Chapter 224

Li Zi Yun was starting to get bored at home. Wang Yu had said that she could return to work whenever she wants, so Li Zi Yun had been thinking about it for some time. Li Zi Yun had the Li family business in her hands now and as a wedding gift, her mother in law had given her the management rights for the shopping mall. She also had her previous position as Wang Yu's secretary. Li Zi Yun was still not sure where she wanted to work.

Li Zi Yun was always tired in recent times. She felt nauseous and vomited often. This was just like the symptoms Li Zi Yun had when she was suffering from ulcer. Often times fatigue took over her and all Li Zi Yun wanted to do was sleep. If Li Zi Yun said this to Wang Yu, she was sure that Wang family would make her stay at the family residence. So Li Zi Yun thought of getting herself checked up before saying anything to Wang Yu.

One day Wang Yu came home early. When he entered the house, the house looked empty and Li Zi Yun did not come out to greet him as she does usually. Wang Yu searched all the rooms and found Li Zi Yun in the bed.

Seeing Li Zi Yun sleeping, Wang Yu started kissing her from cheeks to her neck. But Li Zi Yun did not wake up.

Wang Yu called out silently, "Baby…"

Seeing that Li Zi Yun has not woken up, Wang Yu touched Li Zi Yun's forehead and neck to check if she was having fever. Her body temperature was normal. Wang Yu shook her lightly, trying to wake her up. Li Zi Yun lazily opened her eyes, wondering if it was morning or evening.

Li Zi Yun smiled weakly, "Your home…"

Wang Yu had a worried look on his face, "Are you feeling unwell? Should I call the doctor?"

Li Zi Yun spoke quietly, "No No… I was feeling tired… I wanted to lie down for some time"

Wang Yu was ready to lift Li Zi Yun in his arms, "Come let's go to hospital…"

But Li Zi Yun did not move an inch in the bed.

Wang Yu continued, "You gave me a scare last time when you had ulcer. I'm not taking any risk now"

Li Zi Yun pulled Wang Yu's hand, signaling him to sit next to her, "It doesn't hurt anywhere. I just want to rest"

Wang Yu looked at Li Zi Yun for a whole minute before he sighed, "Fine… Rest for some time"

Wang Yu kissed Li Zi Yun's forehead and laid down beside her, and pulled her to his lap.

Li Zi Yun said, "I don't want to cook dinner. Can you order take out for us?"

Wang Yu nodded his head. He would not be able to sleep peacefully until he was sure that his wife did not have health issues.

Wang Yu was still having a serious and worried look on his face as he said, "You will tell me if it hurts anywhere right?"

Li Zi Yun nodded her head and she hugged Wang Yu tightly.

Wang Yu asked Li Zi Yun once again, "Are you sure you're okay?"

Li Zi Yun could not help but smile as her lips met Wang Yu's for a passionate kiss. Wang Yu helped Li Zi Yun to lie on the bed comfortably and he laid down beside her and cuddled her.

The next day it took a lot of convincing to send Wang Yu to office. He did not want to leave her alone but Li Zi Yun sent him away. She could go to hospital only if Wang Yu was not at home.

When Li Zi Yun was taking a bath, she remembered suddenly that she had not had her periods for some time now. She counted the days and her period was late. Was she pregnant? Li Zi Yun thought about the past few days, she had been feeling nauseous and tired. Was it because she was pregnant? Was she really pregnant? Li Zi Yun rubbed her belly gently.

Should she tell Wang Yu about this? Li Zi Yun shook her head. No… She planned to check for sure and then tell Wang Yu. Li Zi Yun did not want him to feel disappointed later after expecting happy news.

Li Zi Yun prepared lunch for Wang Yu and took it to the company. On the way to the company, she was having second thoughts about whether to tell Wang Yu and take him along with her for check up. But she changed her mind once again when she reached the company.

Li Zi Yun was feeling extremely nervous as she entered the hospital. She would be lying if she said that she did not miss her husband now. She should have brought him with her. Li Zi Yun did not make a grand entrance that would make everyone easily recognize her as the wife of Wang Yu. The doctor in the obstetrics and gynecology department had no idea who Li Zi Yun was which made it easier for her. When Li Zi Yun was in the hospital last time, all the doctors were nervous around her and she felt oddly uncomfortable.

Li Zi Yun's heart was beating fast as she laid down on the examination table. The doctor applied a gel on her abdomen and pelvic area, placed the transducer over her belly, and moved it slowly.

"Congratulations Mrs. Li Zi Yun your pregnant"

Li Zi Yun could see a small spot, the fetus where the doctor pointed out. It was her baby; she was going to be a mother. Li Zi Yun could not control her joy, she would have screamed in joy if she was alone.

One of the doctors who had seen Li Zi Yun had recognized her and immediately informed the hospital director, who came almost running to see Li Zi Yun.

The hospital director wished Li Zi Yun wholeheartedly, "Congratulations Mrs. Wang"

Wang Yu thanked him and said, "Thank you. I want to tell him directly. So make sure that he doesn't know I came to visit"

The hospital director nodded his head. How could he disobey a direct order from President Wang's wife?
