Chapter 6

For the first couple hours, the first set of overly large apartment buildings I made honestly were far too opulent than what was necessary or probably even wanted as I imagine the somewhat primitive people would probably not want a solid gold toilet with a heated seat, and the bidet shooting out warm magical water that would magically vanish any 'debris' that the water touches.

So, I dumbed it down as much as I could with keeping different styles like some were Western-style some Japanese, and many other styles like Indian, and even a couple of never-melting Igloo's just for laughs. Either way, the interior of each apartment consisted of three bedrooms and three bathrooms with two showers and a large bath that could fit the tallest and fattest fucker possible. I honestly made them fir for Shaquille O'Neal... That way even if Oni someday settle down and could prove to behave upon my mountain basically all the facilities could fit everyone, and I wouldn't need to make any allowances.

But I didn't budge off magic water that would remove all 'debris' in the sinks, toilets, and such that way all my people would be clean as I know for a damn fact that these people are still in the bathhouse stage and sharing bath water is disgusting, if there isn't a constant flow of new water being pushed and sucked out of the pool.

Either way I was already set having built a solid couple dozen apartment buildings and actually lined them beside the massive ramp I made going straight up my mountain while also leaving large gaps up between the buildings in case I needed to make roads or otherwise leave a sort of parking lot with a large patch of grass for any horses they used to haul them up and down the mountain.

"Wait with how people need to either walk or ride a horse up my mountain would that make the houses closer to the top worth more or less." I muttered confused as I didn't account for such a thing but then I just mentally said 'fuck it' Knowing if it was necessary, I could easily throw up a gondola system with pods to shuttle people quickly up and down the mountain.

"I am literally living in Sim City, I guess." I groaned and then just sat back and threw my consciousness towards Hiro who was now in between battles and had managed to 'encourage answers' out of one of the Yokai who escaped the Reimu's cleanup of the Yokai who escaped about where the spider Yokai were hiding.

I excitedly watched Hiro mentally psych himself up and then push forward into a dim cave lit up with bioluminescent moss with was probably magical in nature as it was easily able to light up the whole tunnel he walked down and finally reached a large open room at the end of the tunnel.

"Good hunting the beasts, now cleanse the world of their filth..." I whispered to him through our connection, and I saw him draw strength from my words lightning coated his body as the now ripped man roared a bestial challenge at the cluster of webbed-up bodies lining the ceiling and hanging off the stalagmites.

"Hey! What's the big idea yelling so loud in my cave don't you know spider Yokai are nocturnal?" A voice whispered a hauntingly pale beauty emerged from the shadows and with her upper torso being the only thing showing you could easily see how she would be able to easily ensnare men into her web with her bodacious body and as her eyes gently glittered like drops of blood that matched her dark red lips which contrasted her pale skin you couldn't help but almost get drunk on her appearance.

But it was all merely a facade as she crawled further out of the shadows, we both could see down below her large breasts and toned stomach connected to a horror show. It looked like a Tarantula, and I could feel the magic lining the millions of hairs covering the thick and bloated belly and the large eight legs which had bone spikes on the tips and on the joints to protect them.

I didn't give Hiro a warning about the magic the spider was storing up as for one he needed experience against the stronger and more intelligent Yokai, and should he die, for one I would get his soul as I wouldn't let it suffer in Gensokyo's hells as I imagine they wouldn't appreciate someone not following their little narrative of humans being cattle and men not having any power within their little world.

"Die Yokai! I will save the children you stole!" Hiro yelled out and it surprised me when his hair flashed yellow with the lightning for a split second and with an explosion of sparks, he discharged one of the lightning shells in the axe to surprise the spider Yokai with a burst of speed.

I could only facepalm as I saw the person, I anointed into a hero almost dying in his first major battle with the very first blow as he basically ran face-first into a wall of needle-sharp hairs whipping around the spider. "Fucking idiot." I groaned as he didn't even go for probing strikes or anything nope he just ran face-first into the equivalent of a cactus that will enjoy eating you...

But thankfully the regeneration factor I gave him made his wounds burst into steam and within seconds he franticly dodged backward and the Yokai allowed him to retreat while watching him with great interest.

"Hey, human if I rip out your guts to eat will you be able to heal that?" She asked excitedly and I saw Hiro calm down as he cleared his head.

"It doesn't matter as one way or another one of us is going to die in this fight and I refuse to be food to be harvested at your choice," Hiro growled as he swiped his axe through the air and sent a beam of lightning at the Yokai making her yelp and dodge, while he took the chance to run around her and kept throwing weaker bolts of lightning using his own magical energy to do so.

"Dammit, who do you think you are!" The spider Yokai yelled out furiously as she obviously didn't care for a human that wasn't Marissa or Reimu to be hurting her and I could see the divine lightning was burning her as she had a great deal of bad karma which enhanced the damage the lightning was doing to her.

Finally, the Yokai got sick of trying to shoot little needle hairs at him fruitlessly due to the conceptual protection from projectiles I gave him, and yelled as she likewise ran straight at Hiro as he took a turn to play the cactus as he discharged more than ten of the cartridges worth of stored up lightning in the axe and a massive surge of lightning exploded around him shaking the very cave the battle was taken place within and with an almost tired swing a beam of light was launched towards the Yokai and she could only screech in agony as she seemed to fall apart conceptually as the divine lightning unmade her very existence leaving nothing behind.

"Good work Hiro, now you got the most fun part of being a hero," I told him as he collapsed to his knees.

"What... Drinking? Sleep?" He asked tiredly and I could only snicker evilly.

"Nope, now you have to unbind all those people bound to the stalagmites above you." He groaned exhaustedly but he stood up as we could all hear the muffled noises of the children calling out to the person who saved him, and it sounded like a few actually recognized him even as he changed over the last day into a more muscular body after taking the essence of several other Yokai he had slain.

I was slowly leaking the essence into him from the great kill he made as it would cause a great deal of pain for him to jump so much in strength should I let the axe do it automatically and the sight of their supposed savior collapsing screaming in pain was not at all reassuring for traumatized children and worse it would set a terrible precedent should any of these children one day grow into something worth being made into a champion.

"Take the children back to Moria for I have built homes for them all and I can bring a game for you to prepare for their meals," I ordered and he nodded in understanding after I had already told him before about how Keine was injured and although people like Mokou and a couple had taken residence in the village to bolster the defenses temporarily, that would only be a half measure as he knew the more mercurial ladies of Gensokyo wouldn't want to live in the Human Village for an extended amount of time.

"Now how can I start farms, I wonder..." I thought as I mentally sorted through my mountain and tried to find wild grains, fruits, or vegetables, that would be suitable to grow extensively but sadly all I could find was a couple of apple trees some wild potato-like tubers, and oddly enough I literally had a whole patch of watermelon growing within one of the caves dotting my cliffside surrounded by bioluminescent moss that was also providing it will some heat and was leaking moisture ever so slowly.

Must have been a secret farm so either Yukari smuggled in or lost some seeds and one of the Tengu or other Yokai decided to start up a farm with the mystery seed with some knowledge of agriculture.

"Either way kids will love the watermelon." I smiled thinking of the good old days when I ate cold watermelon on a hot day.

Little did I know, Hiro's movements were being always monitored, and worse our connection was already found out and was already being made to print with the latest print of the Bunbunmaru Newspaper.
