Not long after the first guest arrived at the restaurant, the blue velvet door was shining again, indicating another guest had been chosen by fate to open the door from the other side of the world.
Akira, who was in the kitchen making a whole cake of banana cheesecake, came out to greet his second guest after washing his hands and wiping them with a clean towel.
Akira brown upward as soon as the guest appeared, as he had no idea the famous handsome sensei, who always claimed to be the strongest sorcerer in modern times, would be chosen by the blue velvet door.
Akira smiled briefly before opening his mouth to greet the guest.
"Welcome! May I have your order, sir?"
...
"Sigh... those old geezers were so loud and nagging."
I couldn't help but curse under my breath. Just minutes ago, I finally escaped that boring meeting with the geezers and the others.
Is it really necessary to hold meetings every day? Do they have nothing better to do?
Sigh...
That irritating feeling made me crave something sweet right now.
"Ah, Gojo-sensei!"
As I reached for my phone to look for something sweet to buy, I ran into the trio of first-year students.
"Oh, you three! What are you up to?"
"Kugisaki found a delicious ramen shop, so we're heading there for lunch!"
"Gojo-sensei should join us! They have a big discount on their hot item today!"
"And Fushiguro promised to treat us this time!"
"Hey, I never said that!"
"Ehhh... Come on, Fushiguro; you've never treated us before. It's fine, right, Kugisaki?"
"Right, right! Don't be so stiff, Fushiguro!"
"You two..."
I couldn't help but smile at how close those three were. Seeing them reminded me of my own high school days with my friends.
"Nope, sensei wants to buy some sweets right now. You three, go ahead and have fun!"
"Is that so? Then we'll go first, Gojo-sensei!"
The trio smiled and waved goodbye as they walked away, bickering like usual.
"Youth."
I smiled at them and sighed softly, knowing that this peaceful life was just an illusion. As long as curses exist, they'll always be hunted by an uncertain future.
At the same time, we need to figure out what to do about Sukuna, who's trapped inside Yuji Itadori—the infamous curse king from the past.
And then there are those troublemakers who seem to be making their moves to create chaos in this world. It's really bothersome.
Oh well, let's relax for now. There's nothing to worry about as long as I'm around. After all, I am the strongest.
While holding my phone and searching for sweet treats that caught my interest, I suddenly felt something was off. My surroundings froze, leaving me alone and able to move freely.
It was as if time itself had stopped.
"What the...?"
I looked around and frowned slightly; this phenomenon reminded me of when I used my domain expansion—Muryōkūsho (Unlimited Void).
"An enemy? No. There's no fluctuation of cursed energy in my detection range."
In the next second, a floating, shining blue velvet door appeared out of nowhere, not far from where I stood.
All my senses heightened as the door seemed to beckon me to come closer and open it.
"Interesting."
The corners of my mouth lifted in a smirk; this phenomenon piqued my curiosity. At the same time, my instincts warned me that opening that door might lead to something incredible—or unbearable.
With a smile, I walked closer to the door and stepped through without a moment's hesitation.
...
When Gojo walked through the door, he was greeted with a sense of leisure that seemed to dispel his tiredness all at once.
"Where this place?"
One word that comes to mind is that he has just entered a fancy aethestic cafe, which he has previously visited.
Of course, he came to visit because those cafes served some sweets that he thought were interesting to try at the time.
Do not underestimate his obsession with sweets; with a single glance, he can tell how high the quality of the sweets is, and he has never been wrong.
"Welcome! Would you like to order something?"
Gojo turns to face the man who has just greeted him; he is surprised that his six-eyes do not detect his presence, despite the fact that the man is already within his detection range.
This caused him to frown while also becoming interested in the man who appeared to be the owner of this establishment.
"I apologize for the inconvenience; may I ask where this place is?"
Gojo can not help but ask as he takes a seat at the stool bar and looks at the man, who appears to be a harmless normal human.
"As you can see, this was a restaurant, or more specifically, another world restaurant. You also can say this was a cafe, if you want. You just came here through a portal that connects this place to your world."
Hearing this stunned Gojo, but he did not show any change in expression because the concept of another world does not seem strange to him.
Curse things were already unusual in his world.
Nevertheless, he could not help but sigh in private, knowing that there was a world outside the one he was currently living in.
Given how important this information was, it could easily cause problems for his school's troublemakers or even the geezers there.
Additionally, he has no reason to doubt the man's words because he is genuinely unable to sense any variations in the curse energy present in this location.
"I never thought there would be a world other than my own."
