Daddy is coming back

When I got home I just greeted mom - told her the day went great and went straight to my room, trust me I didn't come out that night. Normally I'm good at seeing things and just overlooking them but believe me when I say this is the hardest kind of thing I'd be forced to overlook. My so called holy sister was into bastard drug trafficking.

I couldn't get my head straight that night.

Yinka came the next day to help me pack my baggages and we headed out to get a few jewelries I might need in school. When we were out I told her everything I knew about Rose. She didn't seem bothered infact she told me to just mind my business that in the world of today alot of things like this happen as a result of teenagers and youth using this means as an escape route for depression.

I agreed.

Yinka is always learned about these things.

I saw Mike on our way back home too. We talked for a few minutes before Yinka came to tell me that she had to go home as her brother had arrived from his outing and she needs to get something from him.

so I had to wave Mike goodbye and gave him a goodbye peck before seeing Yinka off to the side she'd board a cab.

"I thought you'd have broken up with him" Yinka said.

"ohh that... I don't how to do it baby" I stomped my feet as I talked groaning.

"don't worry it'd come to you" Yinka said.

"How's Josh?" she said

"Who's that?"

" the dude from church now, I thought you said you'd be going to school together"

"Ohh.. he's supposed to even ca.." my phone rings.

"You're not a bastard guy we were just talking about you" I said to Joshua over the phone.

by now Yinka was already in front of where she'd take a cab, she hoped in and said bye signalling she'd call.

I waved her off.

"Who is we" he said

"Yinka, my friend from the other day in church"

"Ohh send my greetings " he said

"sure"

"would you be chanced tomorrow dear. Tomorrow is my birthday and like for now most of my friends are from school I don't really have anyone here and I'd love to spend the day out with a friend"

"Awwn... so we're friends.! Daddy's coming home tonight o but I'd ask if I'd be available I'd text you "

"Drama queen I'd be expecting your text, take care" he said

"yeah bye"

He hung up.

I went to take a cab home too... When I was done in my room, I went to meet mummy in the kitchen to help her with the cooking and we had a gist on the good part of my outing with Rose.

I was in my room when dad came back home. Immediately we heard his horn everyone rushed downstairs waiting earnestly for the king's arrival and praying inwardly he was in a good mood. the house maids went to get his things as the gatekeeper closed the gates. His scent was always overpowering everyone else's. he seemed happy seeing us all again.

Claire please don't get this happy man annoyed-tonight devotion's by 9pm remember!!! I said to myself

He came to my side and hugged me "my daughter hope you're ready for school?"

"almost sir" I said

"daddy! Claire, daddy !!you'd soon be far from home now please try to maintain the relationship we've been trying to have" he said laughing

I joined in the laughter. it was well known we were always fighting on something.

"About that, daddy a friend and I would be hanging out tomorrow, we'd be going to school together too on Sunday daddy"

I said knowing well it was better to shoot my shoot now he was still in a good mood

" the time you're supposed to be spending with me. no problems atleast you'd go round town before you leave for school"

"thank you daddy" I said as I hugged him this time more passionately.

Don't get me wrong I love my dad it's just that he's always too demanding and that stresses me out and I hate stress. so the thing is I love my daddy but don't like it when he stresses me out.

Daddy gave all of us some gifts and I went back to my room to text Joshua that I was going to be available. Tomorrow should be fun filled.
