Chapter 3 Targon's Journey Part 2 The Fertile Crescent Kingdoms

After laying his master to rest Targon now going by Immaruizi continue his teacher's work. Two day had pass since Abgal had died, Immaruizi would live and work in his teacher's old home. One day Immaruizi was going to the market to buy supplies for the potter shop Immaruizi spotted as slave trader beating some slaves which Immaruizi found disgusting, as the slaver was about to strike the slaves again Immaruizi stop and would state that's enough to which the slaver would say that this not his concern to which Immaruizi would state that if tools are not taken care of properly then they will break and become useless just like badly injuried or dead slaves. While the slaver would talk to his customers Immaruizi would ask the beaten slaves if they are alright to which they said they have some bruises and would also say that he should concern himself with slaves to which Immaruizi would sate that they are his concern now, Immaruizi would buy the four slaves and would make them his assistants. After Immaruizi potter shop/home he would as the his new assistants their names, the man names is Gagrim, the women name is Gashan, the boy name is Garza and the girl is Hili. The four former slaves ask Immaruizi why showed them compassion to which Immaruizi would states that he hates slavery which shock them. Immaruizi would spend time teaching his new assistants the art of making potter and would also show them how to make bread which is a side job of Immaruizi to earn a little extra shekels. While practicing the craft the four assistants apologized to Immaruizi for making a mess which would lead them to expect Immaruizi to give the a beating but to their surprise Immaruizi would just say that they make a mistake as long as no one was hurt and to learn from this mistake. The night Immaruizi took in the four former slaves he would sneak into the place where the slaver was sleeping and would slit his throat then would free the other slaves the slaver keep, Immaruizi would the give the freed slaves some food, water, camel and the slavers money and would tell them to travel to Larsa tell if they travel there they can start over and they won't have to worry about the guards because Immaruizi would lead them away.After freeing the slaves Immaruizi would return to the slavers room and would ransack the room to make it like a thief was looking for something valuable to steal then someone heard something from the slavers room which Immaruizi while in disguise would run to the desert outside of city with guards following behide but would lose which was to his plan, once morning came the guards would interrogate the people if anyone know anything about the thief from last night which no one in the city had no idea about until the guard asked Immaruizi to which he told them his aliby and he did see the thief running away from the city into the desert and would give the idea that the thief may have been a hire assassin by a rival slave trader or even someone else who held a grudge against him which guards believed, the guards would pursue the slaves because it would be a waste of time. Eight years would pass since Immaruizi make Garim, Gashan, Garza and Hili his assistants and now are his apprentices and all five of them have become more then master and his apprentices they had become like family but recently the four apprentices noticed that Immaruizi was acting strange which would lead them to ask the master if there was something wrong to which he would answer with a heavy heart which the four realize that their master is leave which would lead the four to ask why Immaruizi is leave to he answers them saying that he does not want to leave but Immaruizi feels he must because when Abgal Immaruizi's teacher took him in he was a lost soul and thanks to his teacher Immaruizi found purpose which would now do the same Immaruizi would now dedicate his life to find other lost soul and help them find their purpose just like Immaruizi did for his apprentices. After hear the master explanation they understood the reason their master is leaving. After Immaruizi finished his packing for his morning departure he would spend one last night star gazing with Garim, Gashan, Garza and Hili before he leaves them. The follow morning as Immaruizi was about to leave Eridu Garim, Gashan, Garza and Hili would give him clay statues of five people which they would explain each of the four apprentices personal worked on and together worked on the five clay statue and would also explain that it was the five of them as a family, learn that his apprentices had made something personal to the five of them Immaruizi was touch by the gifts and would state thank you then saying he will never forget them and will miss them. As Targon still using the name Immaruizi while traveling on a camel would ride for the city Larsa. After some weeks Immaruizi made it to Larsa where he would running into a familiar face. As entered the city Immaruizi would run into a fisherman who turned out to be one of the slaves that he had freed, the fisherman would introduce himself as Malah and would thank again for what Immaruizi did for him and the other. Malah would ask what bring Immaruizi to Larsa to which he says he just passing through but also wanted to check in on the former slaves if they were doing alright to which Malah said they are and have all found work in the city to which Immaruizi would ask can he see them which Malah answered he could as soon as the day is done, Malah would explain the former slaves the he had freed meet every day to see how they are faring. After finish work Malah with the seven other former slaves would reunite with Immaruizi then former slaves aside Malah would introduce themself the three male slaves are Hazi, Kizurra and Kisher, the four females are Hilimaz, Hulla, Erish and Minussa. Immaruizi would how each of them been doing the last eight years to which they would say the journey to Larsa was long and they did not think they would make it but they manage to make and would find work. They would also