Year 49 June, Minato's house

4 A.M

[Minato's POV]

*BEEP**BEEP**BEE-*

I turned the alarm off as I woke up, I am always in a love-and-hate relationship with this thing. I yawned as I rubbed the tiredness off my eyes. After drinking some water, I got off my bed and went to my bathroom.

I knew keeping water near me would come in handy one day.

I washed my face brushed my teeth and saw my reflection in the mirror. Honestly, I don't know why my class girls, or 'fan girls' as they like to call themselves, see in my face enough to drool. I changed into my usual training wear, took some kunai for self-defense, and started my morning routine. I ran around the village and greeted some villagers and after running for 30 minutes, I changed direction towards the Hokage Face mountains and reached my usual training spot. I proceeded to do some regular morning exercises and stretches for the flexibility of my body. I practiced my accuracy by throwing kunai at the fish in the river. I think I am starting to see the moving pattern of the fish. I threw six kunai at once, four of them hit their targets while the other two missed.

'Finally!! I got four, now I can eat 2 for breakfast and 2 for lunch'.

After completing my exercises I saw that the sun had already risen. I decided that this was enough for today collected all my kunai and took the fish to my home.

On my way home, I saw my houseowner, I greeted him with a smile. He just 'Dumped and went away, sir are you an Uchia? I laughed at my own joke and went home.

I made fried fish for my breakfast and lunch. After eating I checked if all the necessary things for school were there.

After packing my lunch I locked my house and departed to my school.

[A Few Minutes Later]

When I entered my classroom no one was present so I decided the most logical thing to do. I sat on my place which was the last bench, I took the book [Nature of Chakra] written by Hokage-sama and started reading it.

'So, one can have any chakra affinity, but can also learn other affinities with hard work. So I have to at least have 3 affinities mastered to become an elite-jonin'

Time passed and slowly all the students started coming in. After a few minutes, Sen-sensei started taking attendance. After that, he said today's first and second half would be basic maths and history. Most of the students started whining and I won't lie that it was indeed boring. Seeing that today's topics are basically useless for me I started reading my book.

'Reinforcing with Water-chakra protects from burns

Reinforcing with Fire-chakra increases the body temperature

Reinforcing with Wind-chakra increases the precision

Reinforcing with Lightning-chakra increases reaction speed

Reinforcing with Earth-chakra increases the durability

'So each affinity has its own perks, Kekki gennkais and kekki totas are a combination of two and three nature affinities that are passed down from one generation to the next.'

I heard the bell ring signifying the start of the lunch break, the students started rushing out of the classroom to enjoy their break. I closed my book and kept it inside my bag. I took out my lunch and made my way toward my own secluded spot in the academy, the rooftop.

I ate my meal in peace and came back to my class again, but I was stopped by a senior student

[3rd person POV]

"So he's the one who beat you Modoru?" asked Izuno, who was the brother of Modoru. Izuno was strong and tall for his age, and he had dark blue spikey hair and black eyes. He stood in front of Minato while looking down at him and rhetorically questioning his brother.

"Yes Nii-san" answered Modoru from the side.

"You are strong for an orphan, you know?" asked Izuno while looking at Minato who stood there cautiously, in a nervous state. Seeing Minato's state Izuno laughed suddenly and patted Minato's soldiers.

"Haha, look at your face. Haha did you really think I will beat you for defeating my brother in a spar?"

He asked while launching and pointing at Minato's face.

Minato who expected a beating from him was perplexed by the situation and asked,

"So why did you stop me, Uchiha-san ?"

Izuno who stopped laughing said,

"No need for formalities just call me Izuno, I just wanted to see you after Modoru told me he was defeated by the same kid again"

As he said that he came closer to Minato and started touching his arms and legs,

"You must have really trained hard to have a body like this at 8, when I was seven I just focused on kunai and chakra control"

After saying that he offered his hands for a handshake to Minato, Minato who was embarrassed by the praise just shook his hands while blushing slightly.

"Since I am going to graduate next year you can ask for any advice to me about ninja stuff thank you for taking care of my brother"

He said as he vanished using body-flicker

Minato who saw him disappear had stars in his eyes and asked Modoru

"Your brother is really talented Modoru! To learn [Body flicker] before graduating is crazy!"

Modoru didn't reply and said with a grunt

"And I'll be stronger than him so don't think that you will win the next month"

Modoru went away without looking back.

[After the school ends]

Minato made his way toward his training spot after escaping his fangirls. He increased his amount of regular exercise and ran a tree up and down to make his mind used to the change in balance. He went near the river and dug a hole near it. He filled the shallow hole with water thus making a puddle of water. He wanted to do as the book said, to increase his chakra control but didn't want to jump straight into a river so he made this puddle.

