Episode 9

"MARTIN! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! OPEN UP!" MIKIU shouted as she pounded on the door. Jayden, Vere, and Devin stared as purple sparks flared around Mikiu. "Shit...she's here..." Martin sighed as he peered through the peek hole of his front door. Yuki looked confused as Martin hesitated to open the door. "I take you two have history?" Yuki asked. Martin nodded, "You could say that..." Martin replied, "Better not piss her off more though.." Martin slowly opened the door and gave a sheepish grin, "He..hey, been a while.." Martin stuttered. Mikiu glared, her eyes seemed to stare through Martin's soul, "You...you've been with my nephew this whole time and didn't think that maybe...just MAYBE it would be a good idea to inform me of this turn of events?" Mikiu asked. Martin sighed, "Miki...now is probably not the best time to get heated up about this..." he replied. "HEATED?!" Mikiu asked, the purple sparks igniting around her. "Your aunt seems pissed...." Devin said. "What gave that away?" Jayden asked sarcastically. Vere grinned, "I sense an old lover's quarrel," he said. The flames around Mikiu blew out and both her and Martin blushed. "Obvious?" Martin asked. Vere nodded, "Too obvious actually..." He replied. "I don't like you..." Mikiu hissed at Vere. Martin sighed, "Come in...we have a lot to discuss and it would seem as though we don't have a lot of time to go through everything," he said waving his hand through the door way. Mikiu huffed and walked into the flat followed by Jayden, Vere, and Devin. Martin walked over to a couch and sat, "Mikiu and I dated for quite some time..we also fought against Oracle together, however that all changed when you came into the picture Jayden...your aunt chose a life of peace with you and keep you safe from Oracle's clutches, but it would seem fate had other plans..." Martin said. Jayden looked at Mikiu, "Is this true?" He asked. Mikiu nodded, "I couldn't risk continuing the fight without Oracle discovering I had you...your parents were killed as a result of my influence in taking down Oracle...." Mikiu replied. Jayden's eyes widened, "Y...you are the reason my parents died?" He asked. Mikiu nodded, "I didn't want you to find out this way...but when I discovered that you and your friends were going after Oracle I knew that you would find out the truth sooner or later," she replied. Jayden felt his head spinning and could feel tears in his eyes. "YOU TOLD ME MY PARENTS WERE KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT!" Jayden shouted. Mikiu frowned, "I'm sorry Jayden...I didn't want to hurt you....that's why I took you away," she replied. Martin stood to his feet, "Do not just blame her, I kept her involved after my tribe was destroyed....this is my fault as well," he said. Tears ran down Jayden's face, "All this time....I should have put the dots together...that's why Ben said what he said about my parents...he knew Oracle killed them," he said. Mikiu frowned, "Jayden I'm so sorry....I should have told you sooner..." She said. Jayden glared, "It's too late for that...." he replied. Jayden turned and ran through the door. "JAYDEN!" Mikiu shouted. Martin grabbed Mikiu, "He needs time to process...we can't come up with a plan on how to handle Oracle with him like this..." Martin said. Yuki turned towards the door, "I'll take care of him..." She said and with that she too ran through the door. The room was quiet, "Sooo....who is hungry?" Vere asked. Meanwhile, Jayden sat outside on top of a hill overlooking the city. "You know it's not her fault?" Anubis asked. Jayden nodded, "She couldn't control what happened, I'm not mad about that..." Jayden replied. "You're mad that she didn't tell you the truth," Anubis said. Jayden nodded. Anubis sighed, "Sometime the truth isn't what we always want to hear and sometimes the truth does more harm than good..." He replied, "I had to learn the hard way in my past life that though I was angry at your ancestor he still treated me with respect and as his equal...." Jayden sat for a moment. "Jay...Jayden?" Yuki asked as she walked towards Jayden. Jayden turned, "Yuki? What are you doing here?" He asked. Yuki frowned, "I'm here for you....I was concerned," she replied. Jayden stood to his feet, "I'm sorry I worried you...I'm fine now," he replied. Yuki walked towards Jayden and hugged him. "You're not alone in this, I know how you are feeling and....I'm here with you, and I'll stand by you through this, we will avenge your parents and mine and take down Oracle together," Yuki said. Jayden smiled, "Thank you...." He replied. Yuki blushed and kissed him, "Don't think you're alone," Yuki said with a smile. The two walked back to the house hand in hand. "Martin, Aunt Miki..."Jayden said as he stood in the door way. Mikiu and the others looked at Jayden. "It's time to bring the final fight to Oracle...and take them down once and for all...." Jayden said.