state they all have been married for two years which shocked him, Malah and Hilimaz were the first of the eight to get marry, Hilimaz would help her husband with the fish, Malah would catch the fish and Hilimaz would prepare the fish to be sold. Hazi and Hulla would be the second to married Hazi is one of the city farms Hazi would harvest the crops and Hulla would process the crops so they could be sold. Kizurra and Erish would be the third to marry, Kizurra is of the city weapon merchant he would make the weapon and sharpen it while Erish would clean the weapon so it is ready to be sold. Kisher and Minussa would the last to marry. Kisher is one of city scribes both he and Minussa work together they would document accurately all goods in the city. The eight former slaves have actually have become popular in the city people are saying they are the best kind of merchants and scribes in the city and eight former slaves had Immaruizi to thank for their new lives. Since Kisher and Minussa were both scribes Immaruizi would ask them both to him how to writing which surprised all eight of the former slaves, Immaruizi would explain that his teacher Abgal tough him how to speak Sumerian but he for got to ask his teacher before he died, after hear the reason behide Immaruizi request Kisher and Minussa agreed to his request. For the next week Kisher and Minussa were surprised of how fast Immaruizi learn plus show them a fast way of making and hardening clay tablets by use mold to shape the tablets and fire to harden it. The two married scribes would not be the only ones. impressed with Immaruizi. Malah and Hilimaz would impressed with effective ways of catching fish, Immaruizi would create a special fishing net that raise from the water once a certain number fish get cough in the net a counter weight drops lifting the net with the captured fish into the air. Hazi and Hulla were also impressed with the new kind of farming tool to harvest crops. Kizurra and Erish would be the last that would be impressed with how well he can work with metal thanks the watermill forge hammer, after some minutes Immaruizi finished his first ever sword and tools made by his own hands. Kizurra and Erish were impressed with how well the sword and the tools were but question why it was so light but then after testing against one of the swords he and his wife had made and to the surprise of the two the blade Immaruizi created broke through impressing them yet again. The next day the eight former slavers would give Immaruizi gift for free them and for tools he made for them. Malah and Hilmaz would give Immaruizi a fishing net based on his design plus a fishing rod, Kisher and Minussa would give Immaruizi maps of the region/known world, Hazi and Hulla would give Immaruizi tools that were based off the tool Immaruizi made for the two and Kizurra and Erish let have the sword plus dagger he made and would give him a bow and arrow who arrows were made by Kizurra and Erish for the watermill hammer. The reason they gave immaruizi these gifts was because they had a feeling that Immaruizi was getting ready to leave. Immaruizi would say goodbye to the eight slaves he freed back then and would say he will never forget them and will miss them. After leaving the city Targon would look at the map he was given as gifts. He would begin planning the the journey through this world, that night Targon would be ambush by some bandits which left him no choice but to fight and during the fight Targon was cut on one of his shoulders, one of his arms and one of his leg. Targon manage to kill three out of the nine bandits. Two of the bandit restrain Targon so they could kill him but then something unexpected happened the bloody spots in the sand where Targon was cut some how created three clones of Targon, with the clones help Targon managed to kill the remaining bandit. Targon ask the three clones some questions which they would answer as best as they could. The first question Targon would ask was how were the clones create to which the clones did not give a straight answer, the second question Targon would ask was about their appearance while Targon tell that they had all of his memories and some of skills and the third question could the clones share their memories with Targon which they confirmed and the final question was how may clones could he make to which the clone would state they make as much as they can as long Targon does not die. After hear the clone answers Targon planed to create a few more clones so he could explore this world better and see the progress of the inhabitants of this world. Targon would wait two day to create more clones, after recovering from the wounds Targon got from the bandits and create as many clones as he could, after cutting both of his hands Targon managed to create ten more clones found that was his limit but Targon would not attempt to create more because he felt that he and his thirteen clones would be enough to explore this world. forty years would pass since Targon create the thirteen clone and he would return to Eridu to see how much had change, the first place he would visit was his late teachers potter shop, Targon now using the name Ankizi check to see if any one was home and/or busy which a man named Maur would answer, Ankizi would introduce himself and would state that his grandfather told about how Abgal helped his grandfather and wanted to pay his respect to which Maur was delighted to have because Maur was the child of Garim and Gashan which surprised Ankizi which would lead him to ask Maur about the fate of Gazar and Hili to which he does the two married when they reached adulthood, Hazar became a priest while Hili became a scribe and would have children of their own. After learn this Ankizi asked if he could see to which he could see Gazar but would state he does not have much time left because he has been sick for months and Hili died three years ago. Ankizi would visit Gazar who is now an old man, as Ankizi approached Gazar he would begin to talk about he came to Eridu to pay respect to the person help his grandfather to which