Chapter 9 The Long Dark night against the Forces of Malice

It was a difficult work creating New Draconia and helping the other nations reach the same level of power and technology as New Draconia but it was worth but then Targon would receive news that Draconis was dying to which he and others would gather around the dying Draconis, Draconis would explain why he is now dying, the reason was dying was because he sees that his legacy and his will live well under the care of Targon thus can pass on in peace. Targon woud over see Draconis remains being laid to rest with his family who were now in the new named the memorial tomb of New Draconia. Targon then layout his battle plan to his forces explain that New Draconia would face the bulk of Stendhal's forces because the conquest of the dragons is his price then would seek to expand his dragon empire which would swallow the other nations of this world then one day he would turn his attention to the human world which lead the humans to ready themselves for an invasion as for Targon forces he layout the battle which to have season Dragonins and the spirits of the warriors who Targon befriended in the human who came to repay the debt they own Targon for every he has done for their world. The two group would the frontline which they will get the brunt of Stendhal's forces meaning they will most likely die everyone at the briefing would realize that Targon is allow the Dragonin veterans die with their honour in the form of the promised death Targon would give them, the frontline troops would be backed up by the rear guard would be made up of soldiers that Targon fought along side in the human world who also had experience in handling anti-air artillery which would be used to shot down any demon from the sky while the ground troops would take down those on the ground and those that were shot down or avoiding the artillery. Targon would place the primestone soldiers who people tried to forcibly unlock the power of the primestones which resulted in them turning into crystal soldiers with no will and no emotions but reality those individuals became prisoners in their own body waiting for the day they can be free which Targon would give them after he has defeated Stendhal. He would have the primestone soldiers guard the gate with souls of those who died under Stendhal's rule as the tyrant king as their rear guard. While the rest of Targon's forces would guard the city walls with rifles and artillery on the ramparts. Targon also would spread a poison gas that is only fatal to demon within the city to make sure all of Targon's forces would hit their targets, elsewhere New Draconia's navy and air force would provide military aid to the other nation allied with New Draconia. Before Targon order his forces to ready themselves he would ask them to win the battle and come home to their families alive which would lead one of Targon's generals to state all in the military know the risks and accepts it to which Targon state just because they accept it does not mean I do. Targon forces remember what Targon said during their training that they are not a bunch of mindless disposable tools also remembering that it is the people in the military that Targon values not gear or equipment. Targon troop would then ready themselves for the battle ahead of them Targon Marci and Davious to guard the emergency shelter with Victor as back up in case both Marci and Davious are killed, the emergency shelter was for all non combatant and the civil so non of them would get caught in the crossfire. Targon, the New Draconia military and all allied nation began to ready themselves for the long dark night ahead of them while humans were doing the same but would face demon who are under Grogar's command. The demon lead by Stendhal would arrive which would be the sign that the long dark night had come but they were ready for. The battle of the long dark which how history will remember it which was the most blood and most violent anyone has ever seen in both Targon's home realm and the human world. During the battle the Draconin would die with their honour but not before taking a third of Stendhal forces with them. The spirits of Targon's long dead friends and the people who died under Stendhals rule which included Targon's father and grandfather would witness end of the battle but would see so much death. As Stendhal's forces dwindle he would unleash the final third of his forces which comprised of all Targon's enemies he had made in the human world which Targon killed some, see ghosts from shocked Targon because he never thought he'd see them again then he realizes how they had returned, Targon realized that Grogar was watching Targon for the last five thousand years and would find an opportunity to increase the demons numbers. Meanwhile New Draconia's allies would meet those who Targon had executed again but it would as demon and they would learn becoming demons had brought out their true nature which they had no reason to hold back. In the human world they to would face an invasion from the demon realm but they were being lead by the demon who were called the seven soldiers of sin who Grogar's generals. The demon would be the attack on the human world but to their surprise the human were waiting for them because they had witnessed Targon duel with Grogar and would hear Targon's terms for winning the duel which was not to aid Stendhal but that the people who are loyal to Targon and who are his follower would get a warning that there would a chance that Grogar would send a army of demon to the human world which lead to all of humanity to band together to fight in their own long dark night. During the fight somehow Stendhal had managed to capture Targon's mother and would demand that Targon and his forces surrender which Targon was about to then his