Genevieve froze in hearing that voice. The voice felt so familiar that she could tell who that was no matter where she went. But what she did not understand was what she was doing here.
She shook her head, thinking she was imagining it. There was no way her mother would be here. She was kidnapped, maybe she was imagining things. Yes, she definitely hit her head while they were bringing her here.
But the place went quiet again and then she heard the same voice.
"You should have chosen a proper way to do this Ray, she wouldn't forgive you if she knew," her mother said again.
This time, Genevieve knew she wasn't just hearing things. She was sure that was her mother in there, but she still hadn't been able to figure out why she was there.
