Change His Mind

Genevieve didn't know what to do after hearing that from Rhett. She was well aware that they weren't doing well in their marriage but at least she thought they were coming close even if he walked out of her the other day.

But now hearing this from him was like a big blow to her—it was like an eye-opener to her. He was indirectly telling her that whatever that was going on in his life was not her business.

She let out a heavy sigh and forced a smile out,

"It's okay. I'm not going to ask any more questions again," she told him and continued eating with her head lowered.

She didn't want to see him, she didn't want him to see the hurt in her eyes. She blamed her damn emotions for getting the best of her, if it wasn't her pregnancy she wouldn't have been this emotional.

Rhett felt bad when she said that.