He placed his right leg in the water and controlled his chakra so that it didn't sink. After making sure that it stook well, he slowly raised his left leg and placed it too. After standing for a while he tried to walk but sank after taking the steps. He repeated the same training for half an hour and finally got a hold of it. He tried walking in the river but it was harder due to the currents, he practised in the shallow part of the river for an hour and finally started running in the water. He laughed like a child while running in the water and caught a little too much fish. He collected a total of 20 fish so he took 3 for himself and gave the rest to the orphanage he used to live in before dividing to become a ninja. If an orphan decides to become a ninja he would have to live on his own but he will be provided a monthly allowance.

He bathed and started making his dinner while reading the book [Ways to control chakra]. He ate and cleaned the dishes after making dinner. He entered his bedroom and started reading the book [Natures of Chakra] he read about how to protect the body while using fire lightning jutsus. On the last page of the book, he saw a chakra affinity paper. Seeing that he started getting nervous and anticipated what his chakra would be.

The page next it said that

'Fire: the paper will ignite and turn to ash.

Wind: The paper will split in two.

Lightning: The paper will crinkle.

Earth: The paper will turn to dirt and crumble away.

Water: the paper will become wet/damp

'

He slowly tore the chakra affinity paper off the book and started injecting his chakra into it. The paper split into two signifying that he had wind affinity one part of it crumbled and another part of it ignited and

Turned to dust signifying he had affinities for lightning and fire. Minato was shocked because having three affinities is very rare. Soon his happiness overcame his shock and he started laughing.

He lay on his bed and started thinking of all the ways to improve his training with this news. The book said that each chakra-affinity's reinforcements are unique and while having 3 affinities is good now I have to borrow books about basic nature transformations.

He slowly drifted to his sleep due to his tiredness.

[6 months later]

January, Year 50

[Minato's POV]

Hah, The past six months were tiresome. During this time I learnt basic nature transformation for all three of my affinities, They weren't that hard, and learning it made the training a lot easier and my chakra pool has been growing at a faster rate cause I empty it even faster. Izuno-san gave me advice on fire and lightning as he has the same nature. I asked Sen-sensei for advice on wind nature. He kept on saying how I was a genius and Izuno-san straight up told me I was a monster and no wonder my brother got jealous.I

Thinking of Iizuno-san, I wonder if he chooses to join a team or join the Uchiha guards. I should ask Modoru about his brother, he's still saying he would defeat me. Well, good luck with that.

I learned all three basic academy jutsus, [body substitution jutsu], [Transformation jutsu] and [clone jutsu] All three of them were very easy and I easily figured out how to perform it after seeing my sensei perform it once.

We started implementing jutsus in our training spars and the clone jutsu is not even a clone it is just a low-level genjutsu with many flaws like it deforms if you have the slightest distraction and can be seen through by civilians as it has no shadows and if the winds are strong and irregular it is very hard to maintain it but it severed as a very good training tool to control your concentration and chakra control.

Substitution and transformation jutsus are very useful, they work on the same principle you transform yourself in the case of transformation and you transform other objects in the case of substitution.

But according to me clone jutsu was the most versatile one, I made use of it while sparring matches. I made feints with the clone, like I made a clone hand in the middle of the spar and it punched the opponent's face while he tried to block it I punched with my real hand and knocked him down.

I got a lot of praise for that.

Today we are graduating next year. There will be no change in the classroom or teachers but we will be taught more things about seals, genjutsu, traps,jutsus, and strategies.

But I got my place changed to the bench before the last, can you believe it? Well, it's not hard to do so, But on the positive side the fangirls seemed to have matured and started ignoring me and I have no deskmate to annoy me.

Suddenly the door opened and Sen-sensei came inside. A cute girl with bright red hair followed him with a shy expression. She eyed everyone and our eyes locked for a few seconds, She broke off contact when the teacher told her to introduce herself.

"Well, this is your new transfer student... Come on, introduce yourself"

"Why is her hair so red??"

"Her hair is so weird"

"How did it get so red?"

Before she could introduce herself the other students started murmuring to themselves she blushed and shouted,

"I-I Am Kushina Uzumaki and I Will be the first female hokage!"

She seemed to have the same aim as me. The other students started laughing at her after that. To stop this nonsense I stood up.

"Me too, I wanna become the Hokage the whole village respects"

Seeing me stand up and shut up most of the students, Uzumaki-san just pouted at me and looked the other way.

Our teacher told her to sit on the empty spot beside me and started the usual boring and useless(for him) maths class.

"C-Can we share your book? I didn't bring mine" Uzumaki-san asked me while blushing and avoiding looking me in the eye.

"Sure," I said with a smile and her blush further darkened. What's up with that is he Kekkei Genkai, becoming red as blood?

She came closer to me to see the book, she smelled really nice.

