Modern Family: Genius

Gabriel is 5 years old. After he was born he was raised in an orphanage. He is what you would call a genius. On a fateful day when he was 5 years old, he started to see memories of another person. He saw them like it was a movie. He saw many things. Gabriel realized that these memories were probably from his past life. Through these memories, Gabriel realized how terribly he was treated in the orphanage. He ran away. Gabriel saw an abandoned house and lived there for a night. After waking up the next day he suddenly met the neighbors of this house Phil and Claire Dunphy, whom he realized were in the memories of his past life. Phil and Claire were worried after seeing how he lived and decided to adopt him. The young boy would slowly start to trust people again in the future thanks to his parents. The description isn't good. I know that. I racked my brain but couldn't find anything better. The world will be a mix of various different TV shows and movies. The MC will be a genius. Yes, I know it is incredibly hard to portray a genius character not being as smart as him, but I will try my best to narrow the gap with the help of the internet. Due to that, my updates will probably take longer than on my other novels as I need more time to research.

Cogito Ergo Sum

"Do I really exist?"

This is the question I have most thought about since I have received the memories from my past life.

It has been 2 weeks since the Dunphys adopted me and 1 week since I got to know my new relatives.

"Mom, can you drive me to the library today?", I asked my mom as dad was working.

"Of course dear", Mom allowed it. YES!

"Haley, Alex let us go to the library", Mom shouted at both of them while getting Luke from his cradle.

"What is a library?", Haley asked. Alex too listened curiously.

"It is a place with many books", I gestured to her a huge place.

"But books are boring", Haley said dejectedly.

"There are games there", I tried to convince her.

"YAY! Games", Haley jumped high. She loved playing games.

We soon drove towards the library.

There were about 4 other people somewhere in the whole library.

I looked at the guide which looked like a dictionary with its many words and searched for Philosophy books.

Especially the ones about existence.

I soon found the row and walked towards it.

Claire didn't follow me. She knew I was smart and sensible. Due to this she sometimes let me run around alone.

There was no one here.

I looked around and found one particular book which interested me.

It was probably one of the most used ones, which was seeable from the low amount of dust on it and its recognizable faults.

It was called Meditationes de prima philosophia written by the Frenchman René Descartes. I was lucky. It was reachable for me.

Luckily, I took the book, which was translated into English, and started reading it.

The first chapter or principle as it is called in this book is called Cogito Ergo Sum.

I read everything about it. I started crying. Yes, crying. Not due to the book being earth-shatteringly good. It was as I found my answer. Destiny is sometimes a mystery. The first chapter of the first book I opened gave me my answer.

"Cogito Ergo Sum", I repeated the title of the principal again.

The principle is "I think, therefore I am"

The principle in dumb is "I doubt, therefore I think, therefore I am"

I found something that isn't describable in any way.

It is like I just found a purpose in life.

I soon searched for a book in which you could learn Latin.

I wanted to learn more knowledge.

I quickly found the book I searched for and ran towards my mom to start reading there.

I finally realized how terrifying my spatial awareness really is.

Only one look was needed at the page of a book and I could reform it in my mind by looking at every single word of the book.

I could just spend about 1 to 5 minutes per page of a book and let the page be "formed" in front of me. It depends if it is about a language that is inherently more complicated with more words or books about knowledge that could be completed faster.

This means if I didn't immediately memorize everything with my IQ of 171 I could just let the spatial awareness immediately reconstruct the book and read about it again.

It is comparable to or even better than the eidetic memory of someone called Sheldon I saw in the memories.

Its most practical use is on experimentation though.

I could just imagine an engine that is running in my head and with enough knowledge I would immediately recognize the mistakes or make possible improvements.

I could simulate many possibilities in my mind with the spatial awareness and know which would be the most efficient and the best.

It was something no one ever had.

Due to this, I took out even more books. Most about I.T. or electrical knowledge and currents.