after looking at him found he looks just like Immaruizi. After seeing that the two were alone Ankizi would show Gazar the clay figure he, Garim, Gashan and Hili made forty years for their master as a parting gift, Gazar would ask Ankizi if his grandfather gave it to him when he told him about his old apprentices to which it was not his grandfather instead he would answer that Gazar,Gashan,Gashan and Hili were ones who gave him the figure so their master would not forget them which Ankizi would he thought of them every day and night ever since he left Eridu. Gazar then few tears began to run down his face because he was overjoyed to see his old master which he believed he would never see again. Gazar would state after look at Immaruizi he sees that Immaruizi/Ankizi has not age a day since he last saw his old master forty years ago and would as if his youthful appearance was gift from the gods to which Immaruizi/Ankizi would explain that while he does have youthful appearance Immaruizi/Ankizi also has the ability recover fast from injuries and would decide to show his old apprentice his true form, Gazar was shocked to learn that his former master is dragon to which Gazar would ask his former master his real name, Gazar old master would reveal his name is Targon which in peoples language meant burning fang to which Gazar was a little surprised because how could some with a ferocious name to Targon would be able to show compassion to a slave boy to which Targon would state I got my name because he was a red dragon, Targon would also exlpain that his father Thoron name means wise leader in his people's language. After hear what his father name and it meaning Gazar better understood Targon better which would lead him to ask Targon why did he come to this world. Targon would explain he wants to explore this new world he has come to, is also on a journey to find himself and to find some peace. After hear the reason why Targon is here Gazar understood especially after being a priest for forty years Gazar understood that one of the greatest journey one could take is the journey of the soul. Knowing that Gazar did not have long much time left Targon would call Gazar's family not knowing that they and some priests overheard their conversation. After saying goodbye Gazar would pass away Targon was the first one to leave because he wanted to be alone with his grief which he would recover after lying the last survivor of his Eridu family. After Targon left the room Gazar died his family and the priest that over heard Targon's and Gazar conversation witness something wondrous happened a rainbow coloured crystal appeared over Gazar and slow lowered onto his chest Meshara Gazar's oldest son and Maur who was Gazar family as well recognized the crystal because unbeknownst to Targon three three of the same crystals appeared after Garim, Gashan and Hili died and would contain their memories. After laying Gazar to rest he would travel to Larsa to see what the fate of the eight slaves he freed forty years ago. After going to the fisherman house he learn that Malah and Hilimaz had passed away ten years ago but not before leaving behide two sons Kishar and Hurin, for the Hazi and Hulla farm and was left to their son Henbur, for Kizurra and Erish forge it was still their which is now in the care of the sons Harran and Mezem and for Kisher and Minussa their work is being continued by their daughters Niggina and Namkuzu and are currently taking care of their mother which Targon would request to see her before she dies which the sisters agree to his request. Targon using the name Ankizi would speak with Minussa speak to her, he would show her the gifts that she ,Malah, Milimaz, Hazi, Hulla, Kizurra, Erish and Kisher believes that Ankizi is Immaruizi grandson and was glad to see Immaruizi gifts are in good hands, she would also comment that Immaruizi was a skilled person for learn so much in such a short amount of time to which Ankizi would comment he was able to learn fast was because she was a good teacher to him, Minussa realized that she is talking to the same person who freed her and the others forty years ago. Immaruizi/Ankizi would confirm to her that he was the same person forty years ago. Minussa would ask Immaruizi/Ankizi ask how he is still look the same after all these years which he would explain the he has ability to have a long life and that he is from a far away land not of the gods nor demon and has come to this world to explore it and is on a journey to find himself and one day find peace. After hear his reason for coming to her world she understood and would thank him for giving her freed and chance to live. Minussa ask Immaruizi/Ankizi to reveal his true form and name to which he agrees revealing that his name is Targon and is a dragon. After his final talk with Minussa he would call in her family and their friends who were consider family to her who also over heard Targon's and Minussa. Minussa would pass away after saying goodbye to her family, like with Gazar Targon would be the first leave the room to grieve alone and like with Gazar a rainbow coloured crystal appeared above Minussa, the people recognized the crystal because like with the other seven. After Minussa was lad to rest Targon would leave Larsa. The children of Targon apprentices and the eight freed slaves would meet to talk about Targon and about the crystal. A Namshita priest who was there when crystal appeared above Gazar would examine the crystal and then something happen Namshita somehow experienced Gazar's memories and when brought together experienced all the memories of the people Targon touched/saved and would see Targon's past. After seeing all those memories they were alright but all of them were forever changed. The children of the people Targon saved would make pledge to save as many people as they can just like how targon saved their parents and would call Targon Ušumgallu. Targon had no idea saving those twelve slaves would have an large effect on human continue to change the human world for the better and continue after Targon would return to his world.
