My Beast-System

Life can be complicated. Like now, I have entered my own novel, just to enter another novel in that novel. Ironic huh? A/N: Read 'Read before Reading' in the auxiliary volume, before continuing. PS: The cover is not mine and belongs to the respectful owner. Credits to the artist.

Nice people,... should live

"The frontline! The frontline you meatheads! It's breakin' so go fucking support them!!"

"Roger!"

"Get those cannons aside, we don't need them!"

"Roger!"

He could hear voices close to him. As if there was a war happening, an old voice yet weighing with responsibility was screaming. People were running around as the war cries and yelps of the dying filled the air.

His eyelids were heavy and he didn't know why he was sleeping.

So, to reassure it, he opened his eyes.

In front of him was a play being performed of… war?

"Huh!?" he was, confused let's say? Because he was certain that the last time he had closed his eyes was in his room when the blast took place.

So this situation right in front of him wasn't explaining anything.

He could describe it in only single words though,...that was 'Beautiful'. He was sitting on a bench on the side of a road. However, that wasn't what he thought was beautiful. The scenery behind it was.

The whole area was shining brightly and a huge wheel was spinning loaded with many colours of light.

He was sure he had seen this somewhere. The scene was familiar. The road was crowded and people were stopping to eat street food.

"Ah…" he remembered it then. It was… London!? But, how?

Then it happened. What he had not expected. He heard the song being said, just the way he had imagined his protagonist to sing.

"London Bridge is falling~ oh

Falling down~ Falling down~

London Bridge is falling…

My fair lady!~"

Deep voice. Something he always wanted but never had. So he always gave it to his protagonists. A hunk, which he never really was able to become. So he bestowed such a body to his protagonists.

Those blonde hair and brown eyes. Fair skin and a briefcase in hand. An overcoat was flapping behind him as the man sang.

He was attracting quite a few ladies, but also creeping them. But there was no doubt.

"How?" he stood up. Jit was flabbergasted. The moments, the views and the words he had seen and heard were all that his first chapter contained.

But how was it possible, right?

"I must be dreaming. Maybe I got knocked out from that short-circuit and now here…dreaming." he pinched, slapped and even smacked his face but nothing.

He was still there. People looking at him as if a weirdo was in front of them.

"There's only one way to confirm…" he got up. Jit wasn't sure this was what he was thinking, but what he was thinking was also what he was seeing so, surely what he was thinking was what was happening? It was as complex as the sentences, that was all in conclusion.

He trudged towards the man slowly, who was singing in his misery.

"H…hey,..." Jit spoke. His accent was a mixture of Korean and Hindi. He was speaking flute English.

"Hm?" the man looked down at the kid. A slightly fat boy with black hair and dark brown eyes. His features were kind of confusing. Was he Korean? Indian?

"How may I help you?" the man asked.

"Uh, you see, I am lost. My dad told me to wait but I kind of strayed off from the spot I was at. And now I don't know where to go."

Jit was sweating. He didn't know if he could fool a civil officer like this. Well, that was if it was what he was thinking.

"Is that so? So how can I help you?" he asked with a dry voice.

"I..need to make a call. If I call him, he can come to pick me up." Jit tried his last bit of luck.

"Mn, sure." the man gave jit his phone and looked at the giant wheel again.

Jit immediately started the smartphone. And bam!

The year 2029. It was what he had feared. He was in a novel he hadn't even written fully yet.

Now then, to analyse, why wasn't he surprised? For most of the part, he always wished to enter a fantasy world. He constantly wished that earth would someday discover what not to evolve.

Or just an apocalypse could great them is all he cared for. Typical thoughts of someone addicted to fantasy novels? Yeah.

But he never wished to enter an incomplete novel. Never.

What was about to happen now? The protagonist would die and enjoy the fantasy world but what of him? What would he do?

This world wasn't even formed yet. He had left it empty. How could he survive?

Well, he could just wait till he died here and maybe reincarnate in another world.

'But nah, what are the possibilities? It won't happen just because.' he couldn't figure out anything.

A hand tapped his shoulder.

"Are you fine? Why aren't you calling?" Jin looked at the kid.

"H..he isn't picking up." Jit gave back his phone and stood with him. His brain was working nonstop, trying to figure out whatever he could.

There was a slight chance that he would immediately go back after Jin died since that's where he had stopped writing.

However, a part of him didn't want to wait for that to happen. No, it wasn't exciting, now was it?

What's the fun if you just return to your world after receiving such an opportunity?

A crazy aura flashed around him. Jin was wondering if the kid was from some shady gang or something.

But his sadness was far too big to think of anything else.

Jit couldn't stand there and do nothing. Firstly, for his plan to look natural, he needed to talk to jin.

"I... I am jit," he spoke. His voice was hesitating and his posture reflected distrust. As a civil servant, jin felt it his duty to make him calm till his father arrived.

"Names Jin. Jin Marquis. Don't worry, I am an officer, so you are safe with me." he said with a bright smile. That was all he could bring out at the moment. He wasn't feeling so well about anything after all.

"I..is that so? I met a few officers on my way here, but they just ignored me when I talked to them." Jit lied since he knew that the scene he had created here was quite a critical one. There were no officers or medical help around currently since jin had to die. If there would be, how would he die?

But not that jin knew about it.

"Tch, those bastards. They do duty for fun I guess." he gripped the grills of the bridge tightly.

"But you are different. You seem kind and,...so mature." Jit told the truth that he was going to write about Jin.

Jin felt a bit light around his heart. The thoughts that maybe he was always getting used by people lifted.

"Haha, maybe. But it makes things easy for people to take advantage of me. Like,...jenny." the last words were a whisper but jit knew what he had said.

'I guess I am responsible for that.' he felt odd seeing the character he made, expressing his feeling to him.

"It's fine, dad says that if bad people take advantage of you, you gotta pay ten folds back!" jit clenched his fists as he told the guy. After all, his father was an airforce commander. Retired but still quite strict and full of principles and values in life.

The character Jin was slightly based on his father's principles.

"Your father must be a good person and…strict too." Jin laughed awkwardly but now was completely fine. His mood was good again. He knew what he had to do, with Jena.

The silence after the small talk was awkward. Neither knew what to say. One was thinking of how to take revenge against the girl that betrayed him while one was, well, trying t find a way of making his stay interesting.

And then, it happened. Just the way he had written it, the car was speeding on the bridge and a dog was crossing the road. People gasped.

Jin reacted out of concern and duty. But before he could, a hand grabbed his collar and pulled him. Jit, jumped in front of the car and grabbed the dog.

There was a smile on his face. The puppy, unfortunately, remained in his grip for too long.

CRASH!

The bonnet bashed jit straight in the face and he went flying many feet away and then slid onto the ground.

"Hey, kid!"Jin ran as fast as he could and grabbed jit's head to stop the blood.

He had lost too much blood the instant he landed on the ground. Jena, who was just passing the bridge with her lover saw all this and grabbed hold of the driver who was trying to slip away.

"Ni..nice people,...should live," Jit spoke with a smile and his breath stopped. Gone, he was dead.

Jin gripped his fist tightly as he looked at the kid. An unknown stranger who had saved him, for no reason. Just how could someone be this kind?
