Unexpected Intruder.

With a deep breath, Samuel left his bed to explore the rest of the room. The room was incredibly spacious, equipped with a kitchen, a spacious bath, a living room, a luxurious bedroom and a large backyard with a garden and a small pond, where he decided to release his pets. After letting his pets roam free, Samuel headed to the kitchen to see what was there, and was delighted to see that it was equipped with everything he would need to make a proper meal. However, Samuel didn't know how to cook, apart from putting a piece of meat on the fire.

As Samuel was thinking of what to make, he heard a knock on the door. Opening it, he would see none other than Augusta, who was dressed in her battle gear. "Hey there... Augusta..."

"'ello, chicken wing." Said the woman while forcing her way into Samuel's temporary home to take a look around. "Have you had anything to eat yet?"

"Not yet, actually." Samuel responded, deciding to not remark on how she just barged into his room.

"Go siddown while I make us somethin'." She said before placing her sword next to one of the walls. She stepped into the bedroom and changing into some more casual clothes. "Actually, go shower and change. The clothes of the homeless would be in a better state than yours."

"Oh, thank you for reminding me to buy those, actually." Spoke Samuel before leaving the room to head to the shops. Although he wanted to just buy regular clothes, he was captivated by the incredible amount of top tier armor disguised as mere clothing, much to the dismay of the gnome looking over the shop.

"How may I help you, dear customer?" Said the gnome clerk, with an unkind frown painted on his face. Even if he was put in charge of the shop, he was famed for his works, and a level ten robin was nowhere near worthy of his clothes that were made for kings and heroes. 'Window shopping is supposed to be done from outside, not inside.' He thought.

"I'd like a few sets of clothes for 50,000 points or less, and one set for... 500,000 points or so." Spoke Samuel, his hideous "face" hidden by the mask he wore. The amount that he set had indeed surprised the gnome tailor.

"Pardon me, but may I ask what your name is, sir?" The tailor's tone was suddenly more respectful after knowing what Samuel's budget was.

"Samuel Zaya, why?"

The gnome had a moment of realization after knowing his name. "So it's mister Zaya. Forgive my rudeness just now." He said before picking out some clothes from the racks first, most likely being the 50,000 point sets. Once he was done, he headed to the back of the shop to find the other clothes he was asked to find, before returning with three sets, one priced at 500,000 points, another at 550,000 points, and the last one priced at 700,000 points.

"All eight of the sets priced at 50,000 are equipped with a self-repair, self-cleaning, and automatic fit functions. You can activate the functions by injecting the clothes with any non-elemental magic. You can also come later to improve them, but it'll cost you. As for these, the 500,000 point suit and pants have a minor blunt and slash damage resistance rune, along with minor fire resistance, and the features of the cheaper sets. the 550,000-"

"Actually, do any of them have holes for wings? Ones about... this size?" Samuel said as he spread his wings in the shop.

"The automatic fit function takes care of that, sir." The gnome assured him. Even if he felt a tad angry at how he had been interrupted in the middle of his explanation, he would tolerate the chicken, since he was used to other winged customers having the same worries. "As I was saying, the 550,000 point set has an intermediate magic resistance function."

"How much is intermediate?"

"30% damage reduction, and depending on your innate magic resistance, you might be unaffected by magic below a certain level."

"Call me qliphort towers, then. What's that last set?"

"This is Serene Seagull, tailored specifically for flying things that shouldn't be flying- like you. It's a skintight suit with a face mask and goggles. The mask uses your mana to produce breathable air, and the goggles protect your eyes using magic. The suit is self-explanatory."

"This is..." It was such an incredible difference from all of the other clothes, most of which being tuxedos or hoodies. "Do you have anything else with similar features? Something less..."

"Perverted? I have other items with almost identical specs, but they cost more, and also have the skintight suit." Responded the gnome almost immediately.

"Any more futuristic looking ones?"

"Like mech suits? I don't have those, but you could ask the insectoid and blacksmith over there, though their prices might be a little expensive."

"I have three million points or so. That should be enough." Samuel mused, only to be met with a pitying smile from the gnome. Upon seeing that, Samuel could only sigh. "I'll take everything you've shown me."

"Thank you for your patronage, dear client." The gnome said with a big smile as he deducted the amount from Samuel's points, leaving him with 850,000 points. It hadn't even been a day, and Samuel had already gone through more than 90% of his points.

While he really wanted to out the other shops indicated by the gnome, he had to head home quickly. Not because he feared Augusta's anger, but what she could do to the room he had. He didn't know if his pets would like her, either.

Once he was home, the wonderful smell of stew wafted into Samuel's nose, so he had no choice but to go check the kitchen, where he found Augusta cooking. "Hm? Oh. You're back, chicken wing."

"Yeah... I didn't know you could cook, Augusta..."

"D'you think I was a barbarian who only knew how to fight?" Questioned Augusta, who turned to look at him with a wooden spoon in hand.

"Yeah..." He said while averting his eyes from her piercing gaze.

"Eh, I don't blame ya. Now go shower. You smell." She said while shooing him out of the kitchen.