mother spoke up stating that even if Targon surrendered you would kill me anyway just to make Targon suffer which then leads her to bit Stendhals hand then cutting off his tail then Stendhal would grab Targon's mother by the neck and say you know what you are absolutely right then would plunge his sword through her chest piercing her heart then would let her fall which everyone witnessed even the dragons that still follow Stendhal which would show them Stendhal's true nature which is a deranged psychopath, Malefor son was still willing to follow Stendhal after what he just did leading him deal a fatal blow to Targon which was stopped by Malefor of all people who would piercing his own sons heart shocking everyone then all of Stendhal remaining dragon followers would turn on him shocking everyone again, with help from Stendhal's former followers managed to deal a heavy blow to Stendhal's forces but at the cost of the lives of Stendhal's followers and Targon's mother, as the former followers of Stendhal lay dying they begin to turn to ash but it was different then how the demon bodies after they died to which Targon explains that demons who hold to their negative emotions till death would fade into oblivion but those who let go of those negative and who also hold some amount of positive emotions are able to join the souls who have who came before them who would join with the primestone another way to say is that their souls have been save. Targon would see Stendhal trying to escape and would order his troops to kill any stragglers of Stendhal's forces while deals with Stendhal himself. Targon would then chance Stendhal toward the top of a mountain over looking the city while have a ring of fire surrounding his with Targon appearing before him who he would called a murderer which Stendhal tried to beg Targon to show mercy to which angrily states after everyone thing he has done he do not deserve mercy then Stendhal to play we are family card and stating the demons are the enemy and the ones who made Stendhal what he is to which Targon states why he should listen to signal word he has to say while list all the crimes he had committed and asked Stendhal to give him one reason why Targon should let him live while pinning Stendhal to the ground with his foot while have he sword to Stendhal's throat to which Stendhal answer what are you going to do you wouldn't kill your own uncle to which Targon states that he never be like which would lead Stendhal ask if there was anything that he could to which Targon state to leave and only return why Targon blood no long exist and has no live follows which everyone heard because there was a camera that followed Targon throughout the battle which everyone watching and listening knew would be impossible which Stendhal seemingly agreed but then would throw some embers at Targon eyes temporary blinding but long enough for Stendhal to attack Targon state did you really think I was give on reclaiming what is rightfully his to which Targon would reply saying it was never your to begin, the two would go back and forth using the claws as weapons then Stendhal would knock Targon to the ground but the Targon used his power over the elements to cut off Stendhal's wings then would throw him over the side of the mountain near a spot on the battle where there is a fire burn which Stendhal would land in the part that has yet to be consumed by the flames, Targon would witness Stendhal's surviving forces turn him after he tried to blame them for everything which would lead them to kill Stendhal while being engulfed in flames Targon then return the city after saying my you sins haunt you forever Stendhal, as Targon retuned to the city his troops bowed their head to the king, he would then get hugged by his sister who was happy that he is alive to he say to her I had to stay alive becuase I am one of the only family you have left then Sunset would approach then hugging him which would to Targon to say i kept my promise as I said I would to which Sunset would say you always have the two would go to the emergency shelter to see if what Marci, Davious and Victor were still alive and they would learn that the three had succeed in protecting the shelter and that everyone inside are unharmed which would lead Targon to open the shelter then calling out two name with two appearing before then Targon would hug each one of them which is revealed that the two kids belonged to Targon and Sunset who born during the time the time bubbles were still up then Siddari and Victor would ask Targon meet them at the city tower were both bowed their heads to Targon with Targon hugging Victor because to him Victor is family then Siddari would say it is time. The next morning was historic moment because it was Targon coronation which everyone that be there in person because they did not want to miss this for anything while those who could not be there in person would watch on screen via the camera's at Targon coronation. At the coronation Targon would swear an oath to protect and serve the people of New Draconia while ruling fair and justly for the rest of his life after hear Targon swear the oath Siddari would place a stone crown with Dragiri words that translate to the one who protect the people meaning the person who were the crown swears an oath to serve and protect their people, Targon would then rise with crown on his head the Siddari would say all hail Targonious Dracirian king of the dragon with everyone shouting long live the king. Targon along with Sunset who is now his queen would walk together to greet the people who could not fit the throne room as they meet their subjects they all cheer which the two would greet with a wave of their hands. One might think this is the end of Targon's story but you be wrong because there is one chapter left to be told.
