Direct Disciples, Competition

The first bell of the morning rang, announcing the start of a new day.

Guihu Luixing woke up feeling completely refreshed and ready to train. Like most children that are related to cultivators, Guihu Luixing had already started training his body in order to save time when he started cultivating. After all, the first cultivation realm was just body training.

Although it's difficult for a child to achieve perfect fitness, as they don't usually have much disciple in maintaining a strict training regimen and diet.

The in the first level are grouped all mortals that can sustain weights up to 15% of their body mass in their body, without interfering with their daily activities.

The second level, they could sustain up to 25% of their body mass as extra weight, without interfering with their daily activities.

This scaled until level 8, where they could carry weights equivalent to their body mass, without interfering with their daily lives.

Level 9 however, required the cultivator to be fit in a all around manner. They shouldn't feel fatigue even when doing heavy physical efforts, while carrying weights equivalent to their body mass.

They would notice when they reached the tenth level when during the training, their bodies undergo a waste expelling process.

It could be through defecation, urination or even through their pores by using the sweat glands.

The expelled matter was stinky and varied h public, so level nine cultivators ofter practiced in secluded areas.

Guihu Luixing didn't have this luxury however. He reached level 10 about two months ago. His expelling process was through urination. It hurt a lot and while he was contorting in pain, some of hit hit his legs.

He stunk for over a week. Dark Moon refused to be near him during this period. Even his mother could only apologise before handing his food through a long stick. The only saving grace eas that this incident didn't reach Elder Samantha's ears.

While Guihu Luixing's achievement was certainly impressive, it was certainly not that uncommon. He expected all the children that were classified as Direct Disciple also managed to achieve such feat, or at least to get close.

He wasn't wrong. Except the girls, every child in the Direct Disciple group achieved the same state. It was natural that girl had a slightly harder time achieving it, but it shouldn't take too long.

After leaving the bed, Guihu Luixing was surprised to not find Dark Moon nearby. She usually snuck out of her bed to sleep together with him.

At this time, Dark Moon opened the door and came in. She looked exhausted. She slowly approached Guihu Luixing and threw herself on his an

arms. Expecting it, Guihu Luixing proficiently held her with ease, demonstrating how many time he did this.

Finally reaching her favourite place, Dark Moon quickly fell asleep, leaving Guihu Luixing puzzled. What could she have done to exhaust her so?

He quickly discarded these thoughts, however, as he couldn't arrive late to his first day.

Guihu Luixing went to the dining room where his parents were waiting. His mother kept prattling on and on, on how her child was the most talented, cute and smart child of this generation, justifying the look of exhaustion of the headmaster. If you look closely, however, one could see traces of pride in his face.

After eating a filling breakfast, Guihu Luixing, made his way the core disciples courtyard, while carrying the still sleeping Dark Moon.

Upon arriving, he noticed there were many people in the courtyard, not only the other six new students. They all were using the direct disciple outfit, clearly prooving they were also direct disciples. There was a stage set in one of the courtyard's laterals.

"Brother Guihu, over here!"

Turning his head, Guihu Luixing noticed the tall boy calling him, together with the group that undertook the test with him. They were grouped right in the front of the stage.

The tall boy's name was Hector Schmitt. He scored perfectly compatibility with gold and earth elements, while also having excellent compatibility whith Dark element. He had one of the best results.

"Good morning, brothers and sisters." Guihu Luixing greeted them. He recieved many different answers, some replied, while others simply nodded.

There was still some time, so they started talking about the results of yesterday, what they expect from the training and other things.

Just as the second morning bell rang, the headmaster, Old Tail, Niko and another man arrived.

They went up the platform and the headmaster started his speech.

"As you all might have guessed, today is the day we welcome another batch of spectacular talents." He then pointed to Guihu Luixing's group "These seven children here had excepional results in the Aptitude test and were accepted as future direct disciples. Please, look after you juniors.

The other direct disciples, all older than them, looked over in their direction. Some were curious, others enthusiastic, some just glanced at them, while other waved at them.

"Now into the main topic. As you know, in a month we will be holding the Lake, Mountain and Valley competition here in our sect and every student in the Mortal Distancing Great Realm and above are expected to participate. "

He looked at all of the disciples gathered before continuing "We have long rivalry with the Sunshine Peak Mountain Sect and the Green Plains Lake Sect. We want you to perform at the best of your capabilities, so make sure that you are in peak form in the day of the competition. Those that perform well enough, can ask for any reward at the reward center which cost isn't above 100.000 contribution points."

Guihu Luixing was a bit shaken on that announcement. He knew a bit about the retribution points, he was the headmaster's son after all. 100.000 retribution points were an huge amount. He knew that the Ghost Fox Valley Sect had some rivalry with those sects, but didn't expect it to be so disputed.

After that, he announced which elders went into seclusion and which elders were taking their places in the lessons.

After some time, they were allowed to disperse, with the exception of the new disciples. Niko addressed them.

"Kids. Today we are going to check how you all are developing in your bodies. Even if you are at the last level of the Body Enhancing Realm, it is possible that your body isn't truly at it's physical fitness."

He continued his explanation while flexing his muscles "The closer you are to the true peak of physical fitness, the lesser the danger you'll face on the breakthrough to the Qi Interaction Realm. We don't want to risk any of you because of that."

None of the children protested. They were in complete agreement.

"Then let's start. Line up over there."

The line was quickly formed.

"I will now touch your body and tell you to activate one mucle group at a time."

Niko was an expert on mortal's body training. He could easily tell how they needed to develop their body or what diet they needed to follow in order to reduce the danger to a minimum.

There were however, two surprises for Niko. Both Guihu Luixing and Hector Schmitt were already infinitely close to the peak. They didn't need his tutoring.

"You two can head over to the Scroll Pavillion and chose a breakthrough method. Try your best young cultivators."

He then proceeded to hand over a medal to each of them. There was the Sect's symbol in one side and a purple scroll in the other.

Hector was ecstatic. He seemed to wear his emotions on his sleeves. Guihu Luixing however, was distracted with anothe notification.

Hello everyone.

Today I woke up with a fever, a light headache and a sore throat.

I think it's just a flu, but it could be COVID. It was very difficult to write a chapter while sick, my concentration was in all-time low. I can't guarantee the chapter quality, but I wanted to publish it anyway.

I feel like, ever since I started writing, my days became eventful. It's a good thing, but I would like events other than sickness. I can only write 500 characters in this section. I wanted to write more
