My eyes pop open, a dangerous deep growl emitted behind me, yet I couldn't turn around. Infront of me, was a woman, whom seem to be in her twenties, yet she had grey hair. Besides that, she held a blood knife, and as I watched my unable-to-move figure had looked down, when my eyes adjusted, there laid a small pool of my blood. As my figure collapsed, the woman hovered over me, all I could do was watch. "It'll be over, for all of you." She said, once my eyes closed. I snapped out of the dream in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, something tells me I wouldn't forget that one just as people normally do.

I felt hands against my forearms, someone called my name. I grouchily frowned and slowly opened my eyes, there laid a curled haired, smiling, boy.
"What, Syril.." I mutter. He's my best friend, and, supposedly roommate. Syril had let go of me, "Don't fall back asleep on me now, but it's the first day of school." I sigh, I heard him let out a audible sigh as well "I know it'll be rough without a Dejo but at least we'll have our friends there. And me." I blush and glare at him, he had this smug fuck grin on. I push him away and put on a sweater and some shorts, while Syril sat and waited, already dressed. I slung on my book bag and we head out the door.
It surprisingly wasn't a long walk but poor Syril was already tired, because, it was up a HILL. I don't blame him, my asthma was acting up half-way up the hill. Once we got there, we were early along with other people. Syril had found Genji, along with our other friends,Newt, and Archy. Once we all met up we went over to a booth where a young man found our names and gave us a sheet to our class schedules. Surprisingly, we were all in the same classes until the 7th bell, where we had to choose a sport or subject to do. Like art, music, meditation, and Hide and seek that's supposedly seem "extreme" Once the first bell rung, we all went downstairs and went to our first bell. Once we all sat down near each other our teacher, who's name was Ms. Little cheerily walked in, while a Dejo White-Tail Deer trotted in and started sniffing us all.
Ms. Little was a short woman, obviously. But a Dejo Deer had perfectly fit Little with her skinny legs and jumpy, hype attitude. The teacher had wore a loose dress that was green and fell to her calves and the Deer, that's name was Bambi had tried nibbling on it throughout attendance. After Bambi had apparently comprehend that Ms. Little didn't want her to eat the dress. Bambi came over to me and started sniffing my face, she snorted and stared at me, making me feel awkward. Even she knew something is wrong with me, and I was gonna be honest. There was. I was alone, I was a Adlos. That means a person without a spirit animal, and she knew it. Bambi then went over to Syril and started sniffing his hair, she tried nibbling on it but he pushed her away slowly. Ms. Little finally piped up "Ok class! This is history, so that means we'll be reading books and such and so. Today we will be learning about how the Dejos and Humans came to be. But first, how about you all tell me about your Dejos?" My friends and me exchange glances and we didn't raise our hands besides a few people, a girl with brown hair that was chosen to speak. She smiled "My Dejo is a chameleon!" And with that, a small chameleon had sprouted from her hair, it seemed it tried to fall asleep. I smile, cute.
