Miss-Understanding

What would you do if you were forced into marriage? Amelia chose the least sane option and ran away from home. “Getting married before 25 is like leaving a party at 8pm, NOT FUN, take it from me.”- Amelia the “wise” person. Amelia Smith, heiress of the Smith family, daughter of the CEO of Oasis and granddaughter to the Chairman of the largest jewellery company in the country, had to marry some dude she never met. The “dude” whom she had to marry was Jason Wilson, a very famous actor with the prestigious title “Movie King”, the second son of the Wilson family. “Can you guys believe that he literally begged to marry me?”- Amelia Author: I can’t, and you are literally my creation. Amelia: “And because of that, I’m being forced to marry him! I know I’m pretty and that many people want to marry me, but what I want is to find my own true love!” Author: Tone it down, you’re being cringy. Amelia: -_- “Okay, so you ran away. How’s that going on for you?” you may ask. Amelia: In a very weird- Author: But completely believable way! Amelia: LET ME SPEAK! Ahem, where was I? Oh right! I ended up working for my “fiance’s” brother. -_-||| *Scene* “Wait! You’re the CEO of this company?!” Amelia almost shouted. “Yes, Ms Luna Brown, I am the CEO of this company. And from now onwards, you are my servant” *cue an evil smirk followed by malicious laughter* Chris Wilson, the heir of the Wilson family, is the type to hold grudges, poor Amelia should not have offended him, especially since he is her boss. “I think you meant ‘secretary’, I am not your servant” Amelia (fake name- Luna Brown) nervously laughed. "…..same difference.” Chris Wilson said with a straight face. *cut* No big misunderstandings (I noticed the irony in the title, what I meant is that the misunderstanding won’t make you all frustrated), no snake like step-mothers or step-sisters. A slow romance between the protagonists, and there is no extreme OPness, so the characters are believable. Sorry, but no smutty or steamy scenes. This is a clean, slow romance and comedy novel :)

Jealousy?

If that was not a tree then.....did we almost hit a person?! My soul almost left my body 'I can't take this any longer'.

"CHRIS WILSON, I am never getting in the car if you are the one to drive. This is my promise to you and to myself."

"Well, then, you drive the car next time, Ms Brown."

"Gladly" I said while glaring at him.

Okay, so number 99 on the list of things Mr Wilson can't do, driving. I made a mental note.

"Ugh" My stomach felt all woozy, I really don't want to barf here, or anywhere for that matter.

Chris was used to being taken care of, but not taking care of, so he had no idea what to do when I wasn't feeling good. I mean, at least he tried something but I hardly thing a band aid is going to be much of a help when I'm throwing up my guts.

I clutched my stomach and asked him, "Chris, please get me a soda."

I desperately need it to feel better.

And instead of doing what I asked, he behaved as stupidly as possible. He looked at me and asked me for change.

"Do I look like-" Yeah, no. Arguing with him now was not at all worth it. I shoved my handbag into his hands and told him, "just get me a soda, it is not much to ask, especially after you almost had us killed."

He ruffled his hair again as a sign of guilt. This idiot! I worked hard to set his hair right, and he ruined it just like he ruins everything! Oh, don't mind me, that's just 'gag' talk.

After ten minutes, yes, ten whole minutes, he came back. By this time, my body worked on its own and I felt better, no thanks to him -_-

"Why did it take so long?"

"I uhhh, got stuck in the line." He explained.

Does he think I'm dumb or something, wait no, of course he does. He even mentioned it several times. "What really happened, Chris?" I asked him again, giving him a chance to be a good person and tell the truth. Ahem! I'm not a hypocrite, I lie because I have to, I don't lie very often and for silly things.

Here's a tip. When a woman says 'What?' it's not because she did not hear you, it's because she's giving you a second chance, she is giving you a chance to change your answer.

I don't know where I read this, but it's very true.

Like a child who got caught stealing candy, he lowered his head in shame, "I had trouble with the vending machine."

Aye, this again? What is it with Mr Wilson and vending machines? It's like those machines hate him or something, they never let him live in peace. I felt guilty because Chris looked so pitiful when he had his head lowered also, since I knew his past, I kind of felt guilty for everything I did to him.

Well, that's a 'maybe' because he deserved some of those, okay.

"Sigh, it's okay but I don't get it." I 'forgave' him. But there was something which did not add up. Why did he look for a vending machine when there was a store, a few metres away?

Chris looked up and opened the can of soda for me. "What don't you get?"

Is he playing dumb? Quite possibly. "See there, there is a store right there. Why did you go looking for a vending machine instead?" I pointed at the store and asked him like I was interrogating him. FYI I was, actually.

