7 Chapter 7 - Tang Wan

It had already turned dark outside, as Li Tian stood by the river and smoked a whole pack of cigarettes.

He hadn't had anything to eat for the entire day. At lunch he was irritated by Lin Yi, whereas during dinner time he had completely lost his cool in front of her.

Although he had never experienced staying in a villa before, he was beginning to enjoy it. However, since things couldn't be forced, he wanted to keep the last piece of his own dignity. 

Lin Yi was proud, but he wasn't going to be defeated.

Although after years of training, Li Tian didn't care much about his image, he still had massive ego.

Unless... Unless Lin Yi were to appear right now to beg him to come back, if not, it definitely wasn't in his plan to enter that villa again. 

As Li Tian was preparing to go buy another pack of cigarettes, he suddenly noticed a red sportscar parked beside the bridge. 

Li Tian could care less about this kind of sportscar worth around $3,000,000, but what caught his attention was the woman standing beside the car. 

She was wearing a red leather coat, which accentuated her figure as she exuded elegance. 

Li Tian could easily tell that she was girl of high-class. 

She was dressed in all red and drove an eye-catching sportscar. If she wasn't in a neighbourhood of rich people who stayed in villas, she would've attracted the whole village. 

She took out a cigarette from her pocket and lighted it. 

She puffed with her red lips, and smoke came out of her mouth.

It was at this time that Li Tian noticed the woman's face. She looked very fair and delicate, with a high nose bridge and rounded eyes. She was indeed very alluring. 

However, from her expression and wrinkled brows, it was obvious that she wasn't in a good mood. 

"Pretty lady, may I have a cigarette?"

Li Tian walked over and said, while smiling. 

Li Tian was a bit giddy, as this beautiful woman had attracted him.

When he was living abroad, he often met many women at the bar. The trick he used to get them was called 'hunting', and today... Li Tian felt the urge to hunt for the first time since he came home. 

That woman seemed to have not heard Li Tian, as she was staring straight ahead without giving him any response. 

However, Li Tian wasn't a guy who easily gave up. It was evident that the woman was in a bad mood, and based on his years of experience, it was times like these that were the easiest for men to win a woman's heart. 

He walked over to her side and suddenly realised how tall the woman was. She was wearing high heels, and was almost his height, about 180cm. Anyways, she was at least 175cm or taller. 

"Pretty lady, what are you looking at?"

That woman still didn't respond to him.

"Pretty lady, your heels are very beautiful, where did you get them?"

"Haha..."

She finally responded by giggling. 

"Ah, you look even prettier when you laugh."

Li Tian didn't feel embarrassed at all, as he leaned on the railing, standing face-to-face with her. 

"I have to say, your skills are quite lacking."

Her voice was very attractive, and Li Tian could tell that she had a charming voice. 

"Skills aren't important, what's more important is that I succeeded. I'm Li Tian, what's your name?"

"Tang Wan."

She didn't hesitate, and immediately told him her name. 

"Tang Wan? That's a pretty name, it suits you."

Li Tian complimented her. Her name really was beautiful, and was comparable to Lin Yi's. 

He often came across names like Wang Cui Hua and Wang Da Feng while being overseas. He felt that names like Lin Yi and Tang Wang were much more unique, which suited the two beautiful women. 

Looking at Li Tian's expression, Tang Wan raised her eyebrows and asked, "You don't know my name?"

"I do, didn't you say it was Tang Wan?"

"What about before I told you? You didn't know?"

Tang Wan was surprised. It was rare to have anyone not recognise her name in the area. Even in the entire Jiangdu area, usually right after she introduced herself, people would usually say, "Oh, you're Miss Tang Wan, it's an honour to meet you."

Tang Wan thought that this man had recognised her, which was why he came over to talk to her. However, looking at the look he had on his face, it was as if he really didn't know her before this. 

"Umm, do I need to know?"

Li Tian was puzzled. Was this woman famous? He had just returned three days ago so he didn't really know many people. 

"If you live in this area, then you should."

Tang Wan replied, with a hint of pride in her tone. 

"Umm... I do live here, but I really don't know your name."

Li Tian felt embarrassed, as saying this would make her look bad. However, Tang Wan's tone was too cocky for his liking. Did she really need everyone to know her?

"Then why did you come over and greet me?"

Tang Wan wasn't angry, but she was just curious. She finally came to a conclusion that Li Tian really didn't know who she was.

"I wanted to borrow a cigarrete from you."

Li Tian said, while pointing at Tang Wan's hand. 

"My cigarettes are designed for women, will you be okay with them?" 

"When I don't have cigarettes, I could smoke from rolled up tree leaves, what do you think?"

As soon as Li Tian finished his words, Tang Wang tossed him the pack of cigarettes. 

With swift motion, he lighted up a cigarette for himself.

It was very light, and mint-flavoured .

For people like Li Tian who were hard smokers, this was not an easy task. 

Looking at Li Tian's expression, Tang Wan asked while giggling: "What's wrong? Not used to it?"

"A little. But what I need now is a cigarette, so I'll have to get used to it."

Tang Wan laughed as she heard him say that. She then turned around to open her car door. She reached inside and took out a normal pack of cigarettes, and tossed it to Li Tian. 

"Use this."

"What? You're even prepared with this kind of cigarette?"

"It's my husband's."

"Oh..."

Li Tian didn't expect her to be married. No wonder she looked so mature. 

"Why? Your expression tells me that you're surprised? Or perhaps...disappointed?"

Tang Wan understood men like the back of her hand, she could guess what he was feeling just by looking at his expression. 

"Disappointed? Why should I be disappointed?"

Li Tian asked her back. 

"Disappointed because I'm married, and not that sort of girl that you could easily coax and sleep with, right?"

"I didn't have those kind of thoughts, I just wanted to ask for a cigarette from you."

Obviously, Li Tian wouldn't admit it. If he did, he would just be ridiculed. 

"Really? You can have the cigarettes then, I'm leaving."

Tang Wan said, before opening her car door and began to enter. Li Tian thought, Is she really leaving? 

Li Tian immediately went to the front of the car and held the door. 

"Okay, okay, I'll admit it. I'm interested in you, will you give me a chance?"

Girl, you've already said it yourself, so what if I admit it. It doesn't really matter because we don't know each other. As long as we don't tell anyone...
