Isabella's POV

The alpha's residence was the only place I could think of running to because I no longer felt safe in the mansion and I needed answers. When all became quiet and I could no longer sense Drey's presence, I slowly opened my door, peeked into the corridor and then stepped out in a hurry.

I didn't even bother shutting the door behind me because I was rushing to get away. I ran down the flight of stairs and headed straight for the exit but a bloodstain on the wall caught my attention.

All that spilling of blood earlier didn't get into the house, so how was this here and whose blood was it? I trailed my finger over the stain and sudden images flashed before my eyes like visions. I saw Drey hit his head on the wall, causing it to bleed.
