Chapter One
'Do you have the papers categorized alphabetically', Nigel asked another redundant question as Emily hurried to strapp on her poncho.
'Yes, exactly the way you'd instructed, from Rs to Ys, got it', Emily said, unable to hide her annoyance towards his constant worrying.
'Do you know where you're headed?', Nigel asked causing Emily to dart her gaze towards him.
She sighed, 'I know you're worried because you do not want me to mess this up, but you've gotta have a little fate in me', she'd sculpted her dark auburn brows into a crescent of distress, 'Just relax Nigel, everything will be great. I know how much this means to you', she'd smiled finally reassuring him.
'Take my car?', Nigel suggested
'If it'd make you feel any better, I will', she'd said, grabbing the keys from the table, 'Later', she'd told him before exiting the premises, glad he'd finally be able to rest after this was done.
