MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Mage

Everdawn. It was a game that was released to the public in 2025. What made it a hit was that it was the first-ever V.R.M.M.O.R.P.G released to the public. In no time it became the best game in the world. Soon people started to create things called “guilds”. These guilds were like the teams in E-Sports. However, they were more like companies. This was thanks to the game's “money” feature where you could trade in-game money for IRL cash. Elias Thorne was one of the greatest players in Everdawn. With his skills, he was able to be a part of the Valhalla guild however, fearing his power the guild kicked him out but not before stealing his account. However, out of pettiness, they gave him a small item that he had received from one of his first quests. But the next thing he knew he was back in time 14 years before Everdawn was released. With his newfound knowledge of the future, he was going to rise to the top and get revenge on those who betrayed him.

[Congratulations You Are the First Person to Complete a Dungeon]

[Would you like to announce your achievement to the whole world?]

[Y/N]

Seeing that I quickly clicked [No].

The reason for that was pretty simple and that was because I didn't want anyone to find that I had the [Dash] skill.

'But then again the admin might find out thanks to this'

But the loot you could obtain here…

Hidden dungeons were amazing not because of the amount of EXP but the amount of loot you could get.

Looking around I then noticed a trap door behind a rock and opened it. Entering the place my eyes bulged out seeing the amount of Gold and…plants?

However, as I looked closer I realized what they were.

Wolf's bane.

Wolf's bane is something that is poisonous to werewolves and kobolds. In Everdawn the kobolds were just failed versions of werewolves thus wolf's bane did have a effect on them.

However, I frowned.

'But why are they growing poison in their basement'

But as I started to look around, I found something that made me widen my eyes. On a pedestal was a book.

However, this wasn't just any book but a Grimoire.

These things are extremely and I mean extremely rare.

Picking it up I observed its black colour and runes all over the cover. Then a status window appeared in front of me causing me to widen my eyes.

Name: The Curse Codex

Type: Grimoire

Tier: Epic

Description: This Grimoire contains countless curses of old and the knowledge of the great witch Cyrena Le Torneau

____________________

"Cyrena Le Torneau? Why does that sound familiar?" I muttered

As I inspected the grimoire I then put it in my inventory.

'Guess I can sell it'

The Grimoire didn't really fit my style, even though it is rare curses aren't going to be very great against someone who can use darkness magic.

With a sigh, I got up.

'Besides I could get a better grimoire'

But I still couldn't understand why the NPC would leave something this powerful here. I then took the Evergold.

[+3,540 Evergold]

I then also took some of the wolf's bane.

'Should be useful'

Leaving the hidden dungeon I made sure to mark it on my map.

'Guess I need to restock'

Making my way back to the town I first bought some Health and Mana pills. I also decided to upgrade my magic boots.

Which cost me…let's not talk about it

A man in a business suit walked into the long hallway. As he did a small smile couldn't help but emerge on his face.

'I've done it'

The man's name was Alex Hunt and he was currently one of the most famous people in the world. This was due to one thing and that was Everdawn.

Yes, Alex Hunt was the creator of Everdawn.

His story was something that could be seen in any movie or cliche rags-to-rich story. He was a poor student as his parents could barely make ends meet however, thanks to a genius invention of his, his life changed for the better.

However, as he was smiling he felt his phone buzz. Seeing the caller ID his face contorted.

With a sigh, he picked up the phone.

"Yea, what?"

"There is a bug," hearing the other side speak he froze "You're joking right?"

There was no way a bug could happen after 'he' gave him the materials. But there was a bug how was there?

Did one of the coders make a mistake?

'No there is no way that's possible'

All the coders that were hired to do was just write the code that was provided for them unless…

'Did one of those morons decide to do their own thing?'

If that was so then he needed to fix this mess right away.

"I'll fix it right away," but then he remembered the plans "Should I delay the future plans?"

"..."

There was silence on the other before he heard a response "No keep going as scheduled however, make Bahamut and Nirvana stronger,"

"Understood,"

-Beep

-Beep

Hearing the beeps which signaled the calls end Alex let out a sigh before he covered his face "This is going to take fucking forever,"

John shot the arrow at the giant bear that had silver fur.

The arrow soared in the air however, the bear saw the arrow and moved its head to the side allowing the arrow to pierce its body rather than its head.

[-12]

"Hit it for 12!" With that shout, John grabbed an arrow from his quiver.

A girl then charged forward with her blade gleaming from the sun. A golden glow then surrounded her before she swung her blade.

"I hit it for 120!" Instantly she jumped back allowing a muscular young man to run toward the beast with his shield raised high.

"RAAAA,"

Enraged the giant bear brought down his claws hitting the guy's shield.

"C-crap," The bear then reared its paw back before repeatedly slamming into the young man.

But just in that instant, a yellow glow appeared around the muscular young man allowing him to push the bear back a little bit.

John then quickly fired a few arrows doing a little damage before the blonde-haired girl appeared behind the bear delivering a devesting slash, however, it wasn't dead yet. The girl quickly moved out of the way allowing the muscular youth to take the hits.

John then turned behind and saw a girl wearing mage clothes chanting a spell as runes hovered around her. She was mumbling a few chants under her breath before she opened her eyes and shouted "Fireball!"

"Terry, Move!" Seeing a ball of fire streaking into the air John quickly warned the muscular youth, Terry. Hearing the warning Terry quickly rolled out of the way allowing the fireball to land on the bear.

*BOOM*

A loud explosion happened along with a notification.

[You've killed [Tasmanian Bear Lvl 15]!]

[Due to party sharing you obtain +75 EXP]

Seeing that notification John smiled before he lowered his bow and arrow.

"Nice job," John complimented everyone but then his gaze turned to the blonde girl.

"Yaaa! We killed a level 15 monster!"

Hearing that John's eyebrow twitched "Rebecca please don't go running off challenging another high-level monster,"

However, Rebecca merely started to hit his back "Come on loosen up a bit! This is a VR game let's enjoy it by challenging ourselves"

But soon they started to bicker causing Terry and the mage Luna to sigh. Terry then turned toward the girl garbed in priest robes "Thanks for the assist," he said with a smile, and the mage Diana joined in "Yeah this would've been hell if it weren't for you,"

The girl replied with a smile back "No problem just doing my part,"

She was remarkably pretty with long blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. On top of her read the name [Star Song].

This party was only formed recently well kinda. Terry, Luna, Rebecca, and John were friends IRL as well. This was why they worked so well together but as they started to level up and they went into harder territory it became evident they needed a healer and couldn't rely on potions.

Thus Star Song joined.

She was a priest, however, her subclass was that of a paladin. While the subclass wasn't as great as the class itself it had the potential to be better than the class.

However, as they were chatting a message appeared in the air.

[World Announcement!]

[The First Dungeon has been cleared!]

As the party gazed at the message in shock the forums were blowing up with questions.

Looking in the air I shook my head.

'Let's just get some EXP'

'Not bad I guess'

I then walked into the forest.

Currently, I have set a timer for around 12 minutes which is how much time the dungeon needs to restock.

'So I might as well get some grinding done'

Thanks to there being no time limit I was able to hold off on the request. It wouldn't be until 2 weeks from now the first update would happen having timers appear in quests.

Hopping around I quickly dashed into the forest to grind some monsters.