Chris stiffened and quickly changed the topic, "Um, the movie is going to start soon. I hate being late, I am a very punctual person. You of all people are aware of this fact, so let's get going." After he blabbed this in super speed, he grabbed my hand and pulled me up (I was sitting).

Well, he's back to his normal self. He's back to being Mr Wilson and not Chris. Ugh, Chris was actually much better than 'Mr Wilson'. Maybe I should get him drunk again, you know, so he can be more fun.

I found out much later why he chose the 'hard' way instead of going to the nearby store. Actually, he went there to get a soda, but he saw that the labels had his brother's face plastered on it. I could not believe it when I heard it myself but, Chris was actually unwilling to buy me a soda with his brother's face because he felt worried that I'd keep looking at his brother instead.

I know, right? I can't believe it either. The proud Mr Wilson kept losing girls to his flirtatious and charming younger brother. This made me giggle, he'd rather go against his mortal enemy (the good old vending machine) than to give me a soda with his brother's picture on the label.

My heart went 'aww'. I'd rather run away from home than marry his brother, so I think my feelings are very clear. If only he knew about this. He'd worry a lot less.

At which point did Mr Wilson start liking me back? Not now, definitely. He thinks of me as a friend right now, and maybe, just maybe, he thought I was a good catch. I am, by the way ;)

But it was not until a little into the future from now that he realised he liked me. (I mean who would not? I'm so lovable and awesome hehe)

I asked Mr Wilson to stand in the line while I picked out a movie. And then midway I realised that I ordered Mr Wilson to wait, something his highness never does, and he actually listened to me?

See, if Mr Wilson was like this from the beginning, he and I would be as close as Adam and I were. I wonder what he is doing right now.

Though I took some time to choose a good movie, it was a waste of effort because everything was booked. -_-|||

And so we had to watch this extremely cheesy romantic movie, which made me want to barf all over again. Mr Wilson, I think I need another soda. Ugh, too late. Just kidding, I did not vomit, yet.

I could see a lot of couples in the theatre. Like seriously? This movie was that famous? But it was filled with a lot of cliches! Like there is 10% story and 90% cliches. Do people like these types of movies? Unbelievable. If not for every other movie being packed, I would never see this movie.

The movie soon started.....

"You're the first person ever to treat me this way, be my woman." The male lead held the female lead against a wall and said this.

I swear, I think I cringed myself to death. This does not look good on me, believe me when I tell you.

"Ah, another young woman, dead. How did this happen, I cannot see anything wrong with her physically." A doctor remarked.

"Hmm, according to the report right here, it seems that she died because of extreme cringing." Doctor no. 2 explained.

"What? How is that possible? Such a rare case I see why we you could not save her, there is no cure for it. Sigh, RIP."

And on my gravestone my final words would be 'Are you serious right now? What the hell?!"

A horrible way to die, I tell you.

If you guys felt that dialogues were cringy, this was not even half the deal. The main thing which made me very uncomfortable while seeing this movie was because the story was about the extremely common secretary x boss story. Like that, I felt extremely weirded out by the crush I have on Mr Wilson.

I swear that I will not let my love life be anywhere near to this story. Hopefully, it would be as far away as possible.

But Mr Wilson and I did not let this ruin the day for us. We made a fun game out of it, actually.

So the game was called, 'guess' and like the name suggests we had to guess what cliche would be shown in the movie next and whoever guesses it correct or first gets a point.

"Hmm, okay so I guess that the mother of male lead would show up and pay the female lead to leave him." I guessed.

Mr Wilson smirked at me as if he was saying, 'that's all you got?'

He said, "Ms Brown, the answer is quite obvious, but you were not able to guess it so let me reveal the answer so your brain won't get tired. It's quite obvious that the male lead's fiance whom he dislikes will show up and accuse the female lead in front of everyone that she was seducing the male lead. And quite obviously the male lead will show up at the right time and break off his ties with his fiance."

You know, Mr Wilson really deserves a beating from time to time.

And finally, the next scene arrived. I was right! I smirked at Mr Wilson and elbowed him. YESSSS!

"In your face Chris. See, I have a skill called intuition, something you lack. Unfortunately, its an innate talent, so don't waste your time and effort to try to catch up with me." BURNNNNN

Ahem.

Mr Wilson's face at that time was like this -_-

The couples seated around us glared at us for spoiling the movie. Sorry not sorry, even if we did not say it out loud, it was quite obvious as to what was going to happen next.

As you guys might have guessed already, I won. Hehe. I won~ Mr Wilson lost ~ I won ~ I won~

We left mid way because the movie was just not worth it. This time I drove the car.

While we were going back, Mr Wilson and I kept reminding each other of what happened in the theatre and kept laughing at it. I laughed so much that my stomach started hurting and there were tears in my eyes.
