A/N: Alright people here's the first chapter of the week, hope you all enjoy, I will be trying to get us to some actual action for next week but for now we must build.
(3rd POV)
Richard overlooked his son's awakening and was pleasantly surprised to see Leon open his eyes for the first time. He was both surprised and somewhat worried to see his son perfectly inherit the bloodline abilities of him and his wife.
It was no secret that Richard and Lenora were the undisputed number ones of their respective families, but that was a double-edged sword that left them with too much prestige and power to use it casually.
When each of their words could decide the fate of multiple universes and cause unending wars across all the realities within this multiverse quadrant it had long become a habit of theirs to stay out of the public eye. The problem then was obvious, what would happen when two gods come together and have a child.
More than that, with a child like his, more talented than both parents while having a strong connection to both bloodlines, it was only a matter of time before accidents happen. Especially considering the almost cult-like following that was sure to pop up as soon as those crazy fellows saw Leon.
'Honestly, while it would have been easier if he had only been born with one bloodline active, given that this is my son I can't help but to feel even more gratified knowing that my son will definitely become even more overbearing than me' Richard was smiling brightly, his teeth gleamed in the pervading light with their own luster.
Anyone seeing that smile would know that the entire multiverse cluster was bound to be shaken when they saw those bright teeth, after all, plenty of souls across countless realities can attest to that very image being the last thing they saw before being sent to the undeworld.
All that is for a later time, for now Richard sat and watched as his son began the inheritance process for his second bloodline. Seeing his son's eyes for the first time, Richard felt a small jolt down his spine. 'Dominating' Such a word should not normally be applied to a baby born less than an hour ago, but somehow that was the exact feeling his son gave off as soon as his eyes opened.
Like Richard himself, his son had awakened to the highest potential bloodlines possible. The biggest hurdle for Richard's family inheritance was actually quite simple. All you had to do was be able to open your eyes before your first birthday.
That seems like a simple task but for a family like his the simpler the task seems, the harder it is to accomplish. His own family was technically even worse off since the stronger the bloodline the harder it was to awaken.
He himself took half a day to open his own eyes and activate his bloodline, and he was already considered to be an unparalleled talent. The ancestral land had trembled from the force of his own eyes opening, with universe wide energy storms and strange phenomenon painting the universe he was born into in a kaleidoscope of multicolored chaos.
As Richard watched his son activate both his and his wife's bloodline within two hours of being born, his eyes glistened and seemed to gaze far into the future. His heart started pumping faster, and his hands trembled ever so slightly. Had he been in a lower reality, those actions alone would have destroyed a region of space the size of earth's observable universe.
A cool and gentle touch shook him out of his observations. He sighed "Our son is really going to get to have a lot of fun. It almost makes me want to create a clone to join in." A gentle smile on his face and traces of red, of the deepest scarlet, flashed in the depths of the universes contained in his eyes.
"Oh, shut up, you old fart! You have had more than your fair share of excitement and it's not like there won't be anything for you to do in the future." Lenora snorted at her childish husband, while internally she was already making plans with her little book to make sure she had front row seats for all the major events to come.
"In any case, it would be remiss of us to not have any presence in the upcoming massacre. Especially considering how our last confrontation ended," Lenora waved her hand and a beautiful black and red model scepter, no more than a few inches long.
Gazing upon the unassuming figurine, Lenora wondered if it wouldn't be better to paint the multiverse red and wipe out all those insects that dared to have designs on her precious child. It would be nothing to make another multiverse or two and if needed she could force the issue herself.
But, feeling the strong waves of bloodline power buffeting the environment around them all coming from her son, Lenora sighed lovingly and unwillingly put away the Evil Altar deciding that her pampering couldn't extend too far.
Still, a smile of radiant beauty spread across her lips as she looked upon the infinite cosmos and witnessed the endless possibilities spreading out.
