High School

(A/N: Sorry again, for the late update. I know this is getting redundant, but I am trying to write daily. I was busy with one thing or another, and it got in the way of my writing or editing my other fic's chapters. And I am getting a lot of comments about the grammar and my writing style, for some of them I will say thanks but for the others, I will only say this, you are here to read a funny, light-hearted story. You are not grading my English paper for my finals, so take a chill pill, grab a snack, and enjoy.

Now onto the story, last we have seen the family meet Gloria and their reaction to Claire's POV. I only added her POV because of the episode in the first season "Coal Digger". Because all the other family members more or less accepted her very early. So now MC is starting high school and his sports company will also be starting, so if you have any other ideas, comment them in the paragraph comments. Lastly, my writing style is like this because I read fanfiction on "Fanfiction.net" most of the time and my writing is like those authors. *MC POV*

Today is the day, a new school year. This is the first year of high school and I could not be more excited. As I am getting ready for school, my thoughts went back to things that happened after I won the national tournament earlier this year.

The family met Gloria on the night of the finals of the national tournament and after that, we went out to eat like every time I win something or we have to celebrate something. The dinner was fine until mom started asking questions about grandpa's relationship with Gloria.

Things after that went downhill from there. The constant mumbling insults and the yelling at the last were all that needed to know that it was not going to be an easy relationship to accept from my mother.

Even after the rejection from my mother, the whole family supported the relationship wholeheartedly and last week, when I was with Grandpa he told me that he was going to ask Gloria to marry her.

But that is for the future, as my thoughts went to the company I just started in the summer. Initially, it is going to be a basketball sports equipment company but after some years I am going to add some other sports and fashion elements to the company in the form of sub-brands and buy out other successful brands in their initial stages. (a/n: comment on such brands if you have any thoughts)

My parents were very happy and proud when I told them that I was going to start a company and asked for their support. After meeting my manager, which I got conveniently with the help of my system's plug-ins which is a summoning system.(a/n: I think it is a good plug-in, comment your thoughts).

The manager I got had more than enough qualifications to run a successful business and with the help of my system shop, I sometimes forget, the company was going to be successful for one reason or the other.

The basic framework was done last year and this summer we opened our factory and first store from the start-up funds I got from the financial crash that just occurred last year and still continuing till this year and spreading all over the world. There are more than enough funds so I invested them in the companies I knew will be successful in the future and they will act as assets for the future when I need them for further financing and angel investing rounds, this way I can keep the majority shares in my hands and my money is always working in the market.

The shoe designs are the same as Jordans 2010 collection for the first batch and after talking with manager Bill, I decided to hire some designers for further designs. As the crisis will spread in the east side of the world, Bill will start buying factories in those parts as well.

All that is needed is to sign some players who will be famous in the future in the early part of their career and the technology of the shoe will do the most part in those negotiations. The shoe technology is legal for all the rules currently in the NBA and according to the system, it will remain legal in further future as well because it does not enhance the performance of the athlete by a big margin.

It just gives the feeling to the athlete that the shoe is helping but if the athlete is not hard-working or talented, it will not be much help. (a/n: comment your favorite designs for the shoes in the chapter comments and the 2010 jordans are just base models, there will be some design when the MC will start basketball season).

The company is on the right track and it will start selling shoes by the time I will be in the middle of the season and the audience will be seeing me perform tremendously in the sample shoes that I have with me from the system and as well as from the factory.

As I am looking at the stats there are many changes from the last time I checked them and the stats show that my hard work on the court and outside is working in the right direction, as I am getting into serious competition in the future, I have to determine my position as well, if I want to be a guard or forward(a/n: comment, because Aomine was forward, I think).

I am almost ready to go to school and I went downstairs for breakfast. I kissed my mom on her cheek and said: "Good Morning" and high-fived Dad and Luke. My parents are asking me whether I am excited or not about high school and we talked for some time, then Dad asked me if he can drop me off at school as it is my first day of high school and I said "Fine". If his smile is any indication then I made the right decision. Because I know he is looking for moments like these to give his fatherly advice, which my other grandpa Frank gave my Dad when he was my age.

So, we left for school, and at the gate, he hugged me, tears in his eyes and I let him do it despite the stares I was getting from the other parents and kids. After some time, he let me go and I went into the school after giving him the wave last time.
