Fifth Companion

~15 October 2006~

I look at my guardian, who stands behind me. This is the day where I summon another companion. I only have 70 more points in my hand, as I already spent 80 points in summoning Medea (20), Carol (10), Amelia (30), and Mordred (20). So I can spend most of my point on this summon and the next.

Right now, I want to summon someone that can be considered lightning or a sun. I have a list of people in mind. However, after discussing it with my guardian, one name came up. Kushina Uzumaki. She can be considered a powerful ninja that is known for her fuinjutsu. Only she is a powerful ninja, Kushina also has a hidden weapon inside her belly, the Kyuubi.

I take a deep breath and nod at my guardian, who nods back at me.

I then begin to press the Kushina portrait in the book and look at my used point start to change into 100 points, and I have 50 more points to spare.

A second later, a bright light appeared in front of me, and after a few more seconds, the light disappeared, and I could see someone appear in front of me. However, before I could walk toward Kushina and check her condition, I got hit by foul energy that washed over me.

I look up and see Kyubi trying to get out of his cage. I can even see a red chakra flaring out from Kushina's unconscious body, and it begins creating a fox-like shape.

"Medea! I need to stabilize the Kyuubi seal!"

"Yes, Master!"

Without hesitation, Medea throws a vial of potion toward Kushina, and suddenly, a blue mist begins floating around Kushina and Kyuubi. It was a Rain Flame. It was one of Medea's creations, a portable Rain Flame. A few seconds later, I can see the Kyuubi head begin to shrink and then disappear. However, I can still feel that Kyuubi chakra is still leaking from Kushina's body.

While waiting for the Kyuubi head to disappear, Medea writes something in the air. When the Kyuubi head disappears, Medea walks toward Kushina and pushes the array of rune toward Kushina's body.

"Master, The rune around her body, should be able to hold the Kyuubi for a few hours, but more than that. What should we do?"

Instead of answering her, I walk toward Kushina and place my hand on her head. Following my intuition, I pump a large amount of Rain Flame inside Kushina's body, and a second later, I begin to spread my sky flame inside her as well. A second later, I can feel that Kyuubi chakra has started to vanish into the air. However, before I could take away my hand, the world around me began to turn into a vast grassland. I walk around the place and search for something that catches my attention, and I even propel myself to the sky using my sky flame to see if there is something in this place.

The only thing I can see is that there is a mountain in the west and a thick forest in the east. There is also an ocean in the north and another forest in the south. I keep wondering around the grassland for another few minutes before I hear someone saying...

"You know…"

I quickly look at my back and see a giant fox with nine tails sleep lazily on the grass.

"... It was the first time in a long time that I felt this calm in my life."

"My name is Lexian, and you are?"

"Heh. Call me, Kurama, kid. How are you doing it anyway?"

"Doing what?"

"This. Before your presence here, this place is a prison with nothing inside, and the only thing inside is a big rock where I lay on it while being chained and stabbed. However, when this weird energy comes into this place, I begin to feel calm instead of anger. The place also begins to change into what you can see right now. My chain is gone, and while I still cannot get out of this place, I can now explore it. I don't why I tell you this, but right now, I'm in a good mood, so you should get out of here and tell my jailor that I will lend my full power in case she needs it."

"I will."

"Good. Now get out. Also, visit me from time to time."

I nodded at Kurama, who continued his sleep before suddenly, I appeared in my body.

"How long have I been out?"

"What do you mean master? You only close your eyes for a few seconds."

Only for a few seconds? But I feel like I'm wandering around for at least five minutes before Kurama kicks me out of Kushina Inner World. So the time flow in Kushina Inner world and the real world is different, huh?

"Medea, you can release her from the rune. It should be safe to release her from the rune."

"Of course, Master."

While Medea is undoing her work, I wonder how Kushina is in this situation. By the look of it, she is not fighting Obito and Kyuubi at the same time because there is no hole in her stomach. While she didn't have many injuries on her body, Kushina still had injury all across her body, and not only that, her seal is not broken, but an unknown party forcefully breached it.

Kushina also did not wear her casual clothes, but instead, she wore her Jonin uniform complete with her weapon and ration supply. This means that she is currently on a mission and not in her house waiting to give birth to Naruto.

So, what happened to her?

*Kushina Uzumaki POV*

This isn't good.

"Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique"

After quickly doing a hand seal, I expel a tremendous amount of water from my mouth, and I use it toward the enemy that follows my team and me during this mission.

This mission is supposed to be an easy mission. Deliver a supply to our people in the frontline. We suppose to deliver this to Yugakure and go back before the enemy sees us but somehow, before we could reach our destination, a squad of jonin shinobi of Kumogakure wait for us and begin to attack us.

Right now, I can't do anything but run away as not only do they outnumber us, my team consists of three genin shinobi and me as their jonin teacher.

After thinking about it for a few seconds, I stop on top of the tree and look at my team and say.

"Keep running. I will keep them busy."

"But sensei!"

"No! Go! We need to deliver this news to the Hokage. There is a spy among us. We are not far away from the nearby outpost. You can ask for reinforcement to come to my location. I will hold them as long as I can."

At first, my genin squad hesitates to leave me alone, but a second later, they nod before going away to the nearby outpost.

Seeing them go away, I look at the incoming enemy before me. Without hesitation, I immediately do a hand seal and take a deep breath.

"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough"

As my Jutsu hit some of the enemies and throw them away, I look at the remains of the Kumo shinobi and draw my Tanto out. I begin to charge at the Kumo shinobi and swing my Tanto, but it gets blocked by my enemy. However, before he can do anything, I summon my adamantine chain out and lock all his movements, including his hand, that holds his weapon. Without hesitation, I stab his neck with my sword, and when I see him die, I release my chains and aim it at the other shinobi near me.

I continued to fight four Kumo shinobi at the time for who knows how long. I want to defeat them if I use Kyuubi chakra, but that is not my goal right now. I only need to hold my ground for a reinforcement to arrive.

"Fool"

What?!?

Before I could react to the other voice behind me, I felt my whole body begin to lose strength. I try to access Kyuubi chakra to burn the seal he placed on my body, but to my surprise, I cannot use Kyuubi chakra.

"Look like our informant is correct, Kushina Uzumaki is the next Jinchuriki of Nine Tails. It looks like the third Hokage misdirection is not working as he intended."

The man that placed the seal on my back squatted down near me and smirked at me before saying.

"Look like we have our weapon to win this war, boys. Move her up. We will release the Kyuubi in the Land of Fire. It will give us enough time to attack them while they are busy dealing with the Kyuubi."

I can feel my body get picked up by the man, and they begin to jump away from our current location.

Fifteen minutes. That is how long I was carried away by the Kumo shinobi. Suddenly, I get thrown to the ground, and one of the men touches my belly and begins to breach my seal using something that I don't know, and that is hurt.

"ARGHHHH"

The breach of the seal is so much for me that I begin to lose my consciousness, and the only thing I see is a bright light enveloping me before the darkness consumes me.
