Chapter 31 He’s Actually Smiling

"Oh no." Beckham shook his head and put a smile on his face. "The nurse made a mistake in the data and didn't know how to change it, so she asked me for help."

"Is that so?" Nicole frowned. She felt that something was amiss but she couldn't put her finger on it.

"Of course. As a doctor, I'm obligated to tell you if there is really something wrong with your blood test."

It sounded reasonable so Nicole didn't say anything and finally calmed down.

As long as there was no problem with her blood test.

"It's almost time. Let's go, Mr. Hayden. We will do a CT scan to check your heart." Beckham subtly changed the subject.

Nicole nodded and followed him to the CT scan room.

As they were walking there, Beckham suddenly turned around and asked, "By the way, Mrs. Hayden, you said that your mother favoured your brother over you?"

Nicole nodded. "Yeah, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just asking." Beckham continued walking, he was deep in thought. "I'm just curious why is that so?"
