One must go down
With the kick to the face from Cyrus to Shaw, Shaw's mask cracked open half way but managed to hang onto his face. The kick indeed packed a decent amount of power in it simply because it was kind of a last ditch effort from Cyrus himself. He believed that singular move would lay Shaw flat on the ground like he had always seen happen when Klaus did it to others. But what he failed to put into account was that he and Klaus were two opposite people.
"What? He is still standing?! How is that even possible?! Or didn't I nail it properly?!" Cyrus began to doubt himself. It was of course something that was going to happen eventually. His confidence was based solely now on the knowledge that whatever Shaw would do to him regarding his abilities wouldn't work. Normally he would be the first to back out of a fight, but for some reason, he wasn't willing to just throw in the towel just yet.
