Chapter 24

Andreas's POV

I was still staring at the drawing I had made of Isabella when I suddenly perceived her scent. It was faint, but I was positive that it was her. I looked out the open window and focused my senses. My ears soon picked up the sounds of running feet and the pounding of a heartbeat.

With every passing second, the sounds grew louder so I stood up and rushed downstairs. I perceived her scent again and this time, it was stronger. Isabella had been gone for a while now, but why was her scent lingering in the air?

Just when I was about to dismiss all I was perceiving, I heard the sounds of running feet approaching the entrance door. In a hurry, I pulled the door open and was surprised to see Isabella running towards me. I could tell that she was going to jump on me, so I spread my arms and caught her when she did jump.
