Leaving for College

SALLY:

I have always prayed to finally get enrolled in college and leave my annoying house but there was nothing else I could do about it. I packed all necessary stuff needed for school and after school before I took and gave tight hugs to everyone in my house including our neighbors who suddenly grew love for me, maybe because I was finally giving them that breathing space to do as they wish while my brother and parents are off to work "Don't forget to set rules for yourself and always call when you're free" My mum muttered to me as I picked up my car key on the tv room coffee table "yes mum, I'll try my best to do so. don't forget to take care of yourself and dad" I added, turning to look at her with a grin on my face before she slightly pouted and gave me a quick cheek kiss which made me scoff; Just like my dad, my feelings are quite hard to read which makes some people call me weird or cold hearted but the truth is I don't love showing the real me " You're forgetting something, princess!" my dad yelled as he ran to me which made him look cute while clinging to my large teddy bear; it was a recovery gift after I had my braces fixed on my sixteenth birthday, I badly wanted it but the end of the surgery wasn't so great, it was a really bad day for anyone who cared for me and was very emotional. "dad. come on" I whined, feeling embarrassed "Sorry but you'll need it, princess. of not now but one day, someday" I sighed, gradually taking it from him "Thanks... So, good bye everyone" I still can't believe I'm finally leaving the house I've always prayed to escape from someday but it didn't feel good like I thought. "I'll help with the baggage" My brother dragged the bag from me before I could even utter a word "You won't miss us will you?" "No" I shot back at my older brother as we both chuckled while fixing the rest of the loads with others in my car trunk and back seat "Just say hello to Elsa for me" My eyes automatically rolled as I got into my car before stealing a glance from him "She has nothing to do with you, okay?" I calmly warned and he threw his hands in the air like I gave him an FBI order "Anyway, don't forget to get your own pack of protections-" "shut up, bollock" I cut him in and we both chuckled again "Hey I believe in you" My brother finally found the word he has been trying to say while we gazed at each other "aaw. thanks sweetie" I said with sarcasm, throwing him an air kiss which he dodged as I brought my hybrid car to life before waving him good bye "Take care of dad, mum and yourself too, dummy" I lastly said before zooming away to the start of a new life ahead, which is my new school

The parking lot seemed empty with few cars roughly parked here and there, maybe students weren't allowed to drive their cars??. Well if that was a rule I'd be the first to break it, sorry school management. I slowly parked my car, looking around my hostel multiple times before exhaling loudly, silently praying for no one to be around; luckily for me, I finally got that prayer answered so I rushed arrangement for school and after school in every corner of my house before plopping down on my soft bouncy bed, taking out my phone to call Elsa, a very good friend of mine "what's up, bummer face" She is the only one who calls me that because she understands me better after my dad "just got to your hostel, you?" I could clearly hear teens and kids in late teens yelling from the background but I still don't care "that's great, well am at school. I hope you brought enough goodies?" I swear I could read Elsa big smile from asking that question "well, I tried" I muttered, gazing at the large teddy bear which stared back at me "That's what we are eating tonight though. what about your makeup kits?" "Yes but I didn't bring the full kit along" Elsa snorted at my word "Well then we have to change rooms-" "Elsa" I shot back and she chuckled loudly "Don't mind me, am just kidding. I didn't mean it that way" I sighed "It's fine. so Kevin sent his greetings to you" I tried not to laugh as I reminded Elsa of her big fan, my brother. She just scoffed "Well I have to go now so see you when I'm home. okay?" She managed changing the topic "Sure, I can wait" With that I ended the call, laying fully on my bed before drifting off to sleep due to exhaustion
