A Crystain Promise

A CRYSTAIN PROMISE.

Suzain and crystal were closer than sisters.They made a lot of promises to each other.

Sometimes, they were not be able to fulfill them.

Hence, they made a rule.

A special kind of promise,A CRYSTAIN PROMISE.

'Cryst' from Crystal and 'ain' from Suzain.

They swear in the name of Heaven and Earth that they would never break this promise.The one who broke the promise would be struck by lightning.

"Are you hesitating because you are afraid of being struck by lightning?"Crystal's voice was barely audible .She was trying her best not to go into an endless slumber.

Suzain shook her head furiously.Droplets of tears splattered on Crystal's face as they made down their way from Suzain's eyes.

Suzain leaned forward and touched her forehead with Crystal's without paying attention to the fact that it is covered in blood staining Suzain's forehead too.

This was the way they made a Crystain promise.

They leaned their foreheads together and whispered the contents of their promise in each other's ears.

Crystal weakly whispered in Suzain's ear,"Never cry for me."

Suzain's eyes went wide in surprise and she hurriedly retracted her head only to see cRustal's eyes loosing focus and closing down slowly

A bright smile was visible on her face and she mouthed her last words with her lips barely moving,"I am glad to meet you for the last time."

Crystal's eyes were closed.Her heart stopped beating, her breathing also stopped.Crystal was dead as her head dropped lifelessly in Suzain's lap.

Suzain  never wanted to believe what she saw in front of her eyes,

She would never believe that  Crystal died in front of her eyes but she was not able to do anything.

Suzain sat there with the dead Crystal in her arms until the ambulance arrived,

Until that time, a lot of people have gathered around both of them.

Some were scared while, some felt sorry for Crystal and felt sad for Suzain

Most of them were high-school students who were there for extra-classes in the evening.

Suzain and Crystal were excellent students during their time in school ,Also they became increasingly successful in their career later on.With Suzain becoming a top architect and Crystal a growing genius n the business-world.It is due to the reason that they were used as an example for the high-school students by their teacher.Not only that their photos were pasted on the board about one of the most outstanding students ever since the high-school was founded.

The students could easily identify them and started whispering to each other about Crystal's death.

Someone was patting Suzain's back to comfort her but she didn't knew who it was.

All her efforts were engaged in holding back her tears which were about to pour out because of the pain and despair of losing her only family member.

But, Suzain couldn't cry.This was the last promise she made to her friend and she would fulfill it no matter what.

The ambulance came and started taking Crystal's body away.

Suzain didn't protest and allowed them to take her to the ambulance but requested to accompany Crystal.The hospital employees didn't reject as they had witnessed many people lose their loved ones and Suzain's request wasn't much either.She just wanted to be with her friend.

When the ambulance arrived at the hospital, Crystal's body was taken to the morgue.As for the details of her death.They were unknown, so the police was informed of this matter.

As for Suzain, she sat on a bench near the hospital's reception.

Her clothes were covered with crystal's dried blood.Her eyes were red gazing at a distance but she didn't shed a single tear.

Only a scene kept playing in her mind,Crystal was laying lifeless in her arms and the only words that echoed in her mind were DON'T CRY FOR ME.

Suzain has lost her closest friend, her sister with whom she grew up.
