yet so far, it felt there to be a secret she is keeping from him, and Xalroz will find out what it is to be.

"So could you do that for me, Veez? I will need you to keep a close eye on her and to report back anything that is important for me to know," Xalroz said.

The female Imp looked at him, confused about what he was asking her to do."Anything bad or suspicious for the master needs to be known."

He said more slowly for the little imp to understand, and it works as Veez shows to get it now.

"Now that has been settled, I need you two to disappear right this moment as there Is someone about to come for me, but keep close as well," Xalroz said, getting the sensing feeling of someone soon to be at his location.

The two imps obey him, flying off the shoulders and going away to hide among the tree branches out of sight.

"Lord Xalroz, I have returned and am ready to report on what went down in the fort," Sannoth says, arriving to stare at his back.

"Good then, I began telling all that has gone on there, I like to know everything." Xalroz order.

Sannoth does give all the details needed for Xalroz to know."So the female troll was carrying a child in her stomach, and the father was one of those Northerner's men."

"Yes, that discovery was a surprising one as I didn't think such a thing was possible between a troll and a mortal human." Sannoth tone gave out that she had not experienced knowing such a creature like this before."Yet that female troll has met her end since she doesn't want to live with such a Barden inside that body."

"Hybrids between two different species are possible, but the rate of the two creating a child depends on different races. Half trolls are a rarity to see, much less find that her death does not matter to me." Xalroz said, turning around to face her.

"If such one was around, what would it look like?" Sannoth is now interested in the subject matter.

"The child would mostly inherit the troll genes, looking more similar to that parent, but they won't gain height as the same be shorter compared to the rest," Xalroz tells her to walk up and pass her stopping at a step further.

There was something Xalroz felt needed to be talked about given the behavior the demon was having when looking all over his body.

"What is the matter, Sannoth? If there you have to say, then speak your mind instead of keeping quiet.

"I notice now that you seem quite hurt as if you have been attacked. Did one of those trolls lay their hands? If so, I would gladly have their village destroyed for you to leave none to breathe life." Sannoth offered, hoping to get approval from him.

"It has already been taken care of that I'm sure another won't dare to define me again like that after witnessing it with their own eyes." Xalroz denied it.

Even what went on between him and Zenma is not enough to have a village in suffering. The trolls have used it for Xalroz's plans; it would be a waste of their lives to die over a little conflict with the daughter.

" I must return to the village. I and that chief will have to talk since he is back."

[Troll village]

"So as I have returned, I was informed about the eventful accident that took place in my village between you and my daughter." The village chief of the trolls

The two were inside the chief home, just the two of them alone with no other being that it was requested by this red troll.

Xalroz allowed it, yet Sannoth wanted to stay by the Lord said, but he thought it to be fair since the red troll was planning to be alone So they can have their discussion.

"I hope you aren't upset with me for what I did to your daughter. I had no intention for us to fight, but the girl wouldn't leave it alone, and because of that, it resulted in how it ended." Xalroz explained.

"And if not for my son's action to get involved before things got out of control to where it was clear you were going to kill my daughter." The troll's voice was starting to go higher, clear that anger was being filled into it.

"I would have, but your son was very convincing to have me not go through with it." He said with that smug smile on his face for him to stare at.

"Only because you had the boy beg for her life like a dog for you to look down on." The red troll let out the anger that anyone outside could have heard.

Sannoth standing outside was concerned but kept in place as there wasn't a need for her to burst inside, feeling no danger to her lord's life.

Xalroz doesn't get bothered by the chief raising his voice toward him. He keeps calm and goes on speaking.

"You can get angry all you like, but it is not going to do anything when matters have already passed. Besides that, I'm not at any fault to receive such treatment like this." He tells the troll.

"You are right, I can't put everything on the elf. My daughter is also to blame, and we will talk about that later after this talk." The troll said, having now calmed down.

"Of course yet hanging on to this subject of talk, we have the fort, but there is no reason to give details on what went on when my servant took on that role," Xalroz says not to go over a matter known already.

"Yes, thanks to you telling me about the fort still at the end we have lost one of our own. It was too late for her to be saved from what humans have done to the body and soul."

Xalroz saw the expression of sorrow on the red troll's face. Taking hard on having to take one of his own lives brings their suffering to an end.

"It is quite hard to understand what happened there and one's feelings. I believe there isn't an end to this. Isn't that correct where the northerners need to pay? Am I right, chief of the trolls?"
