CHAPTER FOUR

✨ MICA LOUIS ✨

CHAPTER FOUR

There was this particular girl in the High school she attended. She was a non-human and she had no quality of a human except from a human body. When Mica saw her for the first time, she got to understand that she was better than some people. At first, she thought she was the worst but it turned out that she wasn't. There're millions of people worse than her. The thought of eating a corpse flower frightened her. She had seen a lot of people eating weird things but a corpse flower was worse than those. She got irritated easily, so she couldn't like the fact that she had to eat something as smelly as a corpse flower. Both she and Blaine went to another shaman to see if they were going to get a better solution but to their surprise, the answer they got was nothing to write home about.

" There's no way she would become human", the shaman said.

"What do you mean by that? Other shamans reassured us that she would become human but what you're saying here is very different." Blaine said in confusion as she folded her arms around her waist.

" The monster's blood in her is made of corpse flower but her eyes are made of red crystals. When such a situation happens that a monster impregnate a human, it'll be extremely difficult for the child to become human. But in your case, the monster that impregnated you is a monster made of red crystals and corpse flower—a very strong monster. Just give up already. " The shaman replied in an unsatisfying manner.

" Then, if the monster is that powerful, why didn't I have powers?" Mica asked.

"Well, I'm not sure. Maybe, it's your fate. Who knows?" He said doubting.

"Fate? So weird. What such of fate is that? Mum, I'm really hopeless. "

"It's fine, we will get going right away." Blaine said as she grabbed Mica's hand and left.

It turned out to be that what the first shaman said was different from the second. They didn't know who to believe.

"Mum, never mind. I guess I will give up being human." Mica said in the car as Blaine drove fast out of anger of whom she should believe.

"Why? Just, why me? Why would I give birth to a non-human. Why?" Blaine cried.

"Mum, are you regretting giving birth to me now?" She asked in dismay.

"No, it's nothing like that. Never mind. " She said pretending to be fine.

"Mum, you know what? I'm going to be a successful writer. I got to realize that 'being different is normal but want to change the fact that you're different is abnormal.' I may have red eyes right now but there're a lot of people worse than me. Some non-humans never get to have human body but all they have is a teeth. Mum, being different means you're special. No matter what might had happened, I don't want to think about it any longer. Just as the shaman said, it's my fate and I have to accept it. Don't worry mum, I'm fine." Mica said looking forward — sounding determined.

"You've grown a lot girl. Yes, you're right. It's we humans fault that we are the same and piss off when we see people different from us not knowing that such people are special and unique unlike us that are all the same ". Blaine replied as they both laughed.

**********

Blaine's company went bankrupt. She knew she was doomed and had nothing to do. She went around to get money but no one supported her.

Was it Mr Hart who lied to her?

"Please, just this once, remember the good deeds I've done for you. Remember the day that you came running to me that your daughter had been sent out of school. Remember raining days. Please Mr Hart. "

" I understand but I presently don't have any money on me. What should we do? I spent on my money on my mother's treatment. I'aint got no money." He replied even though he was lying.

"I understand. It's fine. " She said as she took her bag.

Or Miss Donna who insulted her?

"I've got no money. Wow! You're so interesting. I can't believe that. A whole CEO coming to lend money. This is fun. I'aint got no money. Ma'am. You can use the door."

Or even Mica who warned her?

" Mum, I can't believe you. Why will your company go bankrupt? Stop the bankrupt. I don't know what you're going to do or how you're going to do it but just stop the bankrupt. It's for the best, mum. We can't survive without that company, you know." She warned.

"I'm trying but I just couldn't figure a way out. No one agreed to lend me some money to pay back the loan. My properties are used for the collateral and I don't want to lose them."

"Mum, try to do something. Everything will be fine, okay?" She replied out of empathy.

No one tended to lend her some money. She decided to go to her aunt who also lived in Indonesia. On her way, she had an accident and was rushed immediately to the hospital. As they couldn't find any guardian, they called Mica.

"Hello, who's this?" Mica asked on the phone.

" Please, is this Mrs Robert's daughter?" The caller asked.

"Yes", she replied.

"Please, she had an accident and is right here in the hospital right now. We need you to come as her guardian ."

"What!"
