Who Is This Woman?
Everyone stares at Ai Mi dumbfounded.
Her beautiful big brown eyes made his body feel abnormal for a minute. Before she spoke again.
"Independent. I like the sound of that"
Haoran squints his eyes lightly, still staring at her with his ears alerted to pick any sound.
"But that isn't enough. That isn't what we want. That answer is a bit... Ridiculous" Haoran felt his fist form lightly. His anger raising to the peak in a bolt.
"I won't mention any of that" Haoran furrows his eyebrows in confusion. But she just mentioned that his answer isn't enough, isn't what they want and is ridiculous. What does she mean by not mentioning any of that?
"I won't say what other managers say" Cheng felt his heart form back after melting like heated wax. Is she playing with them?
Ai Mi raises the cigarette to her lips and after half a second, she removed it from her mouth and blew out a beautiful ring of smoke. "When do you want to start?"
Cheng heart flew past the boundary of his heart and the outside world as he bent down in appreciation on his seat twice.
The leaders smiles widely at the both of them and Zhi Ruo bright smile motivated Cheng so much, that he wanted to hug her tightly to express how grateful he is! But he remained on his seat as he smiled back at her.
Zhi Ruo looked down at her fingers and smiled shyly. Gosh, this is too embarrassing.
Haoran, though, didn't move an inch. And nor did Ai Mi. He felt like her words meant something deeper than just an employer to an employee's introductory statement.
"Tomorrow will be okay" Haoran says in a small voice.
His perfectly molded face also made Ai Mi to stare heartlessly at him. Soon enough, she broke the eye contact and grabbed her hat, placing the cigarette in her mouth again as she stood up.
The rest also stood up, including Haoran, and the leaders including Zhi Ruo shook hands with the newly hired candidates.
Haoran lightly shook everyone with a small smile on his face, but he looked back at the door Ai Mi exited not long ago.
Why is everything about her familiar?
Ai Mi walks back to her own office which is at the most hidden part of the company. She passes so many offices and unit departments down the hallway before she gets to her office.
As she quietly opens the door, her eyes fall on the picture directly opposite where she's standing. Its frame is sitting on the wooden desk below her family picture that's hung on the wall.
The picture on the desk displays the bright smiles of both she and a little boy, holding hands and smiling at the camera. They were another girl and a boy behind them and they were all smiling happily.
As she entered the office and closed the door behind her, there was a small smile on her face.

As Haoran shakes the hand of Zhi Ruo lightly, he noticed the shaky hand she used to shake him and the way she withdrew her hand before the second shake even ended.
He immediately guessed that something is wrong. She has been acting weird a little lately. Even he noticed.
What does she want to say is making her act like this. If it's some people with bad temper, they can quit this job because of her improper move towards them.
First, the authoritative voice. Next, a shaky hand and a fearful handshake?! Is something mentally wrong with her?
Haoran stares at Zhi Ruo as she smiled and chatted with Cheng beside him. He can't believe his eyes!
He rolls his eyes with his hand in his pocket and his suit held tightly in the other hand as he stared outside the half-opened door for a minute.
His eyes were just in time to catch a sight of Ai Mi as she walked down the hallway towards the exit of the company.
Though he thought it was the exit, but Ai Mi cornered to the left immediately she got to the exit and that was when Haoran felt the urge to follow her.
As he took a step forward, Miss Lee tapped his shoulder from behind and when he looked back, she smiled at him uttering a little "Welcome"
He smiles back at her faintly "Thank you"
When she exited the office, Haoran eyes went back to where Ai Mi cornered to, but he didn't see her again.
Crap! Where did she go?
He lowers his eyebrows in thought and raises his head a bit higher.
Who is this woman?
Zhi Ruo noticed him staring out of the door. Her hand went to her chest as she squeezed her shirt feeling the tightening of her chest again.
She doesn't get why she feels this way anytime she's around him. Now he brought his friend and she's feeling weird whenever she's with both of them.
The three of them watches as Mr Bacheng exits the office, giving Cheng and Haoran a cocky smile.
"Gentlemen, you can start tomorrow. All workers are here before 8am"
"Okay. Thank you"
Cheng turns excitedly to Haoran but saw him staring out of the door. He probably didn't even hear what Zhi Ruo just said.
"Haoran?" He calls but he didn't get a reply. Haoran, however, turns to Cheng with a very hard face as he spoke.
"Go wait for me outside, I'll be there soon"
Like a burden has just been placed on Cheng, he moved slowly as he exited the office.
He couldn't bear seeing Haoran look at the face of Zhi Ruo with such a hard look on his face.
"I wanted to thank you, for all of this" His face miraculously calmed down as he turned to Zhi Ruo.
Zhi Ruo's racing heart calmed down immediately as she let a cute smile out.
"It's the least I can do"
"And I also want to know what that reaction was about" Zhi Ruo felt her legs go wobble. "What reaction?"
Haoran analyzed her face very well and saw the fear that he saw when she was shaking his hand. Something is definitely wrong.
"Nothing. It isn't anything special anyway" Cause what I wanted, is what I've gotten.
Zhi Ruo let out a breath of relief.
"I'll see you tomorrow" he waves to her and exited the office with a fake, wide smile on his face. As he got out of the office and walked downstairs, Ai Mi, who stood behind him as he walked out, stared at him as he walked downstairs.
"So, I'm not the only one, huh?" She seemed relieved.
She entered the office when she made sure that Haoran had already exited the company. And she entered just in time to hear Zhi Ruo say on the phone
"Yes, he's been hired Sir"
