Myra retracted her hands immediately and the popcorn ended up spilling on the floor. She stood up with a gasp. "Oh Shit."
Kevin turned around and returned to the kitchen immediately while she stood there moping like a fool. Why did she have to be so nervous and clumsy?
He returned with a vacuum cleaner.
"Sir, I'll do it." She tried to take the cleaner from him but he resisted, turning the suction on to clean the popcorn splattered on the floor.
Kevin returned to the kitchen to dispose of it without another word which made Myra more nervous, what if he decided to cancel the movie or worse gets disgusted with her constant clumsy attitude?
But when he returned there was a slight smile on his face. "It's just popcorn, Myra. Nothing to fret about."
She opened her mouth to talk but no words came out.
"Have your seat, the movie is about to begin." He instructed.