Gojo can not help but grin a little because this adds another enjoyable element. He finds it tedious to merely keep the world peaceful while avoiding all the dangers brought on by this curse energy.
Yes, it is true that not many in your world are aware of this. Could you tell me your name, sir?
"My name is Gojo Satoru, but no need to be too formal, brother," Gojo said with a chuckle. "Most people just call me Gojo, the strongest sorcerer in the modern era."
"I see... Nice to meet you, Gojo. I'm Akira, the owner of this restaurant."
"Seriously? You look so young! It's impressive that you already have your own business. Can I place an order here?"
"You came at the perfect time! I just finished making a whole banana cheesecake when you walked in. Would you like a slice?"
"Absolutely! I'll take a piece. And can I also get an iced latte?"
"You got it!"
Akira smiled and headed into the kitchen to prepare the order for this limitless six-eyed sensei.
He chuckled softly, finding it too coincidental that he had just finished making a cake, and now a guest with a sweet tooth had walked into his restaurant.
Meanwhile, Gojo stood up, drawn outside by the captivating scenery.
"Beach, huh... It's been a while for me to visit this kind of place."
A nostalgic look crossed his face as memories of high school flooded back—those long-forgotten days spent with friends at the beach.
"Satoru~"
"Gojo!!!"
"Idiot..."
"Gojo-senpai!!!"
"Gojo-san..."
"Ah... damn... I never thought I'd cry just remembering those moments."
Unable to help himself, Gojo pulled off his black blindfold, revealing his six iconic eyes, a hallmark of the Gojo clan.
He reflected on the past, realizing that what was done could not be changed.
Now, he found himself wishing he had the power to alter those memories, believing that perhaps he could have a better life than the one he currently led.
Leaning against the railing, he gazed dreamily at the beach and sea stretching out before him.
While our confident sensei was lost in his thoughts, Akira walked over with a slice of fresh, creamy banana cheesecake and an iced latte, just like Gojo ordered.
Usually, Gojo could sense when someone was getting close, but not this time. Akira was far stronger than him, and the power gap between them was off the charts.
Noticing that his guest seemed to need some alone time, Akira quietly set the food and drink on a nearby chair before heading back into the restaurant.
He couldn't help but smile, knowing exactly what Satoru Gojo was thinking right now—longing for friendship and happiness.
In anime and comics, we see Satoru Gojo as this cool, handsome, powerful teacher who's totally confident in his abilities. But some fans forget that he was born into a world filled with cursed energy and carry regrets about his choices and memories.
It's a bummer, but it also makes him special. It's like there are two sides to the same coin.
"I wonder what kind of expression he'd have if he knew I revived his friend," Akira thought with a smirk.
Even though having his own world limits Akira's omnipotence, who says he can't be omnipotent without it?
With a grin, he headed back to the counter bar, placing the remaining banana cheesecake in the glass cabinet to make it look nice. He even tried writing a little name tag for it.
As for the price? Well, he wasn't doing this for money. What would he even spend it on? He already had everything he could possibly want!
Once he finished his tasks, he returned to his chair, closed his eyes, and settled into a more comfortable position to relax.
...
Gojo Satoru didn't have to daydream for long before he spotted a large slice of banana cheesecake and a couple of iced lattes being served at a nearby table.
He chuckled awkwardly, glancing over at Akira, who was blissfully napping with his eyes closed.
"Boss really knows how to kick back, huh?"
After a soft laugh, Gojo settled into his seat, his gaze locked onto the cake in front of him.
What kind of magic did Akira use to make this dessert look so irresistible? Just by looking at Gojo, a self-proclaimed sweet tooth, Akira must've known that every ingredient and every step in the baking process was executed to perfection.
Gulp!
Gojo snatched a fork from the side of the plate and cut off a tiny slice, popping it into his mouth.
He couldn't help but sigh with delight; the cheesecake was absolutely incredible. The way the cheese, cream, banana, caramel, and all those other flavors melted together on his tongue was nothing short of heavenly.
He had never tasted a cheesecake that was so luxuriously creamy and ethereal. Despite indulging in cheesecake countless times before, nothing compared to this masterpiece.
His eyes drifted to the iced latte on the table, and he took a sip.
Once again, he sighed in satisfaction. This iced latte was something else—so different from any he'd had before. The balance between the coffee and milk was perfect, letting him savor every last drop.
With exquisite scenery, a beach view, delicious food and drinks, a leisurely atmosphere, and the perfect backdrop of soft music, Gojo couldn't help but think that Akira was truly a genius. He made it impossible for customers like him not to want to linger in this paradise.
