Heartless Boss

Heemani arrived at the location to deliver the chicken. She parked the motorcycle and alight, she was standing in front of the skyscraper building, she called the person that order the spicy chicken.

"Hello, am outside the building, please come take the order, you know I can't enter since am not a staff neither did I have an appointment," she said to the other person on the phone.

Alfred was already waiting for the delivery boy on the first floor, as he received the call, he picks instantly "Wait am already coming now" he hung up and went outside of the building.

Alfred wasn't expecting a lady to deliver the chicken, he approach the lady "I ordered the chicken" he said.

Heemani hand over the order to him "Here it is sir" she said politely. Alfred remembers his boss's order to bring the person that delivers the chicken along with him to the meeting.

"Liam needs to see a therapist," he thought.

Heemani was about to start the motorcycle since the order has been completed.

"Young lady I need your help," Alfred requested politely.

Heemani despises the rich because of the incident that happened to her, she doesn't like getting involved with them no matter what "I don't think my service is needed here anymore, have delivered what I am supposed to deliver, what else did you need me for? " she asked a little bit annoyed.

Alfred knew it will be stupid to say that his boss wants her to give his workers tips on how to talk with sense while eating spicy chicken "Please I can't carry it all, help me with it, I beg of you" lied.

Since the man was polite she has no reason not to help him,

"Alright," she said shortly, and they both enter the building. Heemani's eyes were wandering around like an Owl, the workers look well dressed and organized, the workers stand up from their sits they all bowed their heads with respect for Alfred. He nods in approval of their greetings"Continue your work" he said.

The workers continue their work as he ordered, they looked at Heemani with strange eyes "Why is a mere delivery lady going to the top floor" that was the thought that run through their minds, none of them dare to gossip, no one has a million-dollar to pay for breaching a contract.

"He must be holding an important position," Heemani thought.

Alfred took Heemani with him to the elevator going to the meeting floor. They got to the floor and enter the meeting room.

Heemani saw well-organized gentlemen looking like scared cats, "That was none of her business" She thought. "Where should I place it? " she asked Alfred.

Alferd place the two boxes in his hand on the table and collect the box from Heemani, he also placed that on the table.

Liam who was sitting majestically on his seat, stand up, he used his eyes to scan the spicy fried chicken on the long conference table, "Alfred hope it's exactly what I wanted?" he asked. Alfred nodded in response.

Heemani noticed the presence of Liam, no doubt she knew he was the boss, she looked at him from head to his toe "He is someone all ladies will die for" she thought genuinely even though she isn't interested in him, she doesn't want to have anything to do with the wealthy one.

The workers in the meeting didn't have time to be checking who was in the conference room with them, they focus on thinking about the perfect answer their boss would want for their upcoming project.

Heemani faces Alfred and bowed respectfully "I will take my leave now," she said. Liam looks at his assistant with a confused look.

"Young lady, my boss here will like you to wait here and give some tips on how to talk with sense while eating spicy chicken," he said even though he was ashamed.

Heemani laughed out so loud"This is the dumbest thing have ever heard in my life, no offense but that's so dumb," she said with no fear in her eyes

Alfred froze, in disbelief " How is this lady so brave" he thought.

Liam couldn't process what he heard from the lady that he could crush without moving a finger, the worker's jaw dropped in disbelief.

Liam is not a guy who is attracted to ladies for dating other than hooking up with them no strings attached. Liam walks towards Heemani, he has a cold aura coming from the realm of hell,

Heemani was shaken up a little bit but that doesn't stop her from saying what she thinks is right.

"Did you even know who you are talking to? idiot!" Liam asked looking down at her.

" I will destroy your whole life without moving an inch," he said coldly not wanting a nobody lady to talk to him anyhow.

"I don't know you and I don't want to know you talk less of wanting to have anything to do with you, just because I came here to deliver that doesn't give you the right to look down on me and call me an idiot, not everyone you see you must look down on because you don't even know what they are passing through, we don't want to be like this, we don't want to to be a slave to our mate but we can't fight destiny," she said in one breath with teary eyes.

Her speech touched all the workers there, Alfred was touched and wonder what the young lady might be going through that made her cry.

"Am sorry young lady, I will escort you out " he said, and Heemani followed Alfred.

Liam was shut of words, what the young lady said hit his soft spot for some kind of a reason "That's all for the day, come up with a good idea before next week, enjoy the chicken" he said softly and left the meeting which is so unusual of him.

They all look surprised but no one can dare to ask him what's wrong with him. They went to their different offices with the chicken as a souvenir. None of the workers dared to speak to anyone about what happened in the conference room.

Alfred was a gentleman, he escort Heemani back to where her motorcycle was "Thanks so much you are nothing like your heartless boss, I doubt he has blood running in his veins" Heemani said.

"Welcome and am very sorry for what happened today, I apologize it was my fault" Alfred accepts the fault.

" Not at all, you are such a gentleman," she said and was about to start the motorcycle

"Am sorry if I may ask what your name?" Alfred asked.

"My name is Sarah" she lied and didn't wait for his response, she started the motorcycle and left like flash.

"Poor girl" he murmured and went back to the office.

Liam was in his office lost in his thoughts, Alfred interrupted him "Boss, you have a meeting with Old Master Smith in the family mansion" Alfred said. " Why does this troublesome old man wants to see me ?" Liam asked in frustration. "Let go before he loses his mind," he said.

Alfred and his boss left the company to meet Old Master Smith in the family mansion.

Heemani arrives at the restaurant looking down, her best friend whose name was Sarah approaches her "You good baby?"

"Yeah I am, I just borrow your name not quite long," she said and went straight to the bathroom to clear her mind leaving her friend confused.

Ezra was at one of the private suites in the hotel cleaning, he saw a hard drive in the room and the person that lodge already checked out, he was a loyal worker, he knew it might contain some confidential files, and the person that lodge was a VIP customer, the person also happens to forget his business card, he read out the name on the card "Douglas Frederick, I might get to him through his card" he thought and kept the card and the hard drive he found and continue his work.
