CHAPTER 46

BOOOM!

I dodged the massive axe once again. I almost felt naked in front of those eyes that looked like they could see through my soul and uncover all my secrets. The attacker was a bipedal creature with a more muscular body than most body builders on earth. Its lower body was that of a bull, the upper body was that of a man, and it had the head of a bull. That's right—it was a minotaur.

It had been two months since we entered this dungeon. We hadn't found Jenna yet, and we couldn't find a way out either. We were left with no choice but to grit our teeth and push forward. We were currently on the seventy-ninth floor, and from what I could see, there was no way forward. The monsters on this floor were just too strong. I should have created a strength-oriented avatar when I had the chance. Now, we were at an impasse. I looked at my team members, all of whom were also struggling to defeat the monsters on this floor.

As we stood there, thinking about what to do next, the minotaur roared and charged towards us. It swung its massive axe, and we barely managed to dodge out of the way. Just when we thought we had a moment to breathe, the minotaur charged again, faster this time. We scattered, trying to avoid its attack, but the minotaur was relentless. Its axe struck the ground where one of my teammates had been standing a moment before. The earth shook beneath us.

A voice rang out from the darkness: "This way!" We looked in the direction of the voice and saw a figure beckoning to us from a narrow passageway. We hesitated for a moment, but the minotaur was closing in on us, so we didn't have much of a choice. We ran towards the figure and into the darkness, hoping we weren't making a mistake. As we ran, the figure stayed just ahead of us, leading us through the maze-like passages. Finally, we emerged into a large cavern. The figure turned to face us. It was a young girl.

The girl looked like a normal girl at first glance, but upon closer inspection, I could see that wasn't the case. Her body was slightly transparent, and her legs seemed to hover just above the ground. Her hair remained perfectly in place, not even a strand moved in the wind. As I pondered these peculiarities, the girl suddenly made a sharp turn at a corner. I was shocked - the turn was too abrupt for someone running at such high speed. There was no indication that she was about to turn - she simply shifted direction, as if moving through space rather than along a physical path.

I looked at my companions, their expressions mirroring my own confusion and wonder. The girl had stopped in front of another wall, and as we watched, she again disappeared straight through it. We followed after her, but when we reached the wall, we could find no opening. Had she simply vanished? We searched the surrounding area for any sign of her, but she was nowhere to be found. Just as we were about to give up hope, we heard her voice from the other side of the wall.

"Push the wall," the girl's voice sounded urgent. "It's a hidden room."

We were suspicious at first, but when we heard the footsteps of multiple minotaurs rapidly approaching, we gulped down our suspicions and pushed the wall as hard as we could. Even with our combined strength, the wall moved very slowly. I looked back at the minotaur who was about 800 meters away from us. They were smiling at us and walking at their normal pace, as if they knew we wouldn't escape in time.

BADUM! BADUM!! BADUM!!!

SIGH!

'How much more would you force me to use my abilities, you damn dungeon?' I thought.

[BLOOD BURST]

Lena and I exchanged looks as our heartbeats began to increase at a rapid pace. My veins began to bulge, looking like they were about to burst, as the door began moving a little faster.

'Just a little more,' I thought.

BOOOM!

An explosion occurred, and fire erupted from my feet. I was using Jenna's minor fire affinity to the fullest, which reminded me of her. I wondered if the secret to finding her was behind this door. The flames roared like an angry beast as the door began to move faster. Everyone used all the boosting abilities they had in their arsenal, creating an opening large enough to fit a human. I quickly unsummoned all my avatars and ran into the room with the others. Then, the door closed behind us.

The room was completely devoid of light. If I hadn't heard Diana's voice calling my name, I would have thought we were separated again. I heard the sound of a click, and torches began to light themselves up. I looked forward and saw the same girl who had led us here, completely chained up with spikes digging into her skin. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at us.

" Glad you made it here, almost thought you were going to die"
