CHAPTER 53(ANOTHER PERSONALITY SPLIT?)

Emma, Damian's first and most talented avatar, on the outside always appears calm and composed, rarely putting herself in the limelight. An air of aloofness and a slight admiration for Damian constantly surrounds her. Other than being Damian's first avatar, no one really knows anything about her. So, why don't we journey back in time and take a look into her mind to see if we can find anything?

THUD! A headless body falls to the ground.

"Damn, I told you to knock him out, not punch his head off! How are we going to get any information from him now?" a voice complained.

"I'm sorry, Master Damian. I'm still not used to the strength of my new body," another voice replied, this time female.

'Let me take over, muscle head. You lack the finesse required to handle Master's requests.'

'Sigh! I'm only surrendering to you because of my mistake. Don't take this as your win.'

FLASH!

'There's a girl here, she recently passed away. You can interrogate her if you're still interested in the information you came here for.'

'You idiot, what are you doing? You shouldn't introduce other girls to him.'

'Why should I not?'

'You should make him dependent on you. We have a beautiful face, so if you continue to impress him, he'll eventually fall for us.'

'And how does that make him stronger?'

'Haaa, don't bother. I now understand why we were single till death.'

FLASH!

As Damian got ready for the first day of the new semester, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement mixed with anxiety. This would be be first time he would attend school with Emma, who's avatar form blended perfectly with normal humans, would she be found out or not, that was up to luck even if he didn't believe in it in the first place, he also couldn't help but imagine the look on the face on his friends when they saw him with Emma, whose beauty had been enhanced after becoming his avatar.....

'Let me take over. This is our chance.'

'I won't.'

'Can't you see the look in his eyes? He's been charmed by our beauty. I can't miss this chance because of you.'

'Why do you...'

KNOCK! KNOCK!!

Someone knocked on the door.

FLASH!

An elf girl stood before Damian, her posture calm and ready for action. She wore loose-fitting pants and a sleeveless shirt that allowed for maximum mobility. Her hands and forearms were wrapped in protective bandages, she was wearing sandals that seem to have seen better days as they were almost as thin as carton, probably from all the footwork and training.

"Hello..." Damian began to speak but was interrupted by a yelp from her, it seems she failed to notice him and was about to walk forward causing her to bump into him. She looked from him to the Jenna and Emma and her face turned red as she ran a way from me while calling him a pervert.

' Look at her trying to seduce him, I bet she already has his interest. Are you going to stand there doing nothing '

'what do you propose I do?'

' Try to gain his attention or something, just do something to take his mind off that girl'

FLASH!

All eyes were on Jenna, who was now dressed in a maid's outfit, serving Damian's dinner, and even feeding him.

"...."

"..."

'What's going on here?'

'I think Master has finally tamed the unruly Jenna.'

'And you think that's a good thing?'

'Of course, unlike you, I don't have any motives, so it's a good thing for me.'

Now, onto more recent memories.

FLASH!

Suddenly, our danger senses tingled. I jumped back just in time as the fog began moving towards us. However, it was to no avail - our entire team was soon covered by the fog.

'Damn, how could you get separated from your master?' one voice asked sarcastically.

'I don't have time to reply to you. Do you want to take over, or should I do this myself?'

'Che, never mind. We'll talk later. Give me control.'

FLASH!

The room was completely devoid of light. If Diana hadn't called Damian's name, everyone would have thought they were separated again. The sound of a click reached their ears, and torches began to light up. They all looked forward and saw the same girl who had led them here, completely chained up with spikes digging into her skin. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at them.

'Oh, slowly opening her lashes to appear more mysterious. You should learn from her.'

'Remain alert. You might need to take over at any time from now.'

'Of course, I don't want another one coming in and making my work more difficult.'

I'm sure we have all noticed by now: our cute little battlemonk has two different personalities. The dominant one is the Emma we all know and love, but underneath that, there's another one with a different thought process and capabilities. One is the brain, and the other is the muscle. While one thinks of new applications of her abilities, the other uses them most effectively in battle. One is servile and loyal to Damian, the other wants to seduce and gain control of him.

And of course, Damian knows of the split personality, after all, he was the one who decided not to split them up when he turned Emma into his avatar. But that remains a secret between both of them though.
