Samuel heard countless voices outside, all loud and aggressive towards each other. The problem was, he wasn't only hearing the voices outside- but the voices of the countless spirits in his head too.

*Kill them!*

*Fresh meat!*

*Young, succulent meat!*

[Dragon Fear Lv. 1 created. Dragon Fear Lv. 1 automatically activated.]

"SHUUUT UUUUP!"

Samuel couldn't help but yell out in annoyance, silencing all of the voices he was hearing, not only the people outside of his temporary base, but the souls surrounding him too. After about 20 seconds of silence, Samuel heard a few voices whispering; a couple of feminine ones and a male voice.

The warehouse doors were pushed open by a tall young man— a high schooler dressed in a red and black hoodie and carrying a chain weapon. As he entered, he abruptly stopped upon seeing the masked Samuel, who he thought was a monster due to his wings and the unnerving aura he felt from him.

"Stop blocking the door!"

A feminine voice complained from behind him as three girls pushed him aside to enter the building, also freezing up once they saw Samuel's winged figure. One of the girls was a teenager that had straight blonde hair and was dressed in leather armor with heavy makeup on her face. She wore a pair of gauntlets. Another one of them was taller, wearing plate armor along with a sword and shield, but her face was hidden by her armor. The last one to come in was a brunette with glasses who looked to be in her thirties, dressed in robes and holding a staff.

[Two other leaders enter your territory.]

"Is that a boss monster holding control over the item?" The blonde whispered

"Looks like it." Answered the one dressed in armor.

The man didn't appear to be part of their group as he didn't respond to them talking. Perhaps the three thought whispering would escape his ears, but with his class advancement, his senses were raised too. He could quickly feel the blood rushing to his head, raising his anger more and more as the three talked until he couldn't take it anymore.

"What boss monster, you fuckers! I'm as human as all of you!"

The three quickly quieted down and the chain user tensed up as he heard Samuel's words, but another annoying voice rang out in his ears as well.

*Man, you should really learn how to talk to girls, Sammy.*

"You shut the fuck up, Death Knight. And don't call me Sammy."

As they heard Samuel talk again, the four looked at each other in confusion. What was he even talking to? Maybe he had some sort of mental illness? Schizophrenia, maybe? Perhaps drug withdrawals?

"Back to you pests— what do you want from my place?"

"A-Ah we saw a pillar of light rise to the sky so we came to see what it was."

"You here for the same reason, kid?"

The high schooler didn't talk and only gave a nod in response to Samuel's question.

"Well that light came from me. I went through my awakening."

Samuel didn't bother to hide it, and directly told them instead, earning surprised gasps from the ones present, and even some of the people outside with keen hearing, who began to mumble and whisper. They had all awakened their classes on the first day, the latest among them awakening on the second day. Awakening on the fourth day was unheard of.

"Yeah, I get it! What's wrong with taking my sweet ass ti-"

[Acquired achievement: Lazy or Slow?]

"Why are you bullying me too, system?"

Samuel was unsure if everyone had to awaken using monsters of a high level since the system said it was a privilege, but just in case it wasn't the same for everyone, Samuel acted like he just didn't feel like doing it on the first day.

"If you're disappointed— good. Leave my base if you have nothing else to discuss."

"Samuel? Is that you?" The woman dressed in heavy armor asked.

"Who's asking?"

"It's me, Camilla." She said while taking off her helmet, revealing her short black hair.

"Oh you're that athletic chick from uni. How'd you know it was me?"

"No one on campus doesn't know you, the guy who beat up the school's kings and has both under and upperclassmen calling him boss. Your rough voice is very recognizable too."

"Fair enough. Now if you have no other business, the doors are behind you."

Samuel could care less about the fact that they knew each other. She was wasn't even an acquaintance in his eyes, and he had no interest in them or their followers. He took a seat on the floor and opened up his achievements tab.

[Beginner tamer: Tame 5 creatures, . {See crest}]

[Lazy or slow?: Grants the skill: Evil Eye Lv.1]

[Kingslayer: Grants increased stats when fighting against a higher level opponent]

[The evil knight and the wings of restriction: You are a local legend, and as such you gain an extra +5 in charm]

[Fujin: You have shown an incredible control over the powers of the wind. Grants 50% more damage to all of your wind attacks.]

[Ghostly Spirit Body: You are a container of countless evil souls. This achievement lessens your torture by torturing someone else with those souls until their minds decay.]

'These titles are a middle schooler's dream.'

*Yeah it feels like that at times with the system.*

'I forgot you were here.'

*You're literally the only other being I can interact with. I'm stuck with you.*

Samuel went back to looking through his status, pressing the evil eye skill he just got.

[Evil Eye Lv. 1: You can cast debuffs through your sight by focusing magic on your eyes and thinking of the debuff you want.]

Samuel then decided to finally check his status.

[Name: Samuel Zaya.

Stats:

There were other stats besides these, so Samuel decided to focus on just the ones he thought were most important until he read the others later.

As he turned his head to look at the doors, the three girls discussed for a bit before leaving while the high schooler was already gone.

Now, it was time to think of what he would ask from the system for their apology.

Not much plot progression here, just adding more stuff to the worldbuilding and introducing a little backstory.
