The merge

The sound of frantic breathing was the only sound one could hear under the deck of a bloodied and damaged ship sinking to the bottom of the ocean. In a dark corner was a young boy, his blue eyes filled with fear, his black hair in a mess and his clothes in tatters. He was in water up to his knees and had a bullet hole in his chest.

The boys name was Lin En, the son of the captain of the ship on which he was on right now. As for the reason he was hiding? Well a few days ago armed pirates approached and climbed aboard their ship in search of valuables. The ships crew members were caught by surprise and and didn't have time to hide themselves. They were all quickly captured and rounded up. The pirates, after having found no valuables on board decided to ransom off the ships crew to their family.

However how could the families, who relied on the salaries of the ships crew for basic needs, be able to fork up any significant amount of money?

Aware of this problem, the crew members decided to rebel against their captors, for that was the only chance they had at survival. But they were swiftly defeated by the pirates who had guns. The pirates were enraged but also afraid that another rebellion might start soon so they gave up on ransoming the crew members and proceeded to kill everyone.

Lin En thought that if be could lock himself under the deck he would be able to survive, but he was shot in the chest by a pirate while on his way to hide under deck.

So there he lay, wounded and dying. Feeling sad for the loss of his fatger and uncles on board, yet having no tears to cry out. He just waited. He waited for the abbys to stare back at him and consume him. He knew it was coming, there was no escaping it. As he was waiting he kept remembering the fun times he had with his father. How much his father sacrificed to raise him after his mother left them. He also remembered how the pirates lodged a bullet right between his fathers eyes. He cursed the pirates and the world for being unjust.

As time passed he could barely keep his eyes open, he felt as if his eyelids were as heavy as a mountain. And after some more time his eyelids covered his eyes, and the last droplet of blood drained out of his body from the hole in his chest.

He died just like that. Having achieved nothing of note, living a life of mediocrity and blandness.

On another plane an old man also breathed out his last. Also alone and unaccomplished. He was a sect master, yet he had no sect. How could he have a sect when he had no cultivation?

And so on a green mountain peak a mortal sect master was embraced by the abyss.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the old man breathed out his last, a multicolored light streaked across the sky falling in his direction. However he died before he could notice it.

After the multicolored light collided with the old mans body it actually entered his body!

The multicolored light was Lin En's soul. He was wondering where he was when he suddenly collided with an old man and then his surroundings went dark.

"Where am I?" he asked himself as he scanned his surroundings.

"Ah! Who are you?" came an old and ancient sounding voice from behind him.

As Lin En turned around he saw a light in the shape of an old man, who he presumed was the soul of the old mans body with which he collided

Before Lin En could say anything the old man started speaking:

"No, don't speak. It does not matter even if I know who you are, after all I am dying and don't have much time. I presume you will take over this old body of mine. If that is the case I hope you can do me a favour. All i want is for you to use this body and start a sect, raise powerful disciples and make my face famous throughout the world"

Lin En didn't know what was going to happen to him next, yet he still accepted:

"Senior I swear to fulfill your dreams in your stead and bring this body hounour. You have my word on that."

"Good!" smiled andsaid the old man as his soul started turning into particles of light and flying out of his body

At the same time the old man's soul completely left his body, Lin En passed out

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Lin En finally regained conciousness he realised he wasn't inside the old mans body anymore. Insted emptyness he was surrounded by a lush forest and occasional clouds.

"I'm alive?!" he yelled, yet the voice that came out of his throat sounded older and more ancient than his grandfather's back home.

Hearing his voice he quickly looked at his arms and saw that his hands were as wrinkly and thin as the branch of the oldest tree back home.

"So it was all real? The pirates, the deaths, the old man and his weird wishes?" he questioned his existence before a surge of memories assaulted his mind, and he once again fell onconcious from the sheer pain.

As be awoke he still had a migraine, but he also had new knowledge.

He wasn't on Earth anymore, he was currently on a planet called Scarlet Draw, a world where cultivation and cultivators existed.

He was in the body of Qin Yun, the sectless sect master, a person whose dream was to become a sect master yet he couldn't find a cultivation technique no matter how far and wide he searched.

As he was sorting through his memories he heard a robotic voice speaking, yet as he tirned around he saw no one.