"Where are you from Uzumaki-san?" I asked her as we shared my book.

"I-I am from Uzugakure I arrived at Konoha yesterday"

"I see welcome to Konoha Uzumaki-san"

"Thank you, you still haven't said your name"

"Oh, my bad I forgot to introduce myself, My name is Minato Namikaze. I want to become the Hokage"

"Hmph, dream on, only I will become the Hokage"

"Haha" I laughed awkwardly at the declaration.

We continued to chat about many things, she was afraid of not being able to make any friends in a new environment.

"Don't worry Uzumaki-san I can be your friend"

"Just call me Kushina, 'Uzumaki-san' feels weird"

"Then you too call me Minato, Kishina-chan" I replied smiling at the thought of having my first friend. She blushed harder and nodded her head like a hen.

"Y-Yes Minato-k-kun."

The class continued as we continued chatting. When it was time for lunch I found out that I left my lunch at my house, Kushina-chan offered to share her lunch but I denied it and asked my sensei's permission to go home to collect it.

I ran to my house running on walls and on top of roofs. I am pretty sure I heard someone shouting at me. I reinforced myself with wind chakra to increase my speed and reached my home, I took the keys which are usually hidden in the plant pot near my front door, and unlocked my door. I saw that the lunch was on the shoe rack.

'I must have forgotten it while wearing my slippers;

I took my lunch and proceeded towards my school the same way I came. When I reached the school I slowed down and started walking to my classroom.

When I entered my classroom I saw something that truly angered me. There was a lunch box on the floor, and all its contents were spilled on the floor. I instantly recognised that box, it was Kushina-chan's she offered to share it when I informed her that I had forgotten mine. I saw that three boys were standing around her,

Trying to rile her up using the word tomato? Is that supposed to be an insult? I really like tomatoes but they are expensive so I go with onions. Just as I was about to beat them up one of the boys came flying out, damn I didn't think she was that strong. She beat all of them up and I just stood there shocked with my mouth slightly open as I didn't think she would be this strong considering her shyness, it seems I shouldn't judge someone by their appearance.

She suddenly saw my shocked expression in the middle of the fight- no the beat down and stopped punching the other guy's face. Her eyes got teary and she rushed out of the room. Seeing that I looked at all the guys' faces to remember them correctly for some beatings. I came out of the school and searched for her. I couldn't find her so I climbed to the top of the school and searched for her. Suddenly I saw a bright red flash at the side of my eyes. It came from the forest near the school.

[3rd Person's POV]

Kushina ran as tears kept falling from her eyes. She avoided hitting the trees while running and ran deep inside this forest after running for a while. She stopped near a tree and sat there leaning on the tree and sniffing while trying to wipe off her tears.

"I am an idiot! *sniff* I went ahead and lost the first friend I made *sniff* now he's scared of me and will start to avoid me"

She continued to cry blaming herself and assuming things, unknown to her the sound of her crying alerted a bear that was near her, the bear slowly came in front of her while Kushina kept crying her eyes out, burying her face in her knees and sniffing. When she heard a twig crack in front of her, there stood a bear that looked at her in the eye ready to kill her. Kushina froze from the fear and shivered and sat in the same position.

Just as the bear was about to pounce on her, six kunais came from somewhere slicing through the air and piercing the pear in different vital spots, when the bear fell Kushina finally came back to her senses, she turned to see who saved her and there stood Minato with a sunny smile.

Seeing her state Minato came near her and hugged her.

When she felt him hug her she hugged him back with her full strength which made Minato have difficulties in breathing.

[Minato's POV]

Thank Sage I came here soon without informing the staff, It would have really been bad if I came a little later. I hugged her as she started crying and hugged me back with her full strength, nevermind even if I arrived late she would have survived it seemed that she was in a state of shock to react to the bear.

"I'm sorry *Sniff* Please don't avoid me!"

What's she thinking? Why would I avoid her?

"Why would I do that?"

I asked while patting her back as she still didn't release me from the hug, while I tried to calm her down.

"You don't think I'm weird?"

She asked me, What she experienced in her life to think she was weird.

"No, I don't. Why would I think that?"

"In my hometown, I was usually strong compared to others, so the kids there avoided me and called me weird. They said that was why I got sent to Konoha to be with mito Oba-san"

She answered after calming down. We just stood there in that position for a while. After making sure she calmed down I released her from the hug.

"Umm… Kishina-chan, can you release me from the hug"

She quickly released me from the hug and looked at the floor while blushing. I saw that her knees were scraped, Mabey she fell while running. I went near her and lifted her in a princess carry quickly, she yelped in surprise and started shouting.

"Drop me Minato!!" she was again blushing like crazy. I laughed at her reaction,

"But your legs hurt Kushina"

She didn't reply and hid her head on my shoulders.
