My Beautiful Princess

In the vast icy lands of the continent of Arcadia.

In the main fortress town in the north, a black castle on top of a mountain covered with snow and ice emanated a feeling of ancient and powerful.

This black castle is home to the Orpheus family, a symbol of invincibility for a thousand years throughout the continent. But today, this ancient and powerful castle was in total chaos, the future Duke was lying in bed unconscious for three days with a high fever.

"Doctor! The little duke better wake up, otherwise his dead body will be lying at the city gate for all to see." An old man with a strong constitution wearing black butler clothes, spoke coldly and cruelly to the brown-haired doctor who kept shaking with fear, feeling the terrifying aura emanating from the butler.

"Fabian... water." When the doctor was about to say something, everyone in the hall in front of the duke's room heard an immature, husky voice behind the beautifully carved wooden door in black detail.

Hearing the immature voice, the butler showed an extremely relieved look and in less than seconds, he entered the room elegantly, holding a glass jar containing water.

Entering the luxurious room, to the attention of the butler was soon captured by the teenager lying on the bed of black sheets with gold embroidery.

The teenager had black hair like darkness and pale skin like snow. The hair and pale skin highlighted the red reptilian eyes that practically glowed with an extraordinary light.

"Duke, your water." The butler walked to the side of the bed and calmly poured a glass of water for the teenager who said nothing and drank all the water in a hurry.

"Fabian, how long have I been unconscious?" After drinking the glass of water, the teenager spoke looking indifferently at the butler who only showed him a calm smile.

"Three days, duke. You have been unconscious for three days." The butler answered calmly as he looked at the teenager with his thoughtful face. He realized the Duke was different, he was more mature and wise.

"The lineage began to influence the little duke. My lord, don't worry, I'll look after the little Duke until he can protect himself." The butler thought firmly as he held his own fists tight.

"Okay, prepare something for me to eat. Now you can go out, I want to be alone." The teenager spoke waving his hand indicating that the butler was to leave.

"Your orders are a decree." The butler calling Fabian spoke with a bow and respectfully left the room,

leaving the teenager lost in thought.

"Shit, my head is bursting, those memories are coming and going causing a huge headache." The teenager whispered as he got up from the bed, he walked towards the window and stood in front of the window seeing the spectacular landscape outside.

"Relius Caleb Orfeus… that's me now." Caleb spoke looking at his reflection in the window with some complicated emotions going through his beautiful and exotic red eyes.

"There are more important things than being stuck in silly thoughts, the most important thing is to gather information about this world, thankfully that the former owner of this body is an extremely important duke." Caleb thought while showing a relieved look. He was relieved not to be reborn in slime or orc.

Remembering that he was reborn, a feeling of fear went through his brain, that sinister feeling of being pulled into the darkness, he doesn't want to be that again.

"But one thing I'm sure of ... This world has something extraordinary." Caleb spoke firmly, he looked into his strange eyes reflecting in the window mirror and the medieval castle on top of a frozen mountain confirms his suspicions.

After thinking about what he was going to do, Caleb went back to bed and closed his eyes. The headache still plagued him, besides, he wants to see all the memories left by the former owner of the body.

One hour later

* Toc toc *

Caleb opened his eyes, hearing someone knock on the door. He spoke to enter and the butler entered the room along with a beautiful fourteen-year-old maid with brown hair, she was holding a silver tray and on it was a plate containing steaming soup.

"Laura, please help the duke to eat." The butler spoke out of the room in silence, making the maid nervous, holding the plate containing Caleb's soup.

"My Lord, please open your mouth." The maid named Laura spoke up sitting on a chair beside the bed while she held a spoon in front of Caleb's mouth.

Caleb looked at the maid for a while and slowly opened his mouth allowing the spoon containing hot soup to enter.

Taking the soup, Caleb first felt it was delicious and then felt that strange energy went through his whole body, giving a very warm and welcoming feeling.

The maid named Laura, seeing her master's stunning face laughed one with a cute laugh, but then closed her mouth in the silence seeing that Caleb's draconic eyes looked at her.

Laura felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment but continued to help Caleb to eat slowly. Every once in a while, she looked at Caleb's handsome and elegant face and was mesmerized for a few seconds, but soon returned to composure.

Caleb tried hard not to laugh at this bold maid. From his memories, everyone in the castle treated him with the utmost respect and adoration as if he were a living god. But this girl really looked at him that way.

Caleb liked her, this fourteen-year-old girl was not like other people in his memory who were afraid to speak to him.

"Thank you, it was delicious. Thank the chef for me." Caleb gently spoke to Laura, who carefully wiped the corners of his mouth with a white handkerchief.

"M..my lord, no need to thank. All of us from the north, are already satisfied with your presence." Maid Laura spoke, waving her hands nervously as she looked at Caleb in panic.

Caleb was silent listening to her words, he still doesn't understand the reason for so much devotion, but tomorrow he will discover everything in the castle library.

"Laura, you can go out. I'm going to rest now." Caleb spoke kindly to Laura, who bowed deeply to him and quietly left the room.

 "Today was a difficult day." Caleb thought as he turned his head to see through the window the two moons shining in the sky. Without realizing it, he closed his eyes and entered the world of dreams.

Outside the room, Laura leaned against the door while holding her red cheeks, she had a look full of excitement.

"I really spoke to the duke! He was really beautiful." Laura thought excitedly, she even jumped a little excitedly, she then walked down the dark hall full of joy while humming a very beautiful song.
