"I guess we should talk," Nicole speaks to me.
I nod and take my bag, hitching it on my shoulder.
"During the break? I happen to have a class right now and I really cannot afford to miss it," I say and she nods.
"Yeah. That seems okay. I too have a class and I think it's the same one as you," she says as we get out.
There is still an awkwardness with us. We get to the next class, the whole way not having said anything to each other. When we get in she goes to sit with Shirley and I sit down but not close to them.
