Not Leaving

Never in her life did she think she would see something as gruesome as this, Genevieve never thought she would see someone close to her being tortured.

She stood frozen at the doorstep, looking at Rhett who had blood in his hands, and then at the man who was almost naked, with just his boxers on and he was tied to a chair. His face and body were bloody but that didn't stop her from recognizing who the person was.

Rhett stood in his spot, frozen as he watched her with wide eyes,

What is she doing here? That was the only question in his head as soon as he saw her.

Nobody said anything for a few minutes, their eyes met doing the talking and nothing else but that.

She wanted to know what was going on, Rhett could tell. He could see it in her eyes, she was confused, shocked, and in disbelief.

"Little bird…" he called but then paused when he realized that they weren't alone.