And that slice of cheesecake? No joke. It was like he'd been served a quarter of an entire tray!
"Is this heaven?" Gojo wondered aloud as if he'd just hit the jackpot.
He devoured the entire cheesecake on his plate and polished off his iced latte.
Laughing at his own satisfaction, he realized he could easily go for another slice—one that size just wasn't enough to fill him up! High calories and sugar be damned!
Gojo stood up from his seat, planning to order some for his students and colleagues. The price didn't even cross his mind; it felt normal when the food was this premium and delicious.
"Boss!"
Akira opened his eyes and smiled at Gojo as he enjoyed his leisure time.
"Are you done? How did it taste? Was it to your liking?"
Gojo laughed at the question.
"Are you kidding me? It exceeded all my expectations! What kind of magic did you work to make that cheesecake so creamy? The sweetness was spot on—it's making me want another slice right now!"
Akira chuckled at the praise.
"Thanks! If you want more, you can take another slice home with you."
He pointed to the remaining banana cheesecake displayed behind the glass cabinet.
Gojo's eyes lit up at the sight of another slice; he felt hunger pangs again and wanted to savor another piece.
But then he remembered he had things to do afterward.
"Sure! Pack me all of it, boss!"
"Okay~"
Akira rose from his seat, snapping his fingers to conjure a premium box that materialized out of thin air. With graceful precision, he began to package the remaining cheesecake, each movement fluid and deliberate.
Gojo watched this spectacle, a slight frown creasing his brow before he let out a soft sigh. He had expected nothing less from the owner of this café; it was clear that Akira was no ordinary human.
In fact, Gojo was certain that this man—who appeared several years younger than him—possessed strength that far surpassed his own. The gap between them was immeasurable, like comparing a flickering candle to a blazing sun.
Yet, as he considered the benefits of knowing someone like Akira, a smile began to spread across Gojo's face. This café would undoubtedly become his go-to spot whenever he craved something sweet.
"Here's your order," Akira said cheerfully, handing over the elegantly packaged box.
Gojo accepted it, reaching into his pocket for his wallet. "How much for all of this, boss?"
"It's not much—just 1,000 yen."
Gojo stared in disbelief. "What? 1,000 yen?! Are you kidding me?"
Akira chuckled softly, unfazed by Gojo's amazement. It was understandable; the price seemed absurdly low for such an exquisite treat.
"Yup, 1,000 yen total. You see," Akira explained with a nonchalant shrug, "the cost to make the cake is zero yen for me. I can gather any ingredients I want for free."
He continued with sincerity in his voice. "The reason I opened this café was to meet interesting people like you, Gojo. I want to feed them delicious food and provide a place where they can escape from their daily lives."
Gojo fell silent for a moment, grappling with how to describe the person before him. There was an unexpected warmth in Akira's intentions—a genuine desire to connect through food and hospitality. Finally, he sighed and smiled back at Akira.
"Oh well, okay, boss. Here's your money."
Akira accepted the cash and tucked it away in his inventory space with a flourish. "Thanks for your patronage~"
Then he summoned a blue velvet card that shimmered under the café's soft lighting and handed it to Gojo. "Take this; if you ever want to return here, just use this card and pour your feelings into it. The door you saw before will appear before you."
Gojo examined the card closely; it felt warm in his hand as if it pulsed with energy—a tangible connection to this enchanting place.
"You can also invite others to visit; it would make me happy to see this place filled with all kinds of interesting guests," Akira added with a hopeful smile.
Gojo nodded as he took both the card and box of cheesecake in hand. "Okay, boss, see you next time!"
As he turned to leave, Akira called out after him.
"Oh yeah, remember this gojo, it's never too late to mend your relationships with those friends of yours. And if you ever need help with something beyond your ability, you can always come to me for advice~"
Gojo paused at the door, hesitating as memories flooded back—moments of laughter shared with friends now distant and strained. He felt a pang of longing but also a flicker of hope ignited by Akira's words. Finally stepping through the door felt like crossing a threshold into new possibilities.
Akira watched him go with a bittersweet smile on his face—a fleeting moment captured in time. He thought about how precious this kind of sensei was—too precious to let fate lead him down a dark path scripted by some unseen author.
He never intended to interfere with the original timeline; every character had their arc to fulfill after all. But if his actions could lead to a better ending—or perhaps even the best ending imaginable—then Akira would always be willing to break fate for others.
