16. The First Demon

Entering the house Lucifer sighed and resumed his daily life, after Elena got the answer that he makes his own food she stopped pestering about other questions but he saw a strange light in her eyes before leaving the school which kind of creeps Lucifer out.

Never in both of his lives has he seen her like this and doesn't know what's going on.

Lucifer finished his homework and daily course and once again entered the game.

He still needs 3 more level ups to equip a class, he is kind of impatient to equip his class but what made him more fascinated was the book he has received as the reward.

He curiously looked at the thick book with an old cover on it, this is a surprise for him as in his previous life he didn't get any sort of book.

*Knock Knock*

Outside the inn, it was time for checking out so he had to pack his back and leave the place, wearing the mask and hoodie Lucifer entered a nearby cafe and ordered a coffee for himself and once again began to check out the book.

He opened the book and a purple light flew out of it entering his head causing a heavy headache and Lucifer tightly closed his eyes.

When it felt like the headache subsided he opened his eyes and once again was greeted by an unfamiliar sight.

He was standing in a playground full of kids playing around, the air was not as fresh as it was before and there were still concrete and brick walls, it was at least a few hundred years scenario.

"Hey catch this"

Suddenly a child threw a ball towards him and Lucifer tried to catch it but the ball flew past his body as if he wasn't there.

"huh? an illusion?"

Lucifer was quite confused looking at the situation he was in, he had heard that some books may take the readers into an illusion which shows them all of its content but had never seen it with his own eyes.

He looked around to find something which can give him the answers to his questions but found nothing and soon his gaze landed on the boy in the corner of the playground with a silver outline marking him as someone special.

'Is this about him?'

Lucifer walked towards the boy and noticed something unusual about him, he wasn't playing around with other kids but instead was watching them calmly.

Other kids around him were not bothering to even talk to him, his eyes didn't shine with the innocence but instead it was filled with loneliness and anger which he kept only to himself.
